I remember after my visit I thought for months how great it would be to retire there. Now I’m retired and thanks to your videos I’m dreaming of it again.
Yeah, we could definitely see ourselves living there too, at least for a while. The people are so friendly and the food options are so fresh and healthy, and being able to go to a different waterfall each day of the year would be pretty great too!
Wow! The whales tail beach looks beautiful as do all the waterfalls! Love the little restaurants too. Thanks so much for the great video...can't wait to see more of your adventures next weekend!
We found so many beautiful places all around Costa Rica, we could probably spend months here and not see all of it's attractions (beaches, waterfalls, caves, volcanoes, etc) It is such a diverse and friendly country. Thanks so much for watching and we hope you are staying warm!
i love how many beautiful waterfalls they have there! I definitely need to get to Costa Rica - maybe in 2025. We'd definitely love the brewery and the whale tail - though with my fear of water, I'd have to be quick with my crossing!
We really hope you guys do get a chance to visit. We're sure you'd love it. But when you do visit, definitely do make sure you monitor the tides. They go up and down extremely quickly and can really effect how enjoyable your day at the beach is!
We hope you are able to visit some day. We absolutely love Costa Rica and want to visit other areas of the country in the future. Thank you for watching :)
Thanks for checking out Uvita with us! What would you be most excited to do..walk out on the Whales Tail? Jump off of the Uvita Waterfall? Go somewhere to take in the views? Or something else? Next week we will have even more Costa Rican adventures, so be sure to subscribe if you haven't already ☺️
Man, you guys are making me want to visit costa rica for my next trip! Is it common to rent scooters to get around like thailand and the philipines or is a 4x4 vehicle the way to go? Not familiar with the weather yet but I'd plan on going during whatever the "dry season" is. If there is one lol
That's great to hear. We hope our next couple episodes seal the deal for ya! Regarding the scooters, we wouldn't say it's too common (I think most tourists are probably intimidated by the thought of driving in Costa Rica on scooters), but I (Skylar) would definitely do it if traveling solo. I'd probably try to avoid riding at night though. We did meet a few guys at the Uvita Waterfall who had been getting around on little 50 cc scooters they rented, and they said that they loved it.
Y'all never fail with food and drink shots....always a fav of mine. The scenery is amazing! I'm enjoying tagging along so much. I'm wondering...if I stayed at the Whale Tail Hotel how would I get from the main city to Uvita? Is there a way without renting a car? Thanks for any info....I'd LOVE to trace some of your steps here for sure! 🙂
Thank you! Regarding your question, we'd probably just rent a bike or maybe a little scooter and get to the whale's tale that way. There are taxis as well. From what I've you can get around via taxi for $5-$10 per trip, but we've never had to get one for ourselves.
Hello Eduardo! Thank you so much for watching our video. We sure are glad you enjoyed it, and we sure can't wait to come back and explore more of your beautiful country soon!
When driving from place to place did you feel like the drive times gives by google maps was accurate or do we need to add additional time? We’ve heard mixed things on this.
For short drives (half hour or less) they generally seemed to be accurate within a couple of minutes, provided they actually took us to the right place. We did have a couple occasions where Google maps took us to the complete wrong spot, but both times our actual destination was pretty close by.
We visited in November which is towards the end of rainy season. Rainy season is May to November, so you probably will experience quite a bit of rain, but most days still have periods of sunshine, even during the rainy season.
Yea this area is considered more touristy and therefore more expensive. Food/drinks were much cheaper further away from the touristy areas...but at least it was a giant iced latte 😆 later on in the series we should have some cheaper and more authentic experiences.

How wonderful that the family cooked that beautiful meal! What an honor ❤
We sure had some really delicious food during our time in Costa Rica, thanks so much for watching!

Amazing place. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much, Gladys! It really is an amazing country.
Whale Tale Hotel and Brewery looks like a great place to stay!
Agreed. We were really regretting not knowing about that place before booking our stay in Uvita. There prices were actually really great!
These guys take you on an adventure every time.
Costa Rica has so much to offer for adventuring and exploring, thanks so much for watching!
Gorgeous view at the first restaurant!!
Yes, it really was!

Wow! I've never been to Costa Rica before and this gives me some definite ideas!
We hope you are able to visit some day. We absolutely love Costa Rica and want to visit other areas of the country in the future. Thank you for watching :)
Lived a little over two years in that area. Been back in St. Pete for 10 years now. Great place but out growing it’s old charm. Nice video!
Thank you for watching, we did notice a lot of changes since we visited years ago but thankfully we did still really enjoy our time in the area.
Looks fun!
it was quite the adventurous day, thanks so much for watching :)

It seemed kind of rainy, what time of year did you go? I'm going in June/July and afraid it's going to rain a lot.
