Wow thank you so much for this post. That sound from Garlands you can't mistake it. I love how with every passing album the Cocteau Twins always showed a different aspect of their sound...
I saw this, I was there, Cocteau Twins were support to OMD ("Dazzleships"?) - and were far superior to the main act. Result: no more OMD, CT all the way from there onwards. Gorgeous and ethereal, thirty-five years on (!) still mesmerises me today.
Elizabeth Fraser is my favorite singer ever since someone accidentally left a tape in my car in 1987. Cocteau Twins made an album that changed my life. Love the sound and the video here, but I like the album tempo best.
Great video, Davey! Such an energized performance by the Twins - oh, to have been there, then. I love the imagery you used - it all comes together nicely.
Shum65, was this recorded when they supported OMD ? If so I was there, I'd never heard of the Cocteau's before but after seeing them I have been hooked ever since.
I m 50 and i still love it!!!
this song is SO much better at a faster pace. also, gorgeous video!!

WooooHooooo!!! Unbelievable!!!
EXCELLENT recording quality! and LIZ is out of her TREE here!
I'm glad her vocals come through so well on this, there are a lot of live videos where her voice is so buried in the mix you can barely hear her.

I know her sister!
One of their best gigs. My favorite track. Thank a lot for the upload.

Wonderful! Beautiful editing and a real hommage to that group. Thank you very much.

Wonderful job editing this up tempo version! You'll always be shum 1 to me shum 65 unless you chose 65 intentionally the first time that is!
Direct to my favorites my friend! :)
Hey, at the end I can hear the first notes of "Alas dies laughing"! Did you post that version too?

This is actually better than the album and John Peel versions! The album and Peel Session versions are a bit hip-hoppy for my taste. Lol
@shum65 My date of birth is in the grace of all graces.
A bit fast.
