I think a lot of people are following the crowd with this issue, but some are extremely valid. Fix the performance and that save slot shit and I have no complaints to an already fantastic game 👌
I agree. The game is amazing with very few actual issues, such as the save slot garbage, and the performance dips in cities and heavily populated zones.
These feel like trolling mtx. Like if they were mandated and they just went like "ok you want microtransactions, got it. Done! I got you" All this stuff is either in the game or not necessary for gameplay. Like pre-order bonuses
If they try to SELL the extra save slots, as in it'll ONLY be available in the micro shop and not a free update, even if it costs only $1.... oh there will be RIOTS, hahaha.
Bang on man! I’m loving the game, over 30 hours in (no mtx purchased lol), it’s just so much fun! Regarding why this game can’t run at 60fps is due to CPU bottleneck. The game calculates every NCP, CPU’s can’t handle it. The reason it’s in this state, most likely the game wasn’t ready to be released, the suits made them release it, due to end of fiscal year in japan 31st March. BTW art of metamorphosis allows you to complete redo your character.
Ok the CPU usage makes sense now lol, that shit is taxing on the usage. And thanks for explaining the metamorphosis thing 👌. I’m probably gonna indulge in that after I beat the game the first time.
@@jtheconcept4143 I know exactly what you mean. I’m currently a fighter, and enjoying the shit out of that class, got everything set up the way I want it, don’t feeling like changing class, only in a new game I will.
I could care less bout micro transactions as long as it’s not holding my game back. If it’s a great game I’ll play. Unfortunate haven’t had the time to check it out
All of the people that got an advance review copy got the documentation about the micro transactions. The people chose to ignore not to disclose the information to us, and they had two days to do so.
What's really been grinding my gears is how people on social media are now crapping on the devs themselves and not just the execs, for supposedly making the game 'tedious' on purpose, citing Hideaki Itsuno's (the director's) comments on fast travel etc. It's clear that they've never even touched the first game; the tediousness in DD2 is by design; Itsuno wanted his dream fantasy game to 'communicate the arduous nature of travel'. So no, the game isn't like this because of MTX; it's a creative decision that in a cruel twist of fate and the greed of the Capcom execs, got mistaken for anti-consumer game design. Regarding the performance, it seems that NPC behavior is tied to the bloody CPU, so no wonder lmao.
Yeah it’s a shame that a capcom basically tarnished Itsuno’s image because of stupid marketing and monetization choices by the publisher smh. I like the game by design, it makes you feel more immersed than most games like it. But that CPU choice man 😤 you right no wonder lol
@@jtheconcept4143 Regarding the CPU thing, I don't think it was an intentional choice per se, but more to do with the fact that the RE engine was never meant for open world games in the first place (it was created for RE7 first, a linear game), and was retrofitted by the DD2 team for open world purposes. From Wikipedia: "RE Engine was created in 2014, during the beginning of the development of Resident Evil 7. The engine *was originally designed with the game's linear nature in mind* and was created to make game development more efficient." An engine made for linear games like RE7 tying NPCs to the CPU makes sense considering the far smaller scale of typical RE levels, but a fully open world, WITH NO LOAD SCREENS, tying NPCs to the CPU? Shit was rigged from the start. Highly recommend OhNoItsAlexx's DD2 performance review, good stuff.
I agree with your stance. I can see both points Asmongold & FightingCowboy made on MTX. MTX serves no point other to get more money out the customer. Its straight up useless. But the hate for this game is way overblown. As a fan of DD1 & is currently playing DD2, Its a amazing game. Lotta great improvements & changes i see here. All thats needed is the save slot fix & performance fixes and we good
Right I just want people to separate the game from the executives, and the mtx’s is nowhere near as bad as they are in other games but this game is getting massively downvoted when the game itself is excellent. I’ve never seen this before smh
i love the game, play it on pc and have 22 hours clocked in. the performance issues are odd, see Gamers Nexus video on it. The save slot is bullshit, straight up stupid. I hate Mtx and will always have a strong reaction to them, however the Mtx in this game are straight up unnecessary and bad publicity... even if you can just ignore them because they are that meaningless. You have hit the nail on the head, they are so pointless that you have to ask why they are in there to begin with! Edit: I have to add, this game made me into a loot hoarder! i just can't resist the urge to pick everything up, my pawns and me included are always bordering on max encumbrance X_X.
Lmao I got that loot demon in me too 🤣, but yeah these mtx’s are obviously corporates decision’s to shoehorn a checklist for monetization purposes. It’s super pointless smh

oh and the ox cart dragging bodies across the map
You're absolutely right 💯 I love this game, but the decisions they made were a head scratcher.
Very odd indeed smh

I don’t think they will cost a thing after this backlash lol

They're shills, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten review copies.
Yep scummy behavior all around smh.
60 FPS is the big console game deal breaker for me. No 60FPS mode, no buy.
LOL that clip of you with the ox is taking me out hahaha

I don't care how it of the way they are. The gaming community needs to adopt a zero tolerance policy towards microtransactions
I'm enjoying the game but won't buy into the mtx, anyone hating can kick rocks.
lol I agree 👌
Too loud intro for such quiet voice.
