Some straighteners definitely run hotter at the ends than others! I'd definitely recommend using a glove in that case so you don't burn yourself. It takes practice, but you'll get the hang of it! You may find it easier to use the alternate method of wrapping the hair around the plate and closing it rather than twisting the straightener.

@@AlexaRoseHealy I tried that and it worked ok on one side but couldn't copy it on the other side 😂. I cut my hair recently and started using a blow out brush. I kinda just wanted to try new things at age 40 lol. I've always straightened my hair but just the regular way. I appreciate any advice. Idk why I can't get the same affect on the left side of my hair?

I have long hair with layered lengths so I think your method of clipping it near middle and slowly twirling it will help me better than clipping at the ends. Fingers crossed!! I do! You do rinse it before getting out, so I add a little extra to my feet, elbows and hands after I dry off. I find it helps me get a super even color!

Ugh, I am so sorry. They literally get insane - even a good install can't save the quality of that hair. Cashmere hair is a great option - it's definitely pricier but the quality is much better.

Hair extensions always have a smell when you first unpackaged them but it goes away after the first wash! If they smell while installed, they’re not being properly cared for.

I bought 2 bundles and had around 220 installed!

You might do better with a smaller barrel in that case! The tighter the barrel is, the tighter the curl is and less likely to fall when brushing through. I also try to let my curls cool for as long as possible before brushing for longer lasting curls.

I would also try either pinning the curls up, or holding the curl in your hand to let it cool before letting it drop. My hair is super thick and my curls last a lot longer when I do this.

I know EXACTLY what you mean - I recently tried getting a spray tan for the first time and literally looked diseased because of the way it settled into my pores lmao. I have not experienced that issue with the face serum at all and actually was super impressed at how smooth/even the tone of my face looked after! Definitely make sure to moisturize etc. beforehand - I hope it works as well for you as it did for me!

After a few weeks they started to shed/tangle pretty badly. They’re fine for the first install(6-7 weeks), but I got them installed again and had them taken out shortly after because they started looking like a wild animal on my head.

To be totally fair, these are definitely only good for one install! I’m nearing the end of my second install of this hair, and had swapped the bottom track for new hair that was left over because that’s typically where hair begins to tangle, but the tangling is still insane no matter how much I comb/deep condition/oil the hair. I think they’re great for a 6-8 week install, but no longer than that.

I definitely feel that, my dyson blow dryer has been a lifesaver and cuts drying time like crazy. Between that and my beachwaver, styling my hair is tolerable lol

This model has 3 settings, I had it on the medium setting! For my pro, I normally set it to 350.

If you have this model, there's 3 heat settings - I'd recommend trying out the lowest one in that case! Are you using a heat protectant?

Steaming is normal. Use a heat protectant & a light/flexible holding spray so your curls can cool before raking your fingers through. (Pin curling is best, but most ppl don’t know how to do that)

I think it definitely depends on your curl pattern! I know a lot of curly girls will blow their hair out before curling for a smoother/looser look but it totally depends on your hair type.
