This was such a good lesson. It's so easy to get target fixation when you are actually playing.
I've only had the game about 6 days now, at 700mmr and I'm an oldy now, sometimes I end up floating cash whenever I get fixated and stop thinking of predicting my opponent, rather than "doing what' i'd like to do"

100%! There's a time and place to "focus on strategy execution", but with the way the game is, it's always important to reevaluate every round.

I think it's worth mentioning that "War Factory Abuser" is N_sacco, arguably the best player in the whole game. I feel like this game (since he's on an alt) he was trying to force a strat with blatant disregard for what was happening on the other side.

Be that as it may, I don't see how this would work if you don't have units left over to clear out the right side pressure.

Yes pushing that tower was useless, but mustangs are also pretty OP, they can fight everything but don't have a hard counter themselves, so they're the perfect unit to promote.

I'm lower MMR than either of these players, but I feel like the phoenix flank was simply an actively bad move given the fang drop shown, and fangs on the outside tower flank is just a bog-standard fang defense. Overall I think round 2 was just a very poor turn from the red player.
Edit1: Its still good to point out how the fang defense operates, so good job on that.
Edit2: Agree with you about the strategic mistake of the flank
Edit3: Very poor form of factory abuser to whine over the mustang drop when it was a round 2 drop he was offered and fully aware of. Its not like a built position got countered or something
