    Im new to your channel. But enjoying this content so far. Nice rig, nice build. I own 2023 LC Prado which I have done a few mods to it and gradually building it to suit my needs. Looking forward to more content from this channel. Your channel is like mine in a lot of ways, no stupid background music, no drama, just good old fashioned hands on build. Great stuff. You now have a new sub

    I always put a piece of copper flyscreen down the back of the grill to protect the radiator / air con rad from rock & gravel strikes puncturing the tubes. I had a bit of gravel hit the radiator in my ute many years ago & the coolant pissed out the pin hole & left me on the side of the road with a boiling car.

    • @OutbackOffroadNT
      @OutbackOffroadNT  7 месяцев назад +1

      Good point mate, I usually do have some installed in my rigs because of all the grass seed and what not, our roads are ok at the moment so there is no grass seed, however I may have to get onto that!

      @@OutbackOffroadNT Check out the Superior Engineering front diff pumpkin protector too. If you check the wall thickness of the front diff pumpkin where the filler plug screws in it's not that thick and can be dented into the crown wheel by rock impact when off roading.

    If you are going to put on an aluminium sheet, put some spacers underneath the sheet on top of the box, like a tropical roof, that used to work real well on a landrover i used to have. Wind and air gets underneath and the sun doesnt hit the roof of the box.

    I’ve always found if you tape the cable to a coat hanger wire 1 inch from the sharp end and spray some wd40 on it, she’ll go straight through the grommet. My worst nightmare was always going through the firewall until I did this. Cheers from Darwin

    • @OutbackOffroadNT

      Good tip mate, I actually taped a zip tie to the cable and poked it through the hole to try pull through, but the zip tie pulled off! Got there in the end though.

    Just to be clear, you cut the side panel off a brand new LandCruiser, because you feel that black box will stay on there forever? Ok, you're clearly a multi millionaire.
    I'm driving a year 2000 Ranger! It did have a camper on it but that's gone. Hence why money is a thing for me. Anyway, if you're throwing away any later model cars let me know (only because the Ranger is a deathtrap Lol).

      Don't be silly mate, I'm just modifying my rig the way I want it. I don't care what anyone else wants or thinks, I'm not like most others in that, this vehicle in the next 5 years will have roughly 4 to 500,000km put on it for work. It's a tool for me. Nothing wrong with your 2000 ranger mate. Have fun in it, I started out in a 92 2wd hilux, had more fun in that thing then I care to remember haha, cheers 🍻
