    i use 2 H9's with my G2 and 2 amps in stereo. one is in both amps instrument level fx loops in stereo the other pre/post in front of amp. H9 kills them all. I sold all my strymon pedals H9 just does it all for me. Using it this way gives you tons of options when adding effects. strymon 1700 bucks H9 x2 @ 800 bucks.

    This demo doesn't do this pedal justice at all. Why even demo metal? Eventide doesn't have a distortion algorithm (fuzz and crush) but that is 3-4% of what they offer. And the audio on this seems to be mono so it's all down the middle on the mix. Go listen to Eventide verb plugged into a saw wave at the longest release - that is magic.

    Can you use multiple effects at once for example use a reverb (SPACE) and a delay (timefactor) and maybe a chorus (modfactor) and harmony (pitchfactor) all at the same time? I don’t think I’ll ever need this, but can you run multiple of the same effects at once, for example two delays (time factor)? Actually, I would probably use this for the modfactor part of the app, using a chorus and phaser at same time, or a chorus and rotary or something. So basically, can you use multiple effects off the H9 at the same time? Thanks and God bless!

      @Remastered Black Metal Albums Yea you can't really rely on any pedal for a truly metal tone, digital or otherwise. What really holds your tone down in that regard is the amp head. If you've got a good tube amp for the genre like a mesa or a jcm all you gotta do is turn up and get a crappy boost pedal and it'll sound amazing.

    • @MindfulProgramming
      @MindfulProgramming 5 лет назад +1

      right, but some H9 algorithms feature multiple fx baked in. also, you can scroll presets with the right footswitch when "Tap Tempo" mode is de-activated. That said, compared to other multi-fx pedals(Line 6 HX Stomp, Atomic AmpliFire Box, Mooer GE-200, Mooer Preamp Live, Zoom MultiStomp) AND individual "big box" pedals(Stryfecta, Meris, BOSS 500 Series, Ventris, GFI System), the H9 sits right in-between those two classes, and hold up pretty well. Smaller than most multi-fx units mentioned but does less, and smaller than most big box pedals mentioned but does more.

    • @nr92cp6
      @nr92cp6 4 года назад

      @@PinchTune That's not really the issue. The H9's dirt algorithms are incredibly versatile and warm sounding while being very deep with control. Unfortunately, having so much control means that you can make bad sounds as well. But having spent a decent amount of time diving into them, I really like the various drive and fuzz options on the H9. Sculpt in particular can be dialed in to emulate almost any overdrive I've ever tried.

      +Prince Westerburg partly I think its because strymon stuff is easier to learn, and younger musicians like stuff that's not difficult to learn. I like to think that I'm a minimalist when it comes to pedals, and that's why I like my BlueSky and don't really care for 200+ presets on either delay or reverb. I love eventide stuff, but I just don't need 10 different reverb types.

    • @PrinceWesterburg
      @PrinceWesterburg 8 лет назад

      +Jordan Brazinski Thats very tue! The strymon just is a reverb (sort of) and the H9 is an Eventide i.e. ADC -> Computer -> DAC, so it can do anything and the manual comes with its own delivery truck :o)
      I ended up getting a Big Sky and am well happy with it.

      Yes, but no. Yes as in preset. No, because they are algorithm dependent and some algorithms are combinations of effects.

    • @dani1punch
      @dani1punch 9 лет назад +1

      +Andrzej Krasny hey so one algorithm can have a pitch, delay, reverb, chorus, etc. and the second algorithm/ preset could just be reverb? is that how it woks?

    • @andrewdoesthings7403
      @andrewdoesthings7403 9 лет назад

      +daniel carr limitations apply, good idea is to search for preset pictures because dials for each algorithm show whats possible.

      FPVision I’m willing to bet this demo just didn’t show you all the possibilities with this thing, the amount of people using this pedal leads me to believe this thing has some amazing tones in it, but it’s a matter of getting them out of it. That being said I’m waiting for mine to come in the mail.
