Many years ago I used to go backpacking with a friend and we would do around 30 miles over a long weekend, sometimes not even using a tent, just unroll our sleeping bags on the edge of a field (if the weather was good). Some of the best times were August bank Holiday weekend when the weather had come to the point of lovely warm days but overnight the temperature dropped and you would wake as dawn was breaking, and facing the east put some water on for a brew and sit looking over the fields covered in 12-15 inches of mist and watch the sun rising and burning off the mist and feeling the warmth of the sun on your face. Never to be forgotten days. Thank you for reminding me of what I have enjoyed and more that I have missed.

Got a second hand DCF tent over ten years ago. Total game changer. Have taken it everywhere. Last year the DCF started to delaminate and tear at the high-tension corner stake-outs where the reinforcement patches joined the thin DCF fly. I immediately ordered a replacement form the same manufacturer to be shipped to a friend in the US traveling over to see me in Europe. That is as much a product endorsement as I could give. This spring, I've also repaired the old DCF tent using spinnaker repair tape (waterproof ripstop silnylon with strong adhesive on one side) for light use - single night lowland use.
Nice trip, Claire. Nice new tent for warmer weather. You're correct, stake the sides down closer to the ground, it will cut out a lot of the breeze. God bless and keep enjoying life.
Well, that was a very pleasant campout! I am happy that you were so pleased with the tent and consequently, pleased with your rest. Thanks Claire would be a great tent in a green or brown 👍
OMG Hi floppy joint friend! I've just found your channel and you're inspiring me to get back out there and explore.
I really enjoyed meeting you and watching you camp out… You are so interesting and cool.Wishing you the very best from Canada
Another fascinating video Claire - long may they continue!
Feeling better today 😊 few seconds of intro grabbed my attention
Your accent is great. Makes me smile. Great videos ever time!
Interesting tent material, it looks and sound like it should rip at any moment but it seemed fine in the wind. SO light too...
Beautiful night sky photography.. i really must give it a go (thanks for camera settings to try)
I do love a content tent :)
Nice tent! Love all your videos!
I could sit iyt all night and watch the stars ....the best things in ilfe are free...god bless you ❤
I absolutely love watching your videos. I wish I could camp like you do. Enjoying watching your adventures and please never stop haha
I have to say, that I would prefer the double layer aspect of your Hilly (or my North Face) tent; I am fully aware that you are the backpacker and I am the car camper. It is still on my Bucket List to do some backpacking--I'm not dead yet! Hahahahaha!
Thank you again for all of your great vidies! The bring such great peace to my life! God bless you, Claire! 🥰❤
I love how you pop in and out of your awesome videos,if only it was that easy going to or from camping lol 🤘🏻😃🤘🏻
Hi Claire ,, great little Vid again ,, Keep Safe !
Came home from work in a foul mood . Just watched this video a feel so much calmer thank you for what you do
Ahh glad to help, hope today is a better one :) thanks for watching my lil vid
Nice tent, looks like the one that Liam Outdoors uses. If they made an olive green one I'd be tempted.
I stumbled on your channel, and not by click bait which I'm glad. Your testing gear with honest opinions and providing valuable info.
Thank you 🙏
The wind would be like home, the mountains and the stars were beautiful.. I always feel like I can do anything when I watch you! 😊
WildBeare your videos are my favorites. Your editing is superb. Vids are so inviting, warm & cozy. I watch them then I'm off to dreamland. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Stay beautiful WildBeare.
It was so nice to see you out and about without getting drenched in rain and blown away from wind. BTW love the tent. Hello from Florida USA 🌴
Thanks for that look to Orion. Seeing that one always gets me my bearings and brings familiarity into my solitude.
I really love your treks -
Thank you I love to see Orion too :)
@WildBeare
Nightly (and as if facing one another,) his arc is: lying on his right side, head pointed East, then upright, and then lying on his left side, head pointed West. So, aside from being cool and anthropomorphic, he's a reliable direction finder. The Orion Nebula is midway down his stary belt.
Hello to the Beautiful and Quite Brave Lady. I have watch many of your camping videos and as an American who camped often in my youth, I am now 83 years, I still heard sounds and felt that something or someone was near my tent these 60 + years on. I hope that you will always be safe from the evil things that linger in the nightness. Be careful and take care. J. Hugh Craft
I loved watching this, I havent camped for years and now I am really in the mood to go try again this year and wow those photos you took were beautiful 🙂
Love your vids Claire, true love of the wild and your such a calm and lovely person x
Looks like a pretty decent tent. The bath tub is a must to keep all the critters off of you thru the night. Another successful outing with Princess Camps-Out-Alot....👍 .....Good Job...God Bless...stay safe🫶
Another outstanding Video. Claire you are amazing at what you do so natural and educational. you explain the good and the bad and are very polite. also thanking nature for sharing those little moments. Personally i think your channel is one of the best for anyone interested in learning about going camping for the first time and what to expect. you also include lots of tips that are invaluable to everyone. thank you so much for what you do 🙏♥ XX
Good first pitch! The perfect pitch on these tents starts with a flat spot and a perfect rectangle.
So jealous, Wish I could travel and do these types of camps. They look awesome and you film them so well, Thank you.
Another great video. Thank you so much. Your cinematography just gets better and better. That's a great little tent but it must let heaps of light in in that colour
What a wonderful adventure!
I am happy the tent worked well.
Thank you for the tips to have a nylon floor and possibly 2 layers for a floor.
Great tent!! 2 vestibules, great for gear protection. Love the mesh, no slimy slugs to get on you. Have a great week…..til next time ⛺️
Your inspiring ❤ and a dream I wish was real ....

Hello! I recently, today actually, subscribed and wanted to say, you are as intelligent as you are adorable. I felt very comfortable watching your content, no distractions or creepy moments. You seem to be quite genuine and have a refreshing vibe. Thank you for posting and I will now catch up on your previous videos so that I will be in "the loop"...😊
Nice tent , great video , thank you Claire . PS Great goat . lol
Thank you, as always, for brightening my (already!) bright days.
I work out to enable me to hike again, and experience the wild, lovely world! ( I'm good for about 25 miles a week, but in short bits....) ancient sports injuries stop by every day to say Hi!....
A joy, dear wonderful personage!
Be careful, be well, have a blast.
Us geezers developed a plan that works really well.
This may be the last time you walk up that hill.
This may be the last pear that you will ever enjoy....
You all get the point!
So, tomorrow: go walk. If it's raining? Umbrella. Chilly?
Sweater. Flooding: boots. Hungry: pear. Pear juice on your chin?
Bonus life. Have an apple.....
