Long live Dio! Cheers!
Ronnie James Dio had the greatest voice in metal. He left us too soon. Holy Diver and Last In Line are my favorite albums RIP.
🤘🏻🤘🏻
I think 'Dream Evil' is an underrated masterpiece! Cheers from Argentina!
🤘🏻
@@RuthlessMetalYT 😄⚡🤘
That’s always been my favorite Dio album!
@@Cammi-Cat-XIII Every song is great. And 'When a woman Cries' is the perfect ending 😁🤘
@@RuthlessMetalYTfor the love of All things Holy, please! Choose different background music. That piano part that sounds like it loops in
a crescendo, is hideous. Its the most annoying background music I've heard in a long time. I love your channel. Don't let tour potential be ruined because of something like background music. It may be a small issue, but it makes a big difference on whether people watch your videos or not. I just had to say something, not as a hater, but as a fan that is giving you constructive criticism. Thanks. Keep rockin' my friend
I feel that Dio had left this world too soon, but it appears he has been summoned to somewhere.
Hail Dio \,,/ \,,/

Happy 81th Birthday Ronnie James Dio! 🌈🤘

Stay Heavy! Long Live Dio! Cheers! 🌈🤘
I’ve always loved Dio! He’s one of my all-time favorite singers! Thanks for making this video! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
🤘🤘
Holy Diver is my favorite Dio album! 🤘
🤘🏻
I have his studio CDs from when he was in The Prophets, Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, and the This is Your Life album. In my opinion he is the most iconic signer Metal has ever had. I was happy to have been able to see him one last time before he was taken from us.
Me too. Cheers! 🤘
Dio is my absolute all-time favorite artist in Metal. From his incredible vocal performance, to his great song writing, to his amazing stage presence. He was a treasure to music, and is greatly missed today. He trully was the Man on the Silver Mountain. Long Live Rock n' Roll, Long Live Ronnie James Dio.
Cheers!
Nice timeline! I remember listening to Dio during the early eighties, me being around 9 years old, I was hooked on Holy Diver! I never saw them live, but finally in 2009 I got to see Heaven and Hell at Sweden Rock, great show! Never knew Ronnie would be gone within a year, so it was bittersweet for sure. Never late to crank those 80's albums though! Rock on! 🤘🤘
🤘🤘
Rest in power Ronnie James Dio 💪🤘
🤘🏻🤘🏻
I like all Dio albums and all Dio songs. For example I enjoyed Strange Highways a lot. Probably most unpopular is Angry Machines but it has nice hidden gems inside. I love Magica. Around 2000 I was searching for all the videoclips from Dream Evil or previous albums. Today it's much easier to find them. If you think you are true metal fan I recommend giving a try to all Dio albums, you could be surprised what's there.
🤘🤘
Thank you for your work on this Jim. Some new information for me. Also, the background music worked really well for the video.
yeah I slowed down some Dio midi's. :) 🤘
Thanks for making Dio video!!!
thank you! 🤘🏻
I feel like when Ronnie James Dio sings, he is singing directly to me. I have no idea what he is saying (LOOK OUT!), but I know he's talking to me. I'm not crazy, damnit! Love RJD!
hehe 🤘
Holy Diver and The Last in Line are my favorites
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio 🙏
RIP 🤘🏻
This video was Terrific!! Thank You for taking the time to put it together and for sharing it with us!! I never knew Holy Diver and Don't Talk To Stranger were written for the next Sabbath album. Love your channel. I am subscribed.😁😎🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yes Sir, thank you! loudwire.com/ronnie-james-dio-write-holy-diver-for-black-sabbath-wendy-dio-interview/
Greetings from Chicago. I just finished watching Dreamers Never Die and then just watched this. Not only was this another great piece, but this mini doc here helps fill in some minor gaps that were overlooked in the major piece. Hails 🤘
Thanks man! Cheers! 🤘
Well done, Thank you for this!

Greatest musical storyteller ever. Best voice in metal. RIP Ronnie.

All The Fools Sailed Away what a epic song....

I gotta shout out WarHorse on this one. Their whole discography is Crushing 🤘🏻
Cheers!
Good video. You can not hare Dio!!! He is and are a beast
🤘🤘
Wow never knew Gary Hoey auditioned!! 😮
🤘🏻
I was only a little kid in the 1980's and didn't get into heavy metal till I was 19 in 2000, I followed DIO's career ever since then right up until his passing, I listen to his fronted Dio, Black Sabbath and Rainbow music all the time, I remember when he passed in 2010 it was so devastating for me and I still is, I still can't believe he's gone, he is my all time favorite singer who always sang with such a passion and with such a powerful voice which always moves me. I own a couple of his concerts on DVD of his which constantly I put on and WOW he really knew how to hit a high note with such power and passion. I didn't know him personally but I miss him, his voice was magic and every time I hear it still is.
yeah, it was the biggest loss in metal more or less. 🤘
@@RuthlessMetalYT Yes definitely, 100%.
@@robertobuatti7226 cheers
@@RuthlessMetalYT Thank you, much appreciated. ❤🤘🎸
I really like Lock Up The Wolves Dio sings his ass off and Rowan shreds but still keeps great melody .
🤘
Rest in peace Ronnie James Dio
RIP 🤘
Ronnie James Dio will be remembered as one of the greatest technical singers in metal - or any style of music. He could have easily done duets with opera greats like Luciano Pavarotti. In my book, only Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, and a very small handful of other metal singers are in the same league.
I'm pleasantly surprised that Stryper was among the bands on the Dio tribute album. For some reason that warms my heart. 😜
I did read Stryper among the bands, didn't I?
yes! good 'ol stryper. 🤘
🤘
I never fully got into Dio's solo dischography, nor the other projects he was involved; but from the songs i've listened to, i just got to have great respect for the guy.
gotta get into them, the first four are essential, but there are gems later in his career too.
@@RuthlessMetalYTThanks for the recommandations, I'll check 'em out. Great work as always and STAY HEAVY!
yeah I did a rank 'em all video on Dio if you're interested. stay heavy and long live Dio! 🤘
@@RuthlessMetalYT I watched that one. Long live Dio!
RIP legend 💘💘
RIP
Dio!!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Can you please make the 100 rules of speed metal please? If you ask me, it would fit well
it's such a weird genre if it even is a genre, it's kinda an inbetween thing between power, heavy and thrash metal. Cheers! 🤘
Glad to see another timeline, would you be interested in doing a timeline on someone like Eric Clapton who has released a lot, and accomplished a lot.
I don't do rock stuff here. Cheers! 🤘
I can remember that someone once complained in one of your ranking videos that you always prioritize the first albums, and commented on that by saying that most bands are running out of breath or creativity (with the exception of Kreator, for example) but meets Dio unfortunately the rule is strong, I don't want to belittle this divine achievement of this outstanding singer at all, but his first 3 albums are light years better than what came after Sacred Heart, Dream Evil was still ok but after that... no thanks, maybe that's okay This can also be due to the change in music, but some other bands also manage to ignore trends and continue to be extremely successful
yeah, metal in general got worse over the years so it's often the early albums that are the best, no matter what the band, there are of course a few exceptions, bands that started in the 70s for example. 🤘
🤘👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹🤘 zajebisty perfect gigantyczny mega super
Cheers!
Ronnie had a hit before 82 man from silver mountain rainbow was his first band I think
he had like five bands before Rainbow. :) hehe. Elf being the one worth checking out since the rest of 'em are more 60s pop and rock.
Hey Ruthless Metal, is Dio still alive?
No he passed away in 2010 if you watched the video. ;)
Thanks!
For me the only God of Metal is Ronnie James Dio🤘
🤘
First two Dio albums were great! They should replace Ronnie and continue kids!!
🤘
Who else thinks Heaven and Hell is the best Sabbath album?
pretty much, that one or mob rules, or perhaps tyr. Cheers! 🤘

Good yeah I’m not very pleased about the text, since I am blind, and I want to read the text.
sorry for that. Cheers! 🤘
Excellent video.I lost the interest about Dio after Dream Evil. They made only shitty albums after, in my opinion.
yeah definitely a drop in quality but still, when Dio sings it's always great.
@@RuthlessMetalYT Singing very good but the music shit...👎
that's a bit harsh. ;)
@@RuthlessMetalYT sad but true...
Dio...uniqe voice in whole metal music..metalheads in whole world..metal fan's give special respekt for Metal Legend..metal music stay empty without him..forever..
