Been in love with this song since I was a little girl listening to my big brother's copy of A Kind of Hush. Long since decided if I ever have the money to pay for a custom karaoke recording, this is my first choice.

I keep coming back to one of my favorites songs! Love Charlie! He always made me laugh.Karen is priceless in this video! She sounds so good on this song. The happiness and warmth in her voice and the way she moves around along with those great clothes brings back such great memories! I'm remembering me & big sis rushing up to one another to get each other's thoughts on this great song! We loved everything Karen did.We still talk about and watch/listen to The Carpenters.I feel like a kid again every time I hear this song. Thanks Richard for picking this great song!.Thanks again for posting this awesome video!

I know some have blamed the release of "Goofus,": for the beginning of the decline of the C's popularity. Nah! It was a fun, novelty song. And had they not been "The C's" by then, nobody would have played it. It was fun -- and Karen and Richard didn't always have much fun...Karen was clearly having a good time -- and I'm glad of it...!

Dan TheMan It pretty much ruined their chances of ever being chart toppers ever again. A fun album cut but a ridiculous A-side.

@@henryjackson2357 Oh, please. They were already in decline, having fallen out of favor not because of any failings of their own but simply because their kind of thing was out of style. By then, too, unless I'm much mistaken on what year this came out, Karen was beginning to have her health problems, which probably cut into their ability to tour and promote. They absolutely otherwise might have had an ability to overcome this delightful number not finding its audience.
