- Hi beautiful people! I'm sitting down with y'all today to give you my thoughts and a tutorial on The Beachwaver. In this video, I'm using the B1 Glitter Limited/Holiday Edition waver! How cute is the pink glitter?

If you want the nitty gritty, I definitely think the Beachwaver curling iron is worth it! It it so easy to use and creates beautiful and effortless styles. It's very easy for people who may experience difficulties using their hands, which I can confirm from experience. Due to having Covid-19 in September (for the second time, had it in January 2020! Yes, I'm vaxxed.) I experience occasional episodes of pretty severe hand tremors. It's very frustrating for me, but has been gradually getting better. My Beachwaver has gotten more use than ever, and I couldn't love it more.

It can be a little tricky to get used to but definitely makes a difference in the longevity and volume of your hairstyle!

@@AlexaRoseHealy You are really changing the beachwaver game though, I've been binge watching hair curling videos while waiting for mine to come in, and you're prob the only vid I saw curl their hair like this. I have long hair with layered lengths so I think your method of clipping it near middle and slowly twirling it will help me better than clipping at the ends. Fingers crossed!! Also, what temperature do you use? Thanks again for the video~

I think it definitely depends on your curl pattern! I know a lot of curly girls will blow their hair out before curling for a smoother/looser look but it totally depends on your hair type.
I bought the 1.25 like 5 days ago and my curls fall out immediately. I used to use a wand bc I can’t use a regular curling iron and when I brush through them they stay but not with this :(
You might do better with a smaller barrel in that case! The tighter the barrel is, the tighter the curl is and less likely to fall when brushing through. I also try to let my curls cool for as long as possible before brushing for longer lasting curls.
I would also try either pinning the curls up, or holding the curl in your hand to let it cool before letting it drop. My hair is super thick and my curls last a lot longer when I do this.
I am going to try your method. I tried the one from starting at the bottom and it left indents and the curl didn’t last.
So we are supposed to curl away from the face right? I always mess this part up
ETA: This tutorial actually work! It took a bit of practice but I was able to get good results. I will keep doing it to perfect the technique. Thanks you for this tutorial❤

I got the same one! My hair is super long like yours and I’ve been using it a couple times now and I love it and I use the same technique as you because that’s the only way I have ever curled my hair with any curling iron. I just wanted to ask does your hair get stuck in the clamp at all?? I’ve had this issue where like one my hairs will get stuck in that little spot where the part you put your thumb on meets at the clamp and it’s really annoying 😩😫 I wanted to see if you had that issue and if you had any tips on how to prevent it.
I run into that issue when I’m being lazy and grabbing way bigger pieces than I should (which is too often lol). The best way to prevent it is to use smaller pieces and not start with the hair clamped too close to the base of the iron!

How long did this take you to do for your whole head of hair? I have about the same volume and length of hair and if it takes longer than 30 minutes I know I won't ever use it.

I definitely feel that, my dyson blow dryer has been a lifesaver and cuts drying time like crazy. Between that and my beachwaver, styling my hair is tolerable lol

I’ve been trying this and I can’t get any of my curls to stay and my hair starts steaming while completely dry :(
If you have this model, there's 3 heat settings - I'd recommend trying out the lowest one in that case! Are you using a heat protectant?
Steaming is normal. Use a heat protectant & a light/flexible holding spray so your curls can cool before raking your fingers through. (Pin curling is best, but most ppl don’t know how to do that)
CAN YOU CURL FROM THE TOP DOWN?
Do you mean from the top layer? I guess you technically could, but it could get messy and you’d be more likely to miss pieces.
what temperature did you have it on ?? i couldn’t see whenever you held it up
This model has 3 settings, I had it on the medium setting! For my pro, I normally set it to 350.
Thank you girl I’ve been wanting to purchase a curling iron and I didn’t know if it would work if this product was made cheaply I’m definitely getting it cause I have extensions too and I have so much hair. It’s so hard to style lol
It definitely helps cuts down on styling time (and effort lol) with extensions!
