So, my dissertation (the culmination of 4 years of constant writing and research) is due tomorrow. Despite all the work almost every day of that period (I could probably count on one hand the number of days I didn't do some work), I find myself writing up until the last minute. I found this video about 36 hours ago, and it has helped me get through the end. I don't know what this comment is worth--but if you're reading these words, know that inspiration, help, motivation can come from unexpected places; maybe it's a sound, maybe it's a quiet thought, maybe it's a pet, a friend, a good meal. I hope you find that gentle motivator.
its sad how life is for many people, money work and studies are the priorities in this material world for obvious reasons but how much did you actually live and feel something that really counts and matters during those 4 years? how much did you feel alive, inspired and actually lived? its not easy to find energy and time for all of that, sometimes health does not even let you enjoy those moments once your finally there, perhaps due to stress and other everyday reasons.

To feel alive and focused and centered on something so deeply! Work does not inherently mean suffering or not living! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading the comments on this video, the emotions people have shared, and decided to leave my own. Almost every night I get on my computer, put this on my second monitor and write my book. It helps me tremendously with getting into the right headspace, and I've created this habit so diligently that the second I hear the music my mind goes to a different place, one that feels so safe and familiar. I love the idea of this being giving the same feeling to someone else, even if it's for different reasons, or under different circumstances.
