Rattle: I got mine in the mail today and it does rattle. However I found if you slowly slide the pen clip up you can have it put some pressure on that dial and stop the rattle. Much happier. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your comment. The top of the pen moves a bit, but not in a way that is disturbing or annoying like in the mechanical pencil. The most annoying part is the rear end of the 800 pen, which rattles as you can see in the video. I would not consider the movmenet of the tip a no go factor, as in the mechanical pencil. Although, to me, the movement of the tip is not a problem for either pen or pencil.
