    Great video 🌲 love the bark on this species. It helped me think about working with willow. They have a similar look and from your explanation it sounds like they behave similar. Thanks for posting, keep up the good work, and I hope to see more. I particularly like seeing the native species.

    Love those 2 tone pots on the right! How come they aren't on your site, Josh?

      We just sold out of those pots a few weeks ago, we may or may not be able to get more depending on what the supplier has. We are looking to start keeping a higher quality range of pots now though.

    Hey dude! Nice work! How and when do you go about repotting one of these into a bonsai pot? I've heard they die easily if you mess with the root ball, but all nursery stock comes root bound in standard nursery pots.

      Hey mate, i find the best time is late spring early summer before it gets too hot, or alternatively you can go late summer early autumn as the weather begins to cool but is still warm. Natives tend to have another growing cycle in early autumn which allows them to be repotted and easily protected afterwards. As for the root ball i have done some pretty crazy cuts and had them survive, in saying this though i also knew the trees were 100% at tip top health and my after care was top notch. if you are still starting out i would try getting it into a slightly larger Bonsai pot at first then reducing a bit each year until you reach the desired size pot.

      Wow good eye. I do infact, it mainly effects my hearing but I also have a hole in the roof of my mouth. How did you tell without me having a cleft lip?

      @@BonsaiEn not a good eye... Good ear... I told u I'm a maxillofacial surgeon... I can easily detect that nasal twang... And it won't go away even if you get corrective surgery done... Speech therapy will work wonders though... Nevertheless, nice video... Must have put in a lot of effort... Can we grow them from cuttings?

    • @vimanyu
      @vimanyu 3 года назад +1

      @@BonsaiEn cleft palate can occur with a normal lip too.. And it's cuz of that only that you have hearing issues.

    • @BonsaiEn
      @BonsaiEn  3 года назад +2

      Yeah I've had 5 surgeries and had a lot of speech therapy as a child. I used to get dye injected into my nose then I was tipped upside down and had to talk while the drs watched haha, not a nice experience.
      Junipers are not the easiest to grow from cuttings but can be done. The trick is to plant them in quartz or regular sand, keep the base warm and give them constant humidity or misting. Keep them out of direct sun.
