I played pocket camp on and off for like 2 years before I ever spent a single dollar on it. Honestly after all those hours and genuinely enjoying my time with it, bonding with other people about it and seeing community-requested features get added in, there was no way I could justify not spending money on it. Devs should get paid if the game they're making is good. Pocket camp isn't the perfect animal crossing but it had plenty of interesting ideas, like the player-run economics of the market boxes. Almost 7 years of monthly updates for $20 dollars (after a couple months of a discounted introductory price that guarantees the most diehard fans can get a little "loyalty bonus" that makes it sting less if you've already paid up before) is a STEAL when New Leaf, with less items, still costs $60. Sounds high for the mobile market, but at least the game isn't just disappearing forever like so many others. My hopes of eventually earning enough bottle caps to buy the Ok Motors sign have not been crushed! 🎉

They said the introductory price is only in the US though, so it may be the $20 USD (or equivalent) elsewhere. Not sure about iOS updates but it sounds like it will be supported for a long while, so it likely will be several more years before it would stop working on any iOS updates.
I stopped playing pocket camp once new horizons came out but the burnout for that has been looong, I want to play pocket camp again now after watching this!!
The Leaf Tokens are quite cute. The camper cards are amazing.Glad they are including K.K slider properly this time. Can't wait for it to release in Ireland
I’m a little disappointed that players have lost their agency as friends. Like it’s cute that they’ll hang out in certain areas or be a card in your collection, but it feels way less sweet and personal than when friends send you gifts or share event creatures. But honestly I’m just really glad that I’m not losing 7 years of peaceful fun and item collecting
This definitely gives me hope for the game. $20 is steep for a mobile game, but I'm glad they're getting rid of micro transactions. My camp has become a cute, calming sanctuary where I can be surrounded by my favorite aesthetics and villagers in a way I can't in the real world yet (cute decor and clothes be expensive 😅). Being able to do it without feeling pressured to buy leaf tickets to get the stuff I want is awesome!
My phone 'aged out' of pocket camp well before this, so I'm guessing it's beyond my means, or at least my phone's. But it's still wonderful to see the wholesome way the game is being continued
I've already pre-registered on the Play Store! The main reason I stopped playing PC so much was because of the major reliance on Leaf Tickets (and all the popups that would bombard me upon opening the game, too; it really overwhelmed me at times) but I did actually open it back up again tonight after months and months of not playing, and played it until about 2am, when my phone's battery got too low... whoops. I do love the core game, but the microtransactions were a huge turn-off, even if I did partake in a couple when I had the extra cash. I feel like $20 is a bit steep for a mobile app, but I'm willing to pay the $10 launch price for it. Thankfully there'll only be a 5 day wait between the end of ACPC and the launch of ACPCC. And at least I have something to look forward to now, since scalpers destroyed any hope I had of getting to see My Chemical Romance next summer. But it's okay, Animal Crossing is always there for me.
Immediately plan on buying it as I'm now hooked on the pocket camp game thanks to you Lulu, hopefully we can be friends in the new pocket camp game (I cannot donate money due to my mum but hopefully that won't be a problem)
aww i love that nose too! i’m not sure it’s available in pocket camp as it’s in the graphic style of animal crossing new leaf which only featured triangle noses. but it makes up for it with pretty blushy cheek and freckle accessories, aswell as all the different hairstyles you can buy! ☺️💕
Thanks for explaining the new features. I've never played any AC game other than Pocket Camp, so I missed the significance. Nintendo games are always expensive. That's why I don't play very many. This one doesn't seem to be available in the Canadian ap store to pay for yet, but I've preordered.

I am quite new to pocket came last few months and I have got so far on it already. Disappointed that the camp won't expand on paid version and more places to visit won't be added bar 1 place for the price we have to pay for it however I am on pre order list but I do miss playing new horizons as I find that enjoyable and bigger camp to work on .I will miss all friends I have made in pocket camp and gift sharing it seems pretty harsh they have got rid of the social side like that 😕

No transfer until Complete actually releases. Be sure to play the current version and make sure the Nintendo Account is linked before end of service if you want to keep playing. There will still be a gap of 1 week at minimum even if you purchase the new version in early December. For now, there are still new events, even special one time thank you distributions in the final week.
aaah this game actually looks really good!! for some reason i was kinda worried that the new version wouldnt work properly unless you had a save on the og pocket camp (i used to have it in 2018-2022 but i deleted it for storage space hkjkj) so im happy that you dont need to have one! i was pretty shocked at the price when i first saw it, like its a fucking mobile game 😭😭 though i guess since theres no in-game purchases i feel like its kind of justified? anyways im so tempted to get it, probably gonna preorder it soon :3

there’s a few new events & furniture items being added until september 2025. after that the game will play through all events from over the years that were in the original pocket camp game. 😊
