The Embers Rekindled mod for Minecraft is a mod that adds ancient machines to dig up ember fuel from bedrock and process it to grant all sorts of forgotten powers and capabilities! It's very dwarfy feeling automation! This mod is very much like the original Embers mod but with a lot of updates and fixes bringing it to the latest versions of Minecraft.

Ember's charm is similar in a way to Thaumcraft, in a sense of "otherworldly steampunk-yet-also-archaic techno mage-alchemist."

I am beyond happy this mod was brought to the present version. It's like the only tech mod I feel is entirely coherent to me.

Thaumcraft is being worked on by Cofh. Astral sorcery is unlikely to happen.
Cotfh is working thaumcraft 7 and Astral Sorcery too

Any idea if the author changed the rotating heat map that was used for ember concentration in a chunk, or if they plan to in the future? I remember the 1.12 creator saying he regretted doing it that way, and it's always seemed like a frustrating mechanic. If it's not clear what I'm on about, it's the system where the Atmospheric Gauge shows the chunk has one concentration (say, pegged high), and then five minutes later it shows something else (usually pegged low). So there was never much point in searching for a chunk with high concentration, unless you were planning to stand in front of your bore, waiting for a half a stack of crystals you needed urgently or something.

Well that's awkward.. I've heard original Embers mod was gonna have an update, with some changes as well. But this one is direct port of Rekindled version.

doesn't look like they've improved the mod much. i found it underwhelming back when it first released and since then create has raised the bar.
