It's cool that you have two Superman and simeon videos in a row with the Kong one before this, and Lynda Carters Wondy is a nice addition also R.I.P Doc Savage, Ron Ely.
Time travel is my favorite story line. So many possibilities and it's always cool seeing characters show up in different times and settings than what you usually see them in.
Meeting ones self in a different time has been pretty common on Doctor Who. There have been episodes with 2 doctors, 3 doctors and 5 doctors and one with 2 familiar doctors, the previously unknown War Doctor, and The Curator who may or may not be the fourth doctor.
I hope you all enjoy this imaginary time travel journey by television's 1950s Superman and trivia facts from the Adventures of Superman episode, Through the Time Barrier.
In Superman The Movie, it's kinda in dispute, but a lot of people think that Superman did not turn back time, he just flew back in time by himself by traveling faster than light (it's a movie), and the world went backwards to show he was traveling back. He flew around the world not to turn it backwards, but just to stay in the same area so he didn't fly off into the solar system somewhere and have to fly back. Maybe same difference, though! Making time run backwards, going back in time ... same result! It's a fantasy movie so who knows? Maybe I'm overthinking this ... :)
That makes better sense, actually. I guess, I stuck with the interpretation that I made when I was a kid, but it really doesn't make sense that he turned time back for the whole world. But then, there might be two of him running around, present Superman and past Superman, which is a problem, but that's the kind of stuff movies and TV often look the other way on.
I wasn't born until very late December 1957, in fact, 5 days and I would have been born in 1958. As a result I didn't get to see any of the George Reeves Superman except his cameo on I Love Lucy. Our 1 station didn't run any of his on reruns. In fact, I was 60 years old before I got to see the 1950s Superman, on DVD, and complete. I have thought of various scenarios for George Reeves Superman including Superman 2 with George, although mine is 3 on 3 as Superman is joined by Supergirl and a Hardcore Hero I created against Zod, Ursa, and Non. With the Villains getting some help from Luthor.
I got to see George Reeves Superman when I was a kid in re-runs back in the early 80s. I think the first time though was on a black and white TV set my mom had in the kitchen. For some reason it was the only TV that could pick it up. That was right before we got cable.
I would say going back in time and changing something would create another time line. Of course, I also sometimes think we are characters in someone's dreams... the universe is so infinite!!😊
The Twilight Zone episode, Shadow Play, actually had me worried I was just a character in someone's dream when I was a kid. Boy, that was a scary show for a kid.
1950s Superman was also Superboy. He was played by Jeffrey Silver in the first episode of Adventures Of Superman in the scene where he tells Ma Kent how he saw a baseball behind a rock with his x-ray vision. Then after George Reeves died, Superboy was played by Johnny Rockwell in the 1960 Adventures Of Superboy pilot.
Awesome video Mr Tvcrazyman. But what I don't understand is that Clack Kent went back with Lois and everybody else not Superman. You don't think they realized Clark Kent was Superman in that episode. Have a good one and until your next video ✌️ Mr Tvcrazyman.
Poor Ron Ely had to spend the last 5 yrs of his life in bad health & Grieving the lost of his wife & son. The Case of his murdered wife is Really bizarre & Ely's family has SUED the police dept 😢😔🙏🏼
I never fully watched Through the Time Barrier. I wondered why they were dressed as cave people. It was in color? If it was in black and white, it could use dinosaur footage from One Million B C. The first episode had earthquake footage depicting the destruction of Krypton. As for Planet of the Apes, that was done in a video called Superman goes the Wrong Way. Christopher Reeves version did just that when he tried to save Lois Lane. Another good time travel scenario for Superman might be going to Ancient Greece and meeting Hercules.
The footage of Krypton in the first episode of Superman was actually taken from the first episode of the first (of two) Superman movie serial (AKA cliffhanger or chapterplay). To "sell' their serials to the theater chains the producers used the largest budget of any of the chapters on the first episode. While the remaining episodes would be 15 minutes each the first episode of a serial was often a half hour so the larger budget made sense. And if it was impressive enough in that first episode the serial would get its run and exposure that increased its profit margins! In the comic books Superman did meet Hercules, Samson and even Atlas though some of these guys he may have met first as Superboy!
Time travel is a complicated subject which makes it perfect for written stories, movies, and TV shows. If time travel actually existed I think it would be impossible to meet an earlier version of yourself. We are not leaving copies of ourselves in the past. For example, there is no copy of me left behind in yesterday. If I went back to yesterday, I would simply be re-living the same day again. The experience would be like what we see in time loop stories such as Groundhog Day. Lastly, time travel will never be possible because there is no place to go back to. The concept of time itself is a man made device that we use to organize our lives. The sun rises and sets but technically it is the same day it was yesterday. Months, years, and days are all man made devices that do not govern other lifeforms on earth. As far as an old tree is concerned nothing has changed about the earth since the day it was planted. The old tree simply exists until it dies. The only form of time travel that exists are recordings of past events. If an event is not captured on film, or in a photograph it cannot be revisited. If AI technology improves we may be able to create something like Star Trek's holodeck deck. A device that allows the user to program any reality he or she wants, populated with things that can be physically interacted with.
Grandfather paradox is what if u went back in time and killed your grandfather? Would you cease to exist? If so then how did your future self build your time machine??
@tvcrazyman I recall in the comics Superman frequently broke the time barrier but the rule was no matter what he did he could never change anything significant
I would love to see you do more proper fake cross overs with dialogue and all and maybe using AI to fill in the gaps. Would be a lot of work but it would be cool.
Yeah, using a combination of things seems to work. AI works great sometimes and sometimes it won't do anything you want it to do. Definitely, a learning curve with it.
Some of the best editing you have ever done MrTVcrazyman..."It is balloon" is one of my favorite lines from F Troop... well-done TVC!!!!!!
Thanks, glad you liked it😀

I think Superman and the Lone Ranger would have gotten along famously.
Time travel always is a complicated issue. Just enjoy the fun.🙂. Loved the extra information about the actors.

@tvcrazyman Plus it gives us a peak to what the future could be like. I'm still waiting on the flying cars.😂
@@stanzelko5243 Me too. I think were supposed to have flying cars by now according to Back to the Future.😀
More great stuff, Crazy man, keep it up! I love it. 😊 Brian
Thanks 😀

Your BEST video ever!!
Thanks, I appreciate it.
This gives you idea just how great the 1950s was even if it was made when it was done of what it can do
11-11-24 This made my morning, thank you 📺 crazy man.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!😀
Great job you are a master on this topic i love my original superman do more on superman, god bless your the best

In the DC universe a person traveling back time can't change it. No matter how much or how hard he tries.

Very cool! and a great contribution to an old man's memories!
Thanks
This was brilliantly done would've been great if they had done this as a series 😀
Thanks. It was a fun project to work on.
I really have to give you props on your editing skills
Thanks
More Superman stories like this.

There was also a Pilot for a Kid's Show called Super-Pup.
It was filmed on the Sets of The Adventures of Superman.
Interesting Fact-Billy Curtis, Who appeared as one of the Subterraneans in the Two Part Episode-The Unknown People, Played Super Pup.
@okasathemasterninja5528 He also played Mr. Zero on Adventures Of Superman.
He was also in Circus Boy. 😊
A stack of mint condition Action Comics issue no. 1 is worth living in an ape-dominated post apocalyptic dystopia. It's a no brainer, really.
Lol, but I wonder could you sell any of them to the apes if you wanted a few extra bucks?

Thanks. Clark explained it, but I forgot what exactly he told Lois.
@@tvcrazymanIt was something to the effect that since Superman had access to the Carboroum X, he could cross the time barrier any time he wanted.
The Adventures of Superman was the greatest TV show of of times well the Black & White episodes anyway.
So....... Superman needed to reverse his polarity? If he encountered The Doctor, he could have helped with that......
