Nice video, I am finally going to tackle this on my 88' GTA drivers side window and this really helps.
Lot's of trial and error to get it right. If you can, just leave the door panel off for a while so you can keep tweaking it without having to keep taking the panel off and on.

thank you for posting this. i had alignment issues on my passenger window ever since my car was in an accident in 2014 and Collison shop said there is no adjustment for the window being mis aligned. with a 1/4 gap at the top of the window. after watching the video it only took me an hour to adjust it properly.

I’m here watching after having some alignment issues after pulling everything apart for paint. Seems I’m missing the top rear stop for my driver window. Don’t know what it is supposed to look like. I too couldn’t move the window side to side until I lowered it! Lol
Axle, do you remember what the top stop was? Looks to be a bolt going through the rail but wha is on the other side? Just a washer and a nut?
If I remember right, it looks like a flat piece of metal with a 90 degree bend. You should be able to find and exploded view of the door with an image search.
I did this today to my 88 gta
just my passenger and I left the rivits stuff and drilled a hole underneath and bolt and nutted it from underneath and the thing hits it and it's adjustable and it works mint
I changed my window sweeps and noe I can't lower the window down it gets caught on the new felts
If it wears in I can remove the bolt
Adjust the in-out stops to avoid getting the glass caught on the felts when the window is all the way down.
