- ShaDynasty is one of our favorite American drift teams around - a squad of old-school JDM cars built to drift. So of course we're hyped to see Matt Panic shred his BEAMS-powered beauty of a '73 Toyota Celica at our Portland Secret Shredhouse.

Is Hert's mid-action wrap the best wrap ever?
I endorse this statement
HHIC vs Hert in the next episode?
Thank you for the music choice, that intro got me interested as hell after it gave me a back massage with the sub
for sure
Saucy indeed
First rule of the secret shred house
Never talk about the secret shred house
Second rule of secret shred house
FUCKING SHRED IT
always talk about secret shred house
Fight club 2 confirmed
I live right by it and heard all of this go down
Lmao
Nobody in my area understands why I'm into Celicas. Now I can show them this damn video for why
Hopefully this converts them.
There awesome have 7 in my shed
Rabbi Schlomo not for sale
Yes!!!!!
Finally a rare sweet Japanese classic!! Thanks guys!
I have the more underrated 7th gen but i think its a really nice cars, in Europe/Portugal they are nice cars, in the US and UK they are just called shitboxes unfortunatly
I literally started sweating from anxiety hoping he wasn't going to turn one of the Hoonigans into a bowling pin.
No need to Panic.
@@TheHoonigans
Ha! I see what you did there....
I swear he really went for running ine of them over hahaha
It was like watching a pissed off, BAD ASS, Celica hunting down a bunch of camera men in a abandoned mill.... Like that little car was out for blood..lol
Greg Stanley sounds like it could be the plot to a sci-fi horror movie “Carnado” lol
Christine 2?
Devil's z cousin
@@antwanstevenson955 I chuckled at your comment.
This Celica is a monster wrapped in a mouse body. Holy crap. What a Breakdown, what a shred sesh, and Hert, that wrap was perfect.
That Celica is an Mustang's nightmare and its One of biggest Dream of an true car enthusiasts 👌🔰
Matt is one humble cool guy. Very helpful and open to answer any question based on your build or a relative build.
Classic Celica's are just mini muscle cars
Basically.
Yas! JDM Mini muscle cars
Just minus the muscle part
Yes EVERY car looked the same back then
check out the celica fastback it looks similar to a mach 1
This whole thing hit hard as hell in my truck. This is the first time I've watched an episode in my truck. Definitely recommend listening to it in your car if you have a sub. On top of the top notch content the bass makes a big difference with the music
dude got knee dents on his front fenders... he's killed before.
These have grown more beautiful with age stunning celica 👍🏻👍🏻💯🚗
MORE SHADYNASTY. MORE OLD TOYOTAS
Now look every keyboard warrior. 200 HP, Drift Machine. You do not need 500+ HP on every build.
That's such an american thing to think you need that much power.
In Europe people drift with less than 200hp all day. We also tow with 2 liters engine and never have problems lol
But still, power and big displacements are cool.
You don't "need" 500hp you CRAVE it
So true, that’s why I like old school 80a drift scene
So true, that’s why I like old school 80s drift scene
Saw that, kinda what prompted me to post this because i watched that this morning before this was posted.
Damn! This came up in my youtube recommends, glad it did. In the late 70's I had a 73 coupe. What a great car. 25/60 cam, 2 SU carbs, extractors & twin exhausts. Car was lowered & drove exceptionally well at 80 mph. It was my fave car & nothing killed it.
The beauty shot are so underrated
Absolutely beautiful car, but unfiltered ITBs in dirty conditions hurts my soul a little bit.
yeah, why not just pour dirt down its gullet...
Thought exactly the same. I mean it sounds great but it would last way longer with some kind of filter. Even some small foam filters should be enough and it would still sound bad ass
I don't think that dude cares. That Celica is rough...
Jap Pinto needs some filters
Meh, just tear top end off and recondition with every oil change.... Lel
These guys always shred Parc! Makes me wish I never sold my 77’ Liftback Celica
ShaDynasty destroys PARC! The whole team is amazing.
@@TheHoonigans Scotto needs a liftback
makes me wish i bought yours... exact model i want
Chad Wyman that’s what I own now. I could never get rid of it
I like the honesty of this video. He almost bumps the guy and they show it. No cutting out reality.
I am so impressed on how much content you guys can make. And i mean its not just fillers all of it is just quality stuff. INSANE!
Man oh man best sounding celica ever..when the driver is quiet the car is loud..
I second that comment below , a brew with bad daddy would be up to par with herts episode I'm more than sure ! Or how about "A blunt with brad "? More suiting lol
4A-GE's and the crack Beams verion of the GE's are just so iconic i dont think theres any other better sound than that
By far, the most beautiful Celica I have ever seen!
11am in Texas. Told my boss I'm taking my break to watch this.
At least you aren't trying to hide us from your boss.
im also in texas, watching this on my lunch break lmao
Legendary. I didn’t go to class so I could watch this.
Please do a brew with Brad
bet he out drinks Hert.. LoL
Rather smoke with him
A blaze with Bad Daddy Braddy
That is something we need to see..
One of the illest that's a wrap EVER. Slow clap for hurt and the driver with that one.
Great suspension setup. Loose dirt and pavement gradient changes. Great video!
Oh how i love that screaming ITBS ln 4 banger.
Yamaha designed cyl head + itbs
=eargasm it has a distinct sound.
Matt Panic for President.
Panic/Panic 2020?
Panic/Panic 2020
"No need to panic, the Panics are here. Vote for us and we'll drift our country to the top."
Hace tiempo que un video no me transmitía tanta fuerza como este! JDM!!!
In post muscle car fuel crisis USA in the late 70s this was our pony car (not mine, l had 4-speed R code Mustang). It's nice to see first that these guys found one not rusted to all hell and though it's shape brings back fond memories l don't recall seeing any of them back in the day doing what this one does. Good job guys!!!
my dad has a '75 celica ta22 with a 7agze and an Altezza with the 3sge beams engine. hell yeah its good to see a celica on the channel. malaysia gangggg
Well i have a t-sport celica 7th gen, for sure the best handling one
R A F A the gt4? My dad's celuca is still in restoration
@@isaactezza i have the last gen celica
R A F A the turbo one?
no man, 2ZZ-GE 190hp fwd coupe, really good handling
Celica 73 for sale Europe
Wait this isn't google
Simplify: Celica TA22 for sale your country (nobody calls them by the year anymore, it`s vin number)
glhf with the build though, car is probably 4-5k, engine 1.5k, transmission 1k, driveshaft 500, wire harness+ecu another grand (electric throttle sucks) and so forth, thats before we get into rust welding, repaint, rear axle and so forth.
@Spiritpoweredinternet hella people
That car is beautiful. I'm loving the sound of that engine. You can hear those carbs workin. I love those years of celicas. Always wanted one.
my dad had a 72 Celica GT in the late 80’s early 90’s. seeing this thing takes me back.
This is why I like celicas
Dude this is some forza horizon type shit right here
LMAO, BUT FORZA HORIZON DOESNT HAVE TOYOTAS
fh3 does
He was a no talk all action kinda guy, and I can respect that
Might be my favorite car on Hoonigan so far. Love how it's 'only' 200 HP and still lots of fun
You can tell the designers modelled the Celica after the Mustang because it clearly hungers for pedestrians.
This is the sort of madness us Kiwis grow up messin with. 4AGE swaps in all sorts, Starlets, Coronas, DX Corollas,
I have been loving the Portland content. The cars have all be really unique and the location is kickass. Great job fellas.
Like top 10 coolest cars ever list, very damn sexy car
I was looking to buy the same gen Celica and then I had second thoughts so now you can't tell me this is not a sign from God! 🤣🤣
Just wow !
Man. There is just something magical about the sound of a built four-banger.
Thumbs up for #spinmove!
Im not a celica person but this one here is f*&^ing beautiful and I love the ITBs sounds lovely 🔥🤘 ps. I got nervous when Hert picked up the Tablet/Cluster thought he was going to drop it and break it lol you know #SirBreaksALot
Neighbor has one of these that he's owned since new. Garage kept and immaculate. Service records for everything including headlight bulbs... I've been trying to get it for years. Won't sell it. Also been trying to get his crx. He hasn't driven either in a year or two and it's making me sad. Don't want to see them start to deteriorate 😔
Ask if you can help him maintain them.... drive them around, help fix things. The karma will come back in the future
Keep them not rusty and running.
@@gremotorsports I have, I've offered regular maintenance and taking them around the neighborhood to get the cobwebs out but he doesn't let anyone touch them. He's kind of a grumpy old guy. I've had him shut the garage door on me when he saw me start walking over from my house lol. He's nice to me 90% of the time but the other 10% he's kind of an ass. No family at all. Just him. I've told him that I'd pay a very fair amount and let him know that what he has is worth something. He's promised me that I'll have the first shot to buy when he decides to sell. I'm in CA and the Celica is garaged so no rust to worry about. The crx is under and carport somewhat protected. No idea what happens if he up and dies though. Known him for years and years. Maybe I'll be in the will lol.
Man you cant beat 4 bangers with itbs especially 4age and beams engines, up there with old school ferraris doing blip downshifts for me, just love the raw metallic sounds
Beautiful... Just beautiful....
Miiiiiiint
Well damn, Toyota is out here winning like always.
Im happy he went beams instead of honda k series
Dude, That has to be the best sounding 4 banger I've had heard in a long time. The car is sick btw!
So gooood ! Thank you guys for bringing Matt and his beautiful celica !
A drifter on Hoonigan that has no LS, RB or 2J?
3sgte beam 2.0 black top
Sorry guy it's a 3S-GE. no turbo here@@jonnyadri1724

The real secret shred house is whatever room Hert is editing in...
A magnificent achievement of arts and engineering, beyond any doubt.
That Celica is so up my alley I love the Jdm and European classics. That thing shreds hard with only 200hp!
Secret Shredhouse busted, I live 15 minutes away from there. That's an old Paper Mill along Highway 99-E, I drive past it every day.
Matt's my power bottom
Pan_Gotti boi
My mom had one those back in the early 80’s. wish we still had it! I actually searched for one recently and finding a decent one is not easy. Most are rust buckets cheap Japanese 70’s metal
I honestly don't even know what to comment on... This whole episode is just amazing. First off, no new car looks that damn good with just a lip, eBay flares and a duck tail. Plus those itb's... my god.. i love Toyota's
Ive been a car person my whole life the complete 14 years and no one exept my grandpa and mother get why i dont run after a ball
Ive recently bought my first car (fiat 600 1972) and now as i spend whole days in the garage and the car slowly gets restored everyone seems to get the message. Im a car person and not some kid who chases a ball at slow speeds but someone who likes to spend his days in a garage to make a random car a better car
If you would like you could look at my channel for the progress so far
Thanks for reading and understanding my struggles in life: people who arent into cars (or drive a prius)
Follow your dream bro, do it for all of us who don't have the space, tools, or money to.
👍
I can personally relate with you. Pretty much all of my male relatives on my mom's side are into cars (my grandfather having owned a shop himself, and my uncle currently runs said shop) but I live on the other side of the world so I don't get too much opportunity to gain experience in working on cars. But I do mess around with my 04 WRX (buying up parts from later imprezas and slight mods) and have plenty of fun
Nazbol Caliph Donald ad-deen Trump nice
Rwd celicas > other celicas
Celicas> ALL OTHER OVER RATED CARS
Old Toyota's>ever other car
I guess my car is old, its from 2002 lol
just say celicas. we dont talk about the FWD ones
@@Woodie-xq1ew but then we leave out the te27 corolla, mx23 mark II and more...
In my opinion these cars look great when they aren't restored to showroom quality, this tough patina gives it an indestructible character look and feel. It's totally badass!
These things are absolutely beautiful, the other day I saw a Celica GT2000 and it is the most beautiful thing to look at! 😍😍😍
Tyler never showed us his Celica on teen mom😂😂😂
I used to have one of these with a 1JZ in it . Never should have sold it
Tyler Baillie i would have sold a kidney first
One of my top 3 favorite cars, glad to see one on build breakdown.
My dad did 43 years at the mill. Publishers, Smurfit, et al. ;-)
Thanks for doing a spot there - maybe it will finally get restored and recreational instead of being a pulper, of lives and forest materials.
Where is Nads? We need our party to start in the morning now!
Can you guys come to south florida already???
Beautiful build, and some great driving!
I'm so happy this car got some coverage. What a sound!
Man why does this car looks sexy
I was here at 31 views, so that means something.
It means everything.
it'a common youtube glitch lol the video already has more than 500 likes and it still is at 31 views
Been wanting one of these for so long. Love this build.
BY FAR the best car ever featured on Hoonigan... old skylines, rx-3's, and celica/supra's were so good looking though!! more stuff like this please!!!!

GANG!!!!!
Can’t beat those acoustics.

Yup, watching on the poo pad bro!
I love that you left in the sound of the door opening and closing
What a sound 😍😍
Lmao not so secret if your from Portland
Shhhhhhhhh.
ikr, im like 5 mins from here and go to school literally just across the river that's in the intro
As soon as they said they were in OC, I knew exactly where they were. Now every time I drive by this is all I think about.
I live 5 min away, and never heard of this.. I walk there to see whats up and no way in that I can see..
I feel so left out! If we can slide there I NEED to know
That thing is AMAZING!
This car is perfect car for that 3S-GE. Very clean and amazing build. (:
I watched this video then three months later I got a 77 liftback. Car is amazing, love it
I love the secret shred house cuz its like a mini gymkhana everytime, the dirt the skids the sketch awww yis
Awesome.
I've always loved the look of these Celicas they have that pony car look, the rear end reminds me so much of the late 60s Mercury Cougar.
I love you guys.. YOU ARE LEGENED, nothing but art. and real drivers...
incredible powerhead like a Hoonigan....WOW!!!
OMG..😯 What Awesomeness..!!!
Spent months watching the Panic guys at PARC. Awesome to see them on here! I miss living in Oregon City and attending PARC
loving these tour videos!
This is one of those Celicas you wish Toyota would remake. It's a pure beauty for the eyes
Canada here, a green '78 was my car into as a kid...great body lines
GREAT!
love old school cars like these...
Perfect timing for getting home for lunch. Get to watch this on the big screen.
