Today I’m 1 year clean from alcohol. This is one of the songs that helped me from rehab to now. I’m truly thankful for artists who tell these stories. Y’all helped me save my life. Real talk.
I don't think people who haven't struggled with addiction have any idea how vulnerable and hard it must have been to make this song and share that raw of an emotion with the world. This man is a real one
Still struggling with addiction but still functional. Becoming a heavier burden every day. Had it not been for my daughter I would have killed myself. Praise God for making me a father
Rittz, I’m in recovery. I’ve been sober 35 days today. I went to rehab, and I had the whole rehab bumping this song every morning for group! It’s very inspiring to people who are trying to change our lives. This song kept me in the seat I was in, in rehab. I just wanted to thank you
I just want to say thank you Rittz! I hit 18 months clean this week. Got my gray and silver key tag and 18 month medallion last night. This song has been one of my go to tracks during my recovery!

It’s not easy brother. NA can be a good resource, but quite frankly it is not for everyone, especially if you are not a religious or spiritual person. What good can come out of that regardless, however, is finding a lifeline you can depend on to pick up the phone. In the meantime, i’d be happy to help. I’ve got plenty of my own demons.

But even so, i honestly don't think i would have been clean if it wasnt for them. I don’t give a damn what anyone says, whether you’re talking to your mother, a preacher, or Jesus Christ himself, you simply cannot do so. There will always be a Hollow-ness to your words in the eyes of the one suffering. Rittz is in the TOP 3 best rap artists of all time. The stories he shares with us all, are all to relatable. The realness ,the honesty, the way he can put a song together and just make you think while bobbin your head. Rittz or anyone if you're struggling ,keep going. Push hard to get where you want.
Twin Lakes is a great recovery center. Been there twice and the last time was 6 months ago. Still doing the damn thing! Hang in there if you're still suffering. There's hope for you!
I would dead ass freaking cry my eye out if something ever happen to this old man lol , i freaking love rittz hes always snaping and i can relate to some of his songs🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤❤
It doesn't matter what this man raps about he makes anything good he is so underrated and it kills me because he is probably one of the best lyricist in the game
@Vincent H. said one of the best. Old enough to have relatable experiences and actually have a understanding of the song. Also music is subjective, so how does my personal opinion relate to my age?
I got clean almost 6 months ago from opioids. I'm 24 and had two back surgeries and two hand surgeries and was literally dying as I took more and more and my pain constantly got worse but now that I'm clean I can truly see that those 6 years I wasn't myself and the fog has finally settled and I'm finally myself again. I love you Rittz and I'm so proud of you and happy for you. Anybody out there struggling just know YOU CAN DO IT! I thought I knew everything and once I trusted in myself and the Lord again I knew I could overcome ANYTHING and you can too! MUCH LOVE
🙏 "praying to the light on the fire alarm" is one of the realest lines ever in life & in music!!! I been where u been Rittz, one day at a time my man!!
Rittz be goin crazy! Dope song! Never heard it tho until today I heard it at a recovery center that I work at. I've been sober from drugs and alcohol for over a year now after being an addict for 20+yrs. Now I just want to help others overcome addiction. Whoever reads this just know that you are worth it! I love you! ❤
I’m in active addiction and I pray every single day that I’ll be ready to go get clean and sober again. If it wasn’t for Rittz, I probably would have ended my life already. Him and his music keeps me going every single day. I just wish I could find the way out before it’s to late. Any positive feedback or anything from anyone would really help me out a lot. Could use some advice.
It took me 3 times going to rehab, kicked a pill/coke addiction. I decided to only use cannibis and have an occasional drink when i got out. The counselors told me it would never work and i would be back, but 7 years later ive left everything but cannibis alone. My point is, there are no right or wrong answers, but when you decide that whatever youre doing is no longer worth it, you will find a way. Stay strong, and if you ever need any one to talk to hit me up on facebook.com/HollywoodAliaz
@@brandonsmith8631 you're right on that one the only thing I can say is be positive everyday be around people who are positive look yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself every morning when you wake up it's possible this is only you who can change that which is wrong in your life listen to motivation like this song motivate yourself to do anything you wish to do in your life
Been taking pills for over 25 years Lost a lot a friends to heroin deaths. Been sober for 2 1/2 months and ain't going back..main reason is to proof I'm not weak... good luck to you my friend.
Natural drugs to help ween you off helped me a lot. Like Kratom for opiod/alcohol addiction, kava for stimulant addiction. If you want more info feel free to reply
I started doing pills at 16 a few years later heroin, a few years after that meth I'm 35 now I've spent more of my life high than I have sober. I am just starting being sober, but let me tell you this........ I've been booked into jails over 40 times my driver liscence has been suspended 32 times I've been married and divorced I have rebuilt my life from rock bottom more times than I can count. I have 2 good friends left everyone has died, and I still continued to use. And like you I was looking every where for the answers for help and it never came. Eventually I just got tired of it all you have to look with in yourself when your ready to quit you'll quit
I attended Twin Lakes Recovery Center in May 2019 & got out June 9th. Best worst days of my life! It sucked but, I’m SO grateful for Twin Lakes. Sober almost 8 months now! This song hits hard cause it’s about recovery & the place that I got sober at. & everyone that is in recovery also, KEEP PUSHING FORWARD. We can do this TOGETHER! I am here if you need someone to talk to. Please reach out if you need any help! I love each & every one of you! & BRAVO Rittz. Amazing song that touches many people’s hearts!
THIS SONG SPEAKS TO ME ON SO MANY F****** levels!!! I know Rittz will never see this comment, but thank you! I’m in recovery right now!! Drugs take your life away, and make it so hard to get back. It leaves fractures in cracks that you can never fill. All you can do is keep moving on much love to Ritz thanks for this amazing, moving song
I didn't go to recovery, but this song reminds me a lot from when I committed myself. I'm a Navy vet with PTSD and other mental health issues. I learned a lot and got the help I needed. Please, please, please! If you're reading this and you have issues with drugs, alcohol, or mental health go get help. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Quite the opposite, you feel proud of yourself afterwards for getting help and better your life and even those around you.
I'm staying in a sober living house right now after serving 6years in prison and I needed this song. Rittz always has the realest music and I thought I couldn't relate to him anymore because I'm sober. Then... this. Thankyou, rittz.

Alcohol ha🎉s its grip. Been listening to this song since the day you released it. Tried getting help but have been told that I am fine 4 times now. Definitely not fine. I live separate from my kids and everyday it hurts!!! I don't know how to get someone to help.
Compared to how many rappers there are in the world, VERY few have that REAL ability to reach your with their lyrics and way they hit the beat. Rittz is definitely one close to the top of that list which is crazy for the short amount of time that he’s actually been pretty well known. Pretty much already legendary status in some categories.
Brandon Perkins.. I stumbled on rittz when I heard yelawolf's first box Chevy... then white jesus revival.... automatically I knew he was something different... something relatable... this was before he was with strange.
SUMmummaBISH35 I had heard his name several time because of my genre of music in general, which was also before he was on Strange and then also the first full song I really sat down and listened to was White Jesus and I was just completely blown away. Fast rap has been around for years and years and also lyrical skill, but he combines the two in a way I had never heard before that made him completely unique from anyone else. He’s definitely one of a kind for sure.
Two months ago I moved out of the sober living house that saved my life in just under two years. Still sober after 1 year and 8 mother fuckin months!! Got my son back, my own spot, my own ride, living happy. Thank you Rittz.
Fireeee. I'm 7 months clean an this really hit home. If your battling addiction, I promise you got this. Be strong an put a end to the lifestyle of going nowhere. I'm here for each an every single one of yall. Its 2019 sobriety is what's up. Let's rise up an be a generation that did it.
Good for you Rittz! We need music like this for people cuz other rapper talking about doing drugs not selling em... I been through many addictions, heroin, percs, meth, alcohol.... Music is a good tool for people and helps them relate if the ones around em arent helping. Im clean now, anyone can do it you just gotta really want it!!!! We all came from different places and ended up at 1 spot.... Rock bottom. Work your way up from it and you will feel like king of the world i did it and you can too!!!!💯
Bro Rittz...thank you for this upload! Alot of us walking that path right now and your music helps us get thru this! Salute to you and all the real ones in the comments! 🙌🏽💯🔥🔥🔥
I played three songs from rittz for my friends, This one, dear rebecca, and nowhere to run. When they were over, I told them that the same artist did all three songs and they couldn't believe it lol. Rittz is to damn good for this generation.
I’m less then a month away from three years clean, and when I was less then a year clean I almost gave up.. for some weird reason on the way to the doorman’s house, this song came on in my headphones. Rittz you saved my life brother, and you did that with your music and your hardships and struggles man. Thank you so much, my kids, my girl, and I will forever be grateful for you, your story, and your music!

Been clean for over 2 years now, done my time in prison too just let your brother know you love him and that he is a soldier and can be a good person when he gets out. But its not an inevitability if you tell them you love them and remind them of passed mistakes while also making them motivated and knowing that they can move on if they really want it!!!! Hello, my name is Milo Izianopolous I’m a recovering heroin addict. September 8th, 2019 I made the decision to change my life for the better and kick opiates, cocaine, alcohol & cigarettes ... It’s exactly what I needed to hear today, Thanx Rittz ! Sincerely, A new fan

As a recovering addict this song hits me deep. I remember the day I walked into rehab in 2016 and Rittz just made it more surreal with this song. I can proudly say its been 7 years and im still killing the sobriety game. Ill always be a fan Rittz!!
This💔💔💔 this means so much.. Ive struggled for so long.. Grew up in recovery.. But my recovery has been on and off. Since 05.. But i know its my choice.. Its tough.. I love this tho.. Its so raw.. So real.. Sometimes i think i cant.. Im not willing.. But as im buzzed i listen to music bout recovery.. I struggle with alcohol. Ive struggled with dope.. But we replace one with another... Alcohol bein legal makes. It so easy to justify.. But.. The struggle us so real..
What makes this more powerful is the music video was shot in a hotel roomand that goes to tell you he's telling you if you don't get help your get to be living in a hotel.and he's also reflecting as an artist what he did to his career and how much damage is drug abuse that is caused him over the years deep. That's why I love Rittz
Holy shit man, this made me tear up. RAW. I'm so proud of you and how far you've come and how much change I've seen! Such an inspiration for other's out there struggling.
Thank you Rittz for this song its helped me alot with my journey to get clean. I found it near the end of my addiction and it was what i listened to on the comedown every time i was awake just to remind me if i cant do this itll ruin my life and i can get clean and life is much better now not running rhe streets and doing drugs.

The realness ,the honesty, the way he can put a song together and just make you think while bobbin your head. Rittz or anyone if you're struggling ,keep going. Push hard to get where you want.
I basically cry every time I hear this, just wow man. Rittz nailed this one. Speaks to me on so many levels. Can’t stop listening 😭
This is literally one of the best songs I've ever heard
Foreal I cant stop playing it
@Vincent H. said one of the best. Old enough to have relatable experiences and actually have a understanding of the song. Also music is subjective, so how does my personal opinion relate to my age?
4REAL!!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💯💯💯💯
MUCH LOVE
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
Courage to change the things I can.
And wisdom to know the difference
Amen

@@brandonsmith8631 you're right on that one the only thing I can say is be positive everyday be around people who are positive look yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself every morning when you wake up it's possible this is only you who can change that which is wrong in your life listen to motivation like this song motivate yourself to do anything you wish to do in your life
Been taking pills for over 25 years
Lost a lot a friends to heroin deaths.
Rittz is the Phil Collins of our generation. Lyrical genius and the beast are always perfect
Please help I'm ready for recovery since 2015 the complex in 2015
Day 20 of quitting heroin and methadone cold turkey was on it for a decade. The withdrawals are vicious but I'm still here
You can do it. I believe in you. ❤
When a song make you feel emotional that's when an artist has my attention. I definitely felt this one!
We love you rittz! Amazing song!
I've had this on repeat for over an hour.

You know a song is good when it makes you think of at least one person who NEEDS to hear it.
Andrew Veale some real words spoken bro💯
Frfr. Doing that right now

I played three songs from rittz for my friends, This one, dear rebecca, and nowhere to run. When they were over, I told them that the same artist did all three songs and they couldn't believe it lol. Rittz is to damn good for this generation.
Damn rittz keeps getting better every song he really puts it all into his music for us

I’ve been home a month from detox and php in south Florida And I want to say I’m proud of you for taking this step regardless of your a alcoholic or drug addict your a addict and you have the tools and support from your family

@@mylesscott2454 percs was harder to quit for me that heroin... Been clean for over 2 years now, done my time in prison too just let your brother know you love him and that he is a soldier and can be a good person when he gets out. People who forget that end up turning back to the game... But its not an inevitability if you tell them you love them and remind them of passed mistakes while also making them motivated and knowing that they can move on if they really want it!!!! The only thing that stopped me from leaving the game was what other people would think.... If they the ones who influencing bad and not being a good person f*ck what they think! What makes this more powerful is the music video was shot in a hotel roomand that goes to tell you he's telling you if you don't get help your get to be living in a hotel.and he's also reflecting as an artist what he did to his career and how much damage is drug abuse that is caused him over the years deep.
