The greninja mind game goes even further, not only can greninja not be shiny, but it can't be female either since the gift greninja from the demo will always be male
Speaking of the plushie mind game, that reminds me of my friend in Magic: the Gathering who ran a Blue Mana deck box and force of will card sleeves on his Goblin Charbelcher combo deck (not a blue deck at all lmfao).
I know I said it in the original video from Moxie, but as of Gen 9... a lot of the "advantage" stuff for shiny Pokemon has been taken out of the game sadly :/ I say this as, I have a shiny Mew from Gen 3 Japanese Emerald that I put Fake Out on from XD Gale of Darkness... and as of trying to transfer it to Gen 9, if it has moves it "can't learn" in Gen 9, they delete and replace them with other moves :( (it especially makes no sense with Mew considering "it should be able to learn any move") So yeah, if it doesn't learn the move normally by Gen 9 (via level up most likely since Legendary type Pokemon can't breed) it will just be replaced with a random move they've chosen for the Pokemon. It's especially weird because as long as it is in Pokemon HOME it will keep the moves (giving hope that maybe they will give them the moves back... but highly doubtful...) Another good example is that Lugia from XD Gale of Darkness got Psycho Boost, Deoxys' signature move, if you purified it. (a VERY powerful Psychic move which on a Psychic type like Lugia too... would hit like a truck as well) Even though Deoxys was introduced into Gen 9 and Psycho Boost came back, if you tried transferring Lugia into a Gen 9 game still, it would lose the move. Really dumb play IMO considering how rare a Pokemon like that would be (and could be used in stuff like VGC whenever they allow "banned" Pokemon in) and it losing the move that way... really brings down the value for trades too...
Another layer of why it's dumb is because VGC already doesn't allow for historic movesets as of gen... 6 iirc? Which is why the Bounce Gyarados was such a big deal, in singles and in game you could just transfer a bounce gyarados from gen 6 but since there was no way to teach magikarp/gyarados bounce in gen 7 except that very specific event one it was nearly unusable in VGC. So gen 9 doing that was not to balance for VGC, it was just for everyone else
As a note, in Colosseum if you capture an opponents shiny Pokemon, it will actually reroll the number of that Pokemon's value making on purification so that it most likely wouldn't be shiny, if I remember correctly at least. In XD you can only see shiny Pokemon at PokeSpots, and they behave like mainline wild Pokemon so they can be seen and caught as shiny.
Whether or not a Colosseum pokemon is shiny is calculated partially with the Original Trainer ID and Secret ID; when you snag the pokemon, its OT changes from the NPC's to yours, resulting in shininess being recalculated. While this does potentially mean a shiny losing it's shininess, it also means you have a chance of a non-shiny becoming shiny with enough luck (or soft resets). There is a chance that a caught shiny will stay shiny, but the odds are absolutely miniscule.
"Is he about to say Endeavour is good?... Nooo" Yes he is lol. Endeavour with sturdy or focus sash on a fast mon is a fantastic move. Especially in VGC if your second pokémon has quick attack or some other priority attack.
Aerial Ace Japanese name is "Turning Swallow Cut" which is a Japanese samurai slash. It really has nothing to do with flying. Lot of strange Pokémon can learn it, like Tyrantrum, Gogoat, Bearctic, and even Dugtrio. So idk why Gyarados can't
Here is the thing... if your opponent has that kind of info about shinies wouldn't they also pay close attention to what ball it's in. I mean since they see it as shiny as soon as it's on the field then they would also notice the ball as well. Especially since event Pokemon come in a cherish ball with no way to switch. So shiny Suicune in a fast ball means that it doesn't have Sheer Cold.
I thought the "-BL" in smogon tiers stood gor Ban List, meaning they are too good in that tier but aren't used enough for the tier above, but what do I know.
Dragon ascent should be given to magikarp and replaced with judgement on evolution to fit with the origin theming. Dragon ascent should also make magikarp evolve during the battle.
Looked it up and it got V-create in a Japanese only event in 2012, so if you ran a shiny it would tell your opponent there was no possibility you’re running it.
I'd love to see Pat react to some ElectricWindGirlFriend videos. They're like a quick 2-3 minute presentation on a specific pokemon or category of pokemon in competitive. I think Pat would like the videos, assuming EWGF approves of Pat reacting
Sad part is timer stalling is technically considered unsportsmanlike behaviour and has been against the rules on vgc since forever, it's just not enforced that much
Bounce Gyrados? I am pretty sure I had it with Soul Silver/ Heart Gold using the Pokewalker. I just never thought all that much on the move from being just a young thing. And at that it was not shiny.
VGC doesn't allow transfer movesets as of gen 6 ish (after the Eruption Heatran days) so to use a Bounce Gyarados in VGC it had to learn it in gen 7. There was no way to upon the release of the gen until that event Magikarp
If it's the game cartridge or the hardware inside, itself...no. You're never getting it fixed. The data is totally unreadable. If it's just the file, you can dump it into a pc if you have the knowledge and run diagnostics to recover it.
@@shaylynn926 basically anytime I put it into my 3DS it freezes briefly and doesn’t play and on power save it says unsupported game despite it being totally usable for months
By the way comments and gives me tip I express a lot of gratitude towards 😁. I’ve had this game since 2018 so it now being corrupted really is a bugging issue for me.
Hello everyone 😊 I need your help ( my omega. Ruby, game cartridge got corrupted recently I was using powersaves last week and before you know, it doesn't read on my Nintendo 3-D XI and even more annoying power save doesn't recognize. I've used it for about a year now with lots of Code being added, and it's only after I got corrupted is now saying unsupported game, even though it's working perfectly fine for months. It all started basically want to add a one Pokemon to the coding and then a couple minutes later, added another code that's when it happened. Please anyone give me a solution to fix this. Is there any place or store I can go to to get this fixed anywhere I can reset my 3DS anyway I can get my powersaves to recognize my cartridge in order to get it back up. Literally anything will help. Please help me.
Him calling bl border line is killing me, it is ban list, and I know it’s nitpicking and it makes sense for it to also be borderline but it bothers me.
You can teach bounce to gyarados via move tutor in white 2 black 2. I have it on a none shiny one as well. That part of the video is bs. No event needed. So unless you couldn’t trade up at the time then you coulda got that with having to have that event
VGC does not allow transfer movesets since gen 6 (mostly to avoid situations where event mons like Eruption Heatran from Pokemon Ranger were very meta) so that part of the video is correct. You can see similar oddities in gen 7 VGC movepools between the 1st and Ultra games because the tutors were much more limited (such as Gastrodon not getting Earth Power or Scizor not getting Bug Bite)
I really enjoy reaction vids of videos I’ve already seen, it adds so much replay value lol
I like that moxie's getting the recognition he deserves
The greninja mind game goes even further, not only can greninja not be shiny, but it can't be female either since the gift greninja from the demo will always be male
14:49 Way to throw shade at Charizard X's shiny, I liked it. Also the idea of tricking people with plushes is absolutely hysterical.
Speaking of the plushie mind game, that reminds me of my friend in Magic: the Gathering who ran a Blue Mana deck box and force of will card sleeves on his Goblin Charbelcher combo deck (not a blue deck at all lmfao).
7:19 BL actually stands for "ban list" meaning it would be NU by usage but they banned it from the tier

7:46 Also because of a change in Gen 8, some abilities gained an immunity to the ability Intimidate, Inner Focus being one of them.

Correct. Entei is not used enough to be RU but it's too good to be used in NU, hence the term ban list.
It used to mean Borderline, but now is referred to Ban List
9:20 Give him Dragon Ascent. He deserves it lol
Since ur name is mega rayquaza, I guess u can decide
Dragon ascent should be given to magikarp and replaced with judgement on evolution to fit with the origin theming. Dragon ascent should also make magikarp evolve during the battle.
Fun fact: Purugly, Mr. Mime, Togepi, Aggron, Shelgon, Lumineon, Dedenne, and Bruxish can all learn Aerial Ace, but Gyarados can't.
The “BL” on the end of tiers on Smogon stands for Ban List.
I'm pretty sure that in gens 5-8, shiny rayquaza could not learn v create. Correct me if I'm wrong
Yeah, Rayquaza only had that move as event exclusive, and only in Japan. And I'm pretty sure it was just a normal Ray.
Looked it up and it got V-create in a Japanese only event in 2012, so if you ran a shiny it would tell your opponent there was no possibility you’re running it.
incredibly cold predictions from patterz at the start of the video holy
The answer why is when you see a full Shiny team you will cry so much your time eill end
surprisingly, not every word in that is wrong
NUBL actually means NU-Banlist, not borderline. But similar concept. Its usage isnt enough to be in RU, but its too strong for NU
I'd love to see Pat react to some ElectricWindGirlFriend videos. They're like a quick 2-3 minute presentation on a specific pokemon or category of pokemon in competitive. I think Pat would like the videos, assuming EWGF approves of Pat reacting
Fuck you Shiny Incineroar is incredible. I love my candy cane kitty.
could have been better tbh!!
Worst shiny
I saw every video from that moxie playlist...
Every shiny that was deemed “terrible” I actually like lolol
4:40 And somehow Suicune is in NU in Scarlet/Violet...
I actually like Charizard X's shiny :(
I WILL NOT STAND FOR THE SHINY INCINEROAR SLANDER
It’s clean imo
@@josepagan5699 top tier IMO. My whole channel is based on it. It's basically my mascot at this point
It's ugly as sin tho.
If Krookadile can learn aerial ace so should gyarados
Hey pat do you think you could react to "the math behind the unluckiest moments in all of Pokemon " It would be amazing if you can
Ban list. UUBL means banned from UU. Thus can only be used in OU and up. Please get it right.
Love your content 😊😊😊
I love it as well ❤❤😊
Sad part is timer stalling is technically considered unsportsmanlike behaviour and has been against the rules on vgc since forever, it's just not enforced that much
What would even be considered stalling? Using leech seed? Rest? Its not enforced cause its not enforceable

Greninja gets this move
Patterrz should react to False Swipe Gaming
So if I threw out my shiny Hydreigon some players might know its moveset already?
Very late gang 👇

1 month squad
Why did that zekrom show up after all that's not a shiny
Due to legends arceus gyrados can fly
Man screw him, shiny mega Charizard X is great
Close Pat, it goes RU then NU
There is no RU in gen 4
