But if you are looking for a more steady rose, then I would recommend maybe replacing small bore with a more heavy stability barrel like chambered compensator and polygonal rifling. But if you still wanna go with anal bore and you end up likening it more then more power to you!

As a handcannon ethusiast. This was a well done video. Only thing I can mention is Moving target doesn't have any penalties to ads. I've been saying explosive payload is such a great perk. Man does it feel needed in today's meta, where everyone's just has tracking abilities and weapons. Explosive payload pushes the range past range finder which I still find people saying it doesn't, when it actually has been proven to.
Oh ya, especially if you see someone absolute but their 45+ meters away from you, often times that 35 damage you do at ANY distance will give you the cleanup whereas w rangefinder at that point im still only doing like 5 damage lol
I loved this guide! It makes me excited to get back on Warlock as I use HCs exclusively on the class (for muscle memory reasons), and I’ve gotten my absolute two favorite rolls at the moment!: The “Max Range Peak” roll of FullBore or HammerForged + Accurized and SmoothGrip+RangeMW with slideshot+snapshot. I’d swap Snapshot with Explosive though, and if I needed stability I’d swap to fullbore, but that’s where my second roll comes in. My second roll is the one I wish I could combine into my first, with FullBore+Accurized, CombatGrip+ReloadMW, and the pairing of RapidHit+Explosive! I wish double column perks could drop on Rose, and that I was lucky enough to get a 9/9 with those two rolls combined, but it not like 180s are getting a tuneup in s23 anyways-
Perpetual motion//opening shot is SUUUUPPPEEERRRR underrated. I have used essentially every roll you can get on the rose. I found that I LOVE slideshot ONLY if I’m using transversives/stompees/dunes. Every other exotic, perpetual felt the best. And opening shot will be my pick for when rangefinder gets nerfed. Explosive payload REALLY messes me up for some reason. Sometimes it feels great, sometimes it feels ass. Maybe its a psychological thing. Maybe seeing that 70 crit hit feels more powerful than the 47 crit and 23 body.
And elemental is only worth it if your running void for the +20 stability. BUT, perpetual gives you +20 stability AND handling AND reload speed on ANY class. So elemental is more or less useless.
This might make people jealous, but I actually have a perfect 5/5 Rose with that exact perk combo ((hammerforged/accurized/range mw/smooth grip)) w perpetual/opening, I also have a 4/5 w slide/explosive I literally have 1000 more crucible opponents defeated on my slide/explosive roll cause that perk combo is illegal its just GUNS people down, opening shot messes me up because of 2 main reasons, 1st reason is when I'm in a duel the first shot feels free and the follow up shots feel like they whiff, whereas if my aim assist stat is the same for every bullet and I get used to it, my shots are way more consistent. Reason 2, this is an annoying one, finding my target, INTENTIONALLY aiming at them, but some TITAN shoulder charges within my field of view and drags my reticle away from my intended target and the person I was originally trying to duel ends up gunning me down w a pulse or whatever and I've done no damage to them, all because of opening shot.... I'm not saying its a bad perk, but its definitely not for me, when they fix range next season I might be handcuffed to that roll just because of 73 range

It’s definitely noticeable if your using a Cronus as the anti recoil scripts add more deviation to the left and right shots the longer your holding the trigger down. So if your using a Cronus, you definitely need 100 recoil control

I have to speak for perpetual motion, it s not ideal if you play like he said in the video buuuut if you play more offensive so I can say its insane. For example mostly I m flanking the team shot all my bullets get them low so my team can clear ez, when they chase you dont worry about cause of the perk you can ez reload, turn, kill boom there is it they wasted time and you got a kill. Its wonderfull if you dont play shy❤❤
Dude my rose im using now is explosive payload, elemental cap, Accurized rounds, Smallbore, with combat grip, range masterwork, its fully enhanced and i threw ballistics Mod on it and the stats on this beast are insane i have Range:78, Stability:75, Handling:85, Reload:77, Airborne effectiveness:25, with 100 recoil direction lol its such a beast of a handcannon and not to mention all the mods i throw on and plus im running Lucky Pants with it and i also am running the newly updated shayura's wrath with tap the trigger, dynamic sway with nadir focus also fully enhanced thats a whole other beast in itsself lol oh yeah the other rose roll i want is opening shot, elemental cap with all the bells and whistles lol
@@Joltz3p yeah o play on both MnK (at home) and controller (at my wife’s place). For MnK o think yours is perfect. For controller I think smallbore or corkscrew and stab Mw would be better since hitting 65 stab on controller does so much more than it does on MnK (honestly fine with full bore tbh)

"oh but that would defeat the purpose of crafting a weapon" not at all, enhanced perks and enhanced intrinsics are NOT equatable to simply being allowed the ability to decide how your gun feels ((like choosing your barrel/mag/mw)) but still have the perk combo be random, crafted weapons still have enhanced perks and enhanced intrinsics so it wouldn't make crafted weapons any less special

Thanks man, with the nerfs explosive payload took recently eye of the storm & opening shot both became my top chooses in the fourth column for rose. Good role I would maybe try going for a roll with a little more range, but you should be fine either way.
Good video. At 4:31 you mention moving target had one down side of the strafe speed penalty, but the rest of the video say it's a good thing. I think you saw the word penalty and accidentally said it was bad.

I'm doing to do exactly exactly the opposite of what you just said and rock my steady rounds, elemental capacitor, explosive payload roll that has 66 AE! 😏 (It actually does quite well, and the range isn't too bad with the explosive payload too. Though when I play 3v3 I use a more competitively rolled rose but in 6v6 it's fun as hell. And with thread of ascent you can get a pretty snazzy 100 ae lol)
I have the perfect roll, but it has corkscrew and not smallbore, which is arguably better, +5 range instead of +7, but you get handling and stability, which is pretty nice imo
You also get less stab from corkscrew though and rose wants more stab and range since it already has high handling at base but one of the worst in range and stab as a 140
@@lordkira9791 I mean 2 less stability but 5 more handling. I'll take it as an A tier barrel. I would take corkscrew or hammer forged. It also has fullbore on it and using it at 35 stability honestly feels fine. With where hand cannon ttk is you cant really duel anymore, at least not in trials or comp. It's all chip damage and cleanups. It will lose to autumn wind, no time, and immortal. I am on mnk tho. So maybe thats why I don't mind the stability
For controller I’d choose smallbore, accurized, slideshot, rf or ep, smooth grip and stab MW. That would result in 60 range, 67 stab (hitting 65 stab is a big deal on roller), and 65 handling. Hammer forged is nice and all but giving no stab on roller is terrible esp for a gun that has base 45 stab which is one of the absolute worst for legendary 140s
My only issue here is the fact the stability is so low with the options you picked. For hand cannons stability should always be 68-72. And yes even on mouse and keyboard. My rose runs 68 stability only thing I'm missing on mine is accurized rounds, which sucks.
In my opinion range and recoil direction are more important then stability on most hand cannons especially on kbm. However if you tend to like stability more and it allows you to hit more shots go for it. My videos are really just a recommendation or a starting point for you to eventually figure out the role that is perfect for you.
A recoil of 95 and a recoil of 100 arent all that different, so a better grip to boost handling or stability is much better Steady rounds shouldnt be discounted so easily Perpetual motion DEFINITELY shouldnt be discounted at all, considering you are never standing still in a gunfight, because if you are you are loosing Opening shot should hardly be considered over eots, a buff on a single shot at the beginning isnt really helpful if you arent landing the follow up shots and the range boost means nothing if you're out of your range anyways, so eots would be a lot more helpful since it buffs your shots as the gunfight goes on All in all, i think this video would be very misleading to a less experienced player given that you are discounting some of the best perks that are still very viable options, like ele cap, which allows you to spec full into range without loosing out on the stability if you play void
Tbh i have some gripes with this video most of what he says is right but ill just let you all know what tge most optimal rose is right now and what the most optimal rose will be once range finder gets nerfed so the prefect rose is small bore accurised rounds slideshot rangefinder with range masterwork and the rose that will be bettee once range finder gets nerfed will be the exact same just replace range finder wirh explosive payload
Lack of S tier perk in the 3rd column and low stats will make me never use this over Austringer with the exception of a perpetual and explosive roll. Lightweight frame buff is nice and synergizes too well with perpetual, and explosive is just too good of a perk. Makes for a perfect highly mobile dueling handcannon. But until the rangefinder nerf, its competition is still too stiff. After that however, it may be a consideration even over fatebringer.
In my personal experience slideshow is an s tier perk in the third Column. And I personally enjoy rose more then austringer. But if you end up trying perpetual motion and slide shot, and end up liking perpetual motion more then I would say go with perpetual motion. And I personally like rose over austringer but if you perform better with austringer there is no reason to force yourself to use rose

I have a slideshot opening shot rose and it does feel pretty nice, but I fail to see just why slideshot is so sought after. Maybe on slow reload handcanons like steady hand or specials, but not on a 140. And the stat bump for the first shot seems way inferior to stat bumps always just from being mobile.
Yeah I misunderstood the info that I was looking at and I was pretty sure it was incorrect but multiple sources said the same thing so I put it in the vid.
I love the editing but I feel like you should fact check before posting guides because some of the info is just flat out wrong. Also I feel like some choices are very dependent on your skill and better players would recommend a drastically different experience than the one you did so I think it could benefit if you left it more open ended and nuanced with what is a “top tier roll”
Not next season. They said they are looking in to it but never gave a time line. Also a dev came out and said in an interview that rangefinder will be changed to compensate for the zoom changes (so it’s not going to be just extra zoom with no range buff). Expect something like 10 range and 10 AA
@@lordkira9791 I think the range bonus is the one which will be gone and not the zoom bonus, since they said that they want to decouple zoom with range. Rangefinder comes with a zoom bonus when ADS.
Your "quote on quote" elite pvp player is a 1.6 not really someone I want to be learning from personally lol. If it means anything I personally think the best roll is full bore/ hammer forged depending on if you mind the nerf to handling. Accurized, slideshot, and explosive payload with a handling masterwork personally but I can understand someone wanting a range mw. Although range mw only increases damage fall off by about .7 meters which is why I personally went with a handling mw. oh and for grip personally I find stability to be a throwaway stat so I went with polymer grip for handling bonus.
I would give it a second chance and see what you think as the +10 aim assist actually feels really nice, and That combined with the fact that it makes it easier to peek shots because of the increased ads strafe speed is the reason I put it so high. But if you try it and end up not liking it that’s complexity ok just go with something else not every perk is good for everyone.
bro the second you said stability is more important than handling you lost me. In PvP there are 2 stats that far outshine any other and are way more important than any other. That being range and handling. Stability on Hand cannons especially is a throw away stat. As it doesn't need to stay on target like an smg or auto rifle.

According to d2 foundry it does, it could be wrong but that’s where the info came from
@@Joltz3p moving target decreases the movements speed penalty when aiming by 2.5% that’s a good thing essentially meaning you move faster while aiming

Played every week on every character and i still haven't gotten rangefinder on a SINGLE rose

I'm doing to do exactly exactly the opposite of what you just said and rock my steady rounds, elemental capacitor, explosive payload roll that has 66 AE! 😏
(It actually does quite well, and the range isn't too bad with the explosive payload too. Though when I play 3v3 I use a more competitively rolled rose but in 6v6 it's fun as hell. And with thread of ascent you can get a pretty snazzy 100 ae lol)

4:30 it doesn't increase ADS speed. Just like the description says, it REDUCES ADS movement speed PENALTY aka you can move faster while aiming

I have the perfect roll, but it has corkscrew and not smallbore, which is arguably better, +5 range instead of +7, but you get handling and stability, which is pretty nice imo
You also get less stab from corkscrew though and rose wants more stab and range since it already has high handling at base but one of the worst in range and stab as a 140
@@lordkira9791 I mean 2 less stability but 5 more handling. I'll take it as an A tier barrel. I would take corkscrew or hammer forged. It also has fullbore on it and using it at 35 stability honestly feels fine. With where hand cannon ttk is you cant really duel anymore, at least not in trials or comp. It's all chip damage and cleanups. It will lose to autumn wind, no time, and immortal. I am on mnk tho. So maybe thats why I don't mind the stability
For controller I’d choose smallbore, accurized, slideshot, rf or ep, smooth grip and stab MW. That would result in 60 range, 67 stab (hitting 65 stab is a big deal on roller), and 65 handling. Hammer forged is nice and all but giving no stab on roller is terrible esp for a gun that has base 45 stab which is one of the absolute worst for legendary 140s

My only issue here is the fact the stability is so low with the options you picked. For hand cannons stability should always be 68-72. And yes even on mouse and keyboard. My rose runs 68 stability only thing I'm missing on mine is accurized rounds, which sucks.
In my opinion range and recoil direction are more important then stability on most hand cannons especially on kbm. However if you tend to like stability more and it allows you to hit more shots go for it. My videos are really just a recommendation or a starting point for you to eventually figure out the role that is perfect for you.

A recoil of 95 and a recoil of 100 arent all that different, so a better grip to boost handling or stability is much better
Steady rounds shouldnt be discounted so easily
Perpetual motion DEFINITELY shouldnt be discounted at all, considering you are never standing still in a gunfight, because if you are you are loosing
Opening shot should hardly be considered over eots, a buff on a single shot at the beginning isnt really helpful if you arent landing the follow up shots and the range boost means nothing if you're out of your range anyways, so eots would be a lot more helpful since it buffs your shots as the gunfight goes on
All in all, i think this video would be very misleading to a less experienced player given that you are discounting some of the best perks that are still very viable options, like ele cap, which allows you to spec full into range without loosing out on the stability if you play void

Tbh i have some gripes with this video most of what he says is right but ill just let you all know what tge most optimal rose is right now and what the most optimal rose will be once range finder gets nerfed so the prefect rose is small bore accurised rounds slideshot rangefinder with range masterwork and the rose that will be bettee once range finder gets nerfed will be the exact same just replace range finder wirh explosive payload

Mistake at 4:30 don’t really know what you were trying to say here, but Moving Target has no such penalty.
According to d2 foundry it does, it could be wrong but it’s typically a very reliable source

Extended Barrel gets you to 100 Recoil and adds 10 Range.

yes there is a rose w/o a range masterwork. mine, mine is the one w/o the range masterwork 😭its a god roll except for the masterwork 😭😭😭
Lack of S tier perk in the 3rd column and low stats will make me never use this over Austringer with the exception of a perpetual and explosive roll. Lightweight frame buff is nice and synergizes too well with perpetual, and explosive is just too good of a perk. Makes for a perfect highly mobile dueling handcannon. But until the rangefinder nerf, its competition is still too stiff. After that however, it may be a consideration even over fatebringer.
In my personal experience slideshow is an s tier perk in the third Column. And I personally enjoy rose more then austringer. But if you end up trying perpetual motion and slide shot, and end up liking perpetual motion more then I would say go with perpetual motion. And I personally like rose over austringer but if you perform better with austringer there is no reason to force yourself to use rose
@@Joltz3p i love the rose model but it doesn't feel as good as austringers imo. I have a slideshot opening shot rose and it does feel pretty nice, but I fail to see just why slideshot is so sought after. Maybe on slow reload handcanons like steady hand or specials, but not on a 140. And the stat bump for the first shot seems way inferior to stat bumps always just from being mobile.

I love the editing but I feel like you should fact check before posting guides because some of the info is just flat out wrong. Also I feel like some choices are very dependent on your skill and better players would recommend a drastically different experience than the one you did so I think it could benefit if you left it more open ended and nuanced with what is a “top tier roll”

Not next season. They said they are looking in to it but never gave a time line. Also a dev came out and said in an interview that rangefinder will be changed to compensate for the zoom changes (so it’s not going to be just extra zoom with no range buff). Expect something like 10 range and 10 AA

@@lordkira9791 I think the range bonus is the one which will be gone and not the zoom bonus, since they said that they want to decouple zoom with range. Rangefinder comes with a zoom bonus when ADS.

Your "quote on quote" elite pvp player is a 1.6 not really someone I want to be learning from personally lol. If it means anything I personally think the best roll is full bore/ hammer forged depending on if you mind the nerf to handling. Accurized, slideshot, and explosive payload with a handling masterwork personally but I can understand someone wanting a range mw. Although range mw only increases damage fall off by about .7 meters which is why I personally went with a handling mw. oh and for grip personally I find stability to be a throwaway stat so I went with polymer grip for handling bonus.

I would give it a second chance and see what you think as the +10 aim assist actually feels really nice, and That combined with the fact that it makes it easier to peek shots because of the increased ads strafe speed is the reason I put it so high. But if you try it and end up not liking it that’s complexity ok just go with something else not every perk is good for everyone.
bro the second you said stability is more important than handling you lost me. In PvP there are 2 stats that far outshine any other and are way more important than any other. That being range and handling. Stability on Hand cannons especially is a throw away stat. As it doesn't need to stay on target like an smg or auto rifle.
