- Barry's looking for a new challenge and as far as he's concerned, there's only one choice - an El Camino. His newest fabricator, Bobby, has an emotional attachment to the El Camino; his dad gave him a '69 when he was a teenager. Although not Bobby's car, Barry's '70 El Camino wreck tugs at Bobby's heart.
He's helping rebuild this one for his dad, who'll be 'looking over his shoulder' as fiercely as his boss. Barry's money and Bobby's family ties are at stake - and they only have four weeks to get the car ready for auction. - Авто/Мото
The coolest dude I've ever known drove a '81 El Camino to high school every day.
The engine is a beast in this El Camino nice job Barry and team 👌
Simply gorgeous…..fabulous work. A piece of art.
Nice to see a muscle car like the El Camino restored completely. My kind of muscle car to own!
May your father rest in piece your story hit home for me, the elcamino will always remind me of my father I too took on his elcamino(1980) and am trying hard to learn to fix it
My grandfather 's car, was a 72, Ranchero. I love, these cars. I just found out, Ford, made one too. Not for long. It was the Darango.
Beautiful El Camino
Great job on that El camino. Thanks too these folks..a great classic is saved!!
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for Watching & Subscribing!
The love, skill and dedication to craftsmanship is what comes to the forefront with Barry and his team of merry artisans. It never gets old seeing them resurrect an old car to greater glory while entertaining us, and making mint!
Coolest tattoo I've seen in a while incorporating an automobile.
News flash: They aren't sure if they'll get it done in time
mam362 Seems like that’s the constant theme of this show.
It's yhe constant theme of every show that builds anything. Cars, houses, food, they're all out of time and literally finish as the clock hits zero. It's getting very old.
@@RayPlant77 It really is.
That's television hoopla, but the build's are awesome!
All these shows have the same M.O. Will we get it done in time
I Loved my El Camino!
El Camino Rollin Kilo G!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Simply Amazing! She’s a Beaut! I have a 70 that was my Dads and my first car. I wish I had the means to do that to mine! I’m so jealous! But so glad to see the potential of my baby! Someday, Lord willing! Great! Great! Job ladies and gentlemen! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Ok the guy that said that the elcamino is a stupid car is a prius owner and doesn't know what he's talking about
I'm a Prius owner and I'm buying a 72' El Camino today. Prius owners are just smart.
Got to love the El Camino. Wish Chevy would come back with it.
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for Subscribing!
Although my favorite year El Camino is the 1967, I'll have to say the 70 is a close 2nd. BTW, a well built engine with a stroker motor of that size should make more power than the 550hp. When the heads were tossed on without taking ANY measurements, it makes me wonder where the big bucks he spent on the motor went to? When I build a motor, the motor is assembled and disassembled at least 3 times to put the fitment right and record the clearances. My 496 naturally aspirated with 10.5:1 compression on 91 octane pump gas made 712hp with 651 ft.lbs of torque. It's the little things and knowing the correct mathematics for the parts you are using that makes the money you spend on the motor , worth it.
I'm from Corona, Ca and had a business on the same street as theirs.LOL
Steve Solo thats the difference you get when you know what youre doing, most of these engine builders do cheap fast work for a bigger profit
Why is Barry always in a hurry when he can do it way ahead of time and take his time and make it even more special
Not in the script.
Thats show biz baby
Sharp looking camino.
Deja Vu....1/20/1970 brought home my new El Camino, 300 HP, 4speed, bench seat, vinyl roof, Moss Green but that was the good part. It must have built on a Friday or a Monday because it needed to back to dealer for paint in the bed, oil in the gearbox and restore the fuse link to get it to run again. All this in the first five months. Sold it in May to fresh college architecture grad.
1970 El Camino fellas. Three weeks , I don't think so. Number 7 cam bearing is 700,000 too small. ??? WHAT !!! T.V. Drama.
I miss my 67 El Camino
What a sweet ride. Love those cars. I had a 70 EC that I did a body on restoration. It was very nice but nothing close to that. Some drunk towing a trailer side swiped it. It was fixable but before the carnage, it was a very strait, no Bondo car. I just couldn't love it anymore.
Amazing transformation...
absolutely gorgeous--
Great job guys 👏🏿
Some white letter tires would've killed it in my opinion
Team706 aGo got a 1970 dodge dart swinger that is 100 percent regional.
"Go draw something, leave me alone." jajajaja

Magnum 500s came on Fords , Mopars and Buicks, not Chevys...or any other GM besides the mentioned Buick
Awesome Car / Truck Love the Year Not Wild about the Color and Hate the Chrome Trim on the Side and on the Top Rear Fender's would have looked Much better without the Chrome Trim
sometimes i get so fed up with mine i wish one of these guys would just do it for me lol
Being an Aussie ive not liked the American ute's much compared to the 70's holden utes but this one is stunning, i like the Holden one tonners from the 70's like the HQ & also the 70's utes HQ HJ HX HZ stylesides.
Good thing Barry's not an aircraft mechanic.

I wish I could take a car apart down to every single piece and put it back together. I mean I could, but I'd picture and label everything and I'm sure it would take me months lol
I totally love the series but may b, just may b, getting to watch the videos in real HD would have been just another piece of cake...just a humble request to the channel....
They are kinda goofy looking but that just makes then different from most other things and more awesome.
in australia we call that a ute
dammm right mate it drive me mad when thay call a ute a tuck
Chevrolet called it a "coupé utility vehicle" though it is classified as a truck by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), since the latter class doesn't exist. Strangely, the Ford Ranchero - which the El Camino was competing with - was classified as a car. They're both based on a 2-door station wagon platform.
The chances are, the car's class designation came down to one person at the DMV whom didn't know any better and permanently classed it a truck based on the fact that it had a bed in the back.
We filipino call it UTEN
@@ragnarocking you are wrong my 73 is classified as a SUV by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), also the El Caminos are based of the Malibu chassis.
This was an 1969 El'camino at 19:30 it is an 1970! lol
good show, but i hate the deadline crap. we needa finsh this car or bike by this time!
im a barry white fan. from the philippines.
It's not a "truck" by any stretch of the Imagination! It's a Ute! (Trust me, I'm Australian)
~JD
yes, it's a utility vehicle.
No door hinge boo hooo, rebuild the existing hing with new bushings.
Happy aniversary, you both!
Those bidders at auctions must have more money than sense.
68 through 72 nice looking elco s
That made me remember someone else that has a 80's El Camino and that person is Kamikaze Kris from Street Outlaws
Eww a 80s model

Nice ride..It's a Chevelle with a bed.

My uncle works for Micum auctions😎
He wants me to push it across the stage
and see what it gets!
👉🏽Going to be real hard to do emotionally
I love when a buyer makes me a ridiculously low offer and tells me it's cash. I look at them and say, of course it is...you think I'd take your check.
Cash only worked back in the day when a business could keep cash payments off the books and tax free. Doesn't work as well these days where everything can be traced so "cash" has no incentive value any more. You know Barry has that $1,000 listed under expenses for buying that car.
Every episode has a crisis and time is always running out. Yet somehow they just squeak in every week, and, usually make a profit to boot. When my dad and I used to watch these shows a few year's a go, we used to try and guess what the crisis would be with the loser shouting the beers. Still a good programme and the car's sure look good. It's 2016 now.Is Barry's still going.????.
It's the formula for EVERY show of this type no matter what its a bout.
Reality TV, the most Unrealistic thing imaginable.
Darryl Kennedy and?
yeah infact hes having a car show coming up at his corona speed shop
Love it butThey said there were only two trucks it could be muscle truck I beg to differ I’d like to see them do a little red express
1500 was a great price for that car if they told me a thousand I would have said now it's 2000 for insulting me
Originally the script said they got it for 800, dude on the phone got his lines wrong.
DAM! I hope these dudes are around when I get my retirement "toy" car, 1965 Ford Thunderbird or Buick Riviera, but I want it all STOCK/ORIGINAL PARTS if necessary, dig? ...Payce.
What’s the novelty of all stock parts?
OKAY? Forget stock, ALL ORIGINAL!! 100% ...dig? ...Payce.
they must get those wheels cheap, they always use the same ones :)
I think they get 55 gallons of Bondo even cheaper.
Those are the wrecks to riches model now
Tim Smith That’s pretty messed up, I haven’t seen them use more than a skim coat of Bondo. You need to get your facts straight. You must be thinking of all of the other guys. Hell, even chip Foose use more Bondo than these guys
Wonder where this junk yard at?
Any one out there that can contribute an old car junkcar
They build nice rides but why paint it before everything else is done. Ive seen grinders throwing sparks all over some of the builds after paint. Im an autobody technician and painter and i know from experience that the sparks burn fresh paint. By the way i love El Caminos
Yeah, they had an episode where they steam cleaned an engine after it was painted. I don't get it either.
i love the show, but it maybe time to consider where you get your engines from. i think you should look up steve morris engines
MineCraftJunky28 if he was smart he would be saving and rebuilding all those stock engines he takes out and puts those in his rods.
is that you Daniel Negreanu?😎
At 10:42 I thought they autioned of Jens chevelle in season 1 episode 3.
were can I get that 506 engine from
i like the video
I watch couple of episode. For timing wise it all drama.Oh I have only 4 week to do it. Then berry start pushing everyone around. Even duo he can do it way before the auction.
How about a Pontiac Firebird 02 that would be interesting
come to Australia and see some "real" muscle ute's, they even have their own festival at the deni ute muster
why not work on a Pontiac firebird
A Pontiac Firechicken?...lol nah..I think we're gonna pass on that..
Wonder if they know what factory weel look like
Mr Barry. White. rags on his guys
BARRY!!! I made the same ground wire mistake too. Problem is when I did figured it out, smoked my wiring harness!! Stupid Ford lol.
I could never understand offering someone cash as some kind of added incentive. What else were they going to pay with, mung beans?
Nice
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for Subscribing
This one looks nice, but, I could never warm up to to a "Trar" (truck and car), so, why waste my money on one when I could get an SS 396?
Glad Hawaiian shirt guy got it.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for Subscribing
ohhhh!! at least they didn't paint the wheels gold!!
I own an 80 love my elky
Yeah come check out the el Camino on our channel tell us what you think 🤔
good dawd dmn, how much mud do you need for new parts? buy good parts to start....maybe pull the frame. nice build ya clowns
Barry looks pretty good for a guy that jumps off the building in every episode. Bible says no tattoos (something to do with blood poisoning). Ok, this is none of my business - but in case a kid watches this; a skeleton has nothing to do with a great dad. To My Kids - do not remember me as a dead thing. I think I liked Danny's El Camino's front-end better (from the side-by-side drive) but both are nice cars.
