I have four theories on this. Theory 1: The bell tower was made of breadsticks, hand paint and shellac, eventually coming down collapsing. Theory 2: The bell tower was torn down and sold so the schools could get uniforms for the students that unfortunately weren't colorfast and there was a no refunds policy, so they couldn't afford to replace it. Theory 3: The bell tower was torn down and sold so the school could tap the oil underneath it. Unfortunately, Burns tapped the oil first and those that sold the oil rig to the school refused to refund it. Theory 4: The bell tower is there, but there's a localized black hole that absorbs all the light reflecting off it, so people only see the sky from the angles we're shown.

I noticed something odd. The layout of the Simpson's house changes a lot. Whole rooms will move to depending on what a character needs to see out their window, and the rumpus room doesn't always exist. It's like a house from the Twilight Zone!

Yeah that are many things about the school that changes. The colour/ how many swimming pools/The size of the stage in the Assembly Hall/The field trip Memorial/And later on they showed that there was even a river and that you could take boats to & from it.
