    1. Zamiast mówić "Jaki jest twój numer telefonu" bardziej powszechne jest pytanie: "Dasz mi swój numer?" Ale pierwsze zdanie też jest poprawne.

I can explain you why he was so weird XD In poland people have a "distance" to strangers, e.g. when we see on the street a stranger (this must be a stranger not person who we know) we don't say ,,hello", or something. We're just living our own life. In poland when someone say to other person ,,what's up", it means he/she is interested about the other's person life, and because we are often complaining, we will tell that person about all the things that happened to us, both good and bad XD
      AND SRRY FOR BAD ENGLISH

I recently learned my great grandmother and her husband were polish, she survived the concentration camps, sent her daughter, my grandmother over to America at a young age, her husband was also polish-American. Makes me want to learn polish. Her last name was Kozlowski, am I correct pronouncing that as kohz-lohv-skie?

I noticed that, in this phrase the "aj" kind of sounded more like an "ej". Is this pronunciation of "aj" common?

Hi. They both correct, but using them in different sentences might sound better or less natural I'd say.

The teacher in this video needs to let us know that we need to use the formal and polite form of asking stranger questions - "Pan" and "Pani." Not all users of this video are children or high school kids talking to other kids their age. No language is difficult to learn - they ALL are but every language has both difficult and easy stuff. Aspect and Locative case take the longest to learn - but Polish isn't difficult compared to English's hundreds of irregularities and past perfect verb tense and conditional. And it's nearly impossible for foreigners to learn how we use "the" and "a." Spelling is hard at first but not nearly as hard as English spelling with all the irregularities. The only serious problems for foreigners is hearing the difference between "ś / si" and "sz" or "ż / rz" and know if the "oo" sound is "u" or "ó" or maybe "h" and "ch" - which are pronounced the same. Unfortunately every Polish class I've ever had did NOT spend the first 10 minutes on phonemes and pronunciation or dictation, as French does to test students' listening and spelling skills.

Is this a joke? Hard to believe you are Polish. A Pole would use "Pan/Pani" when talking to a stranger. You and the teacher don't know each other and you're not friends nor sisters. So you've insulted the teacher. I don't understand what you mean "ucze sie polskiego bedac polka ironiczne." You "ironically learned Polish being a Pole"??? And if you are Polish, what does "jaj" mean? I wonder if this is just a joke from Japan.
