Checking the drain pan switch can be easy when using the control panel. In this video, Senior Technical Trainer Scott Hughes shows us how to use the control panel to check the drain pan switch. This can be useful before even getting out your multi-meter.
A reason you might need to use this feature is if the customer is seeing a message on the screen that keeps telling them to change their filter pad or to insert drain pan.

Hi Henny Penny, I've been having an issue with my McDonalds LOV LVE-204 not pumping oil from its JIB? The JIB motor does not run anymore (for auto top off) or run when cleaning oil from lines. Any suggestions?
Subsequently crew have had to top the pots off manually and the Check JIB notification will repeat on all controls.
