The issue I have is that it feels like a Vaseline effect to faces. Like a "pretty" tiktok filter that removes fine details in the face and makes it look plasticy and fake. Surprised you didn't use Tom's "AI scared me video" as super resolution is literally a product of what he was talking about. Thanks for the explanation, had to check this out for on my 3070, it used about 30-40% of my gpu while on (~10% increase from normal) the usage varied on streamed quality. Strangely I didn't see a change in utilization between 1 and 4, quality seems to have changed though, so load must be the same but with different algorithm (just my theory, don't quote me pls). Overall good upgrade but going for native will always be better. 1440p monitor btw.
My browser needed a complete restart after changing quality settings to actually get it to update. The difference in power usage is very large on my 3080 using quality 1 vs 4, you cannot simply look at task manager for % usage, something like msi afterburner can show what clockspeeds you're running as well as power usage or hwinfo. Personally I wouldn't go above 1 or 2 quality level especially if planning to play games at the same time if I'm already GPU bound then having the video enhancement using up GPU resources on the side at the cost of framerates isn't great.

У друзей ноутбуки с графикой амд там всё шикарно миллион настроек даже на старых, там опция гладкое видео доступна на ноутбуке 2015г выпуска. Эффект улучшения такой же. За видео 👍
I tried this option on my 4070Ti. It works, but the power consumption of GPU jumped up to 170W from normal 20. I do not need the increased video quality for that price.

Why GeForce Experience checks only for Studio driver? If I install Game Ready driver manually, I haven't video settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. My GPU is RTX 3060 Ti
1's as some of sudoku cell possibilities logic might lead to np time to find the full and higher approximates for p time processing. So the whole world might work with a 20 giga watt quantum optic classical optic supercomputer finding more of this oracle range for lesser systems to fully optimize an ever more transistor compute cell for example and even if the c64 or Amiga couldn't process to full benefits it could greatly improve the heuristics allowing 3d shootem ups on c64's and quakiesh level graphics on an amiga 500 by 2038.
I don't notice anything, but I only have a 1080p monitor hooked up currently. Will it only work on 1440p or higher monitors??
u need videos in 360p or 720p for 1080p montior ..dont think there will be difference in normal 1080p videos and upscaled rtx sr scaled to 4 with 1080p videos in 1080 p monitor
This is actually incredible. Glad I have a card that can do it
i have a 2070 and i dont have it poping up in my control panel?
what if I enable upscaler setting, capture new video from browser, then play new video in browser with uspsale settings enabled and capture again. repeat 10 times. May I make 8k video quality from 360p ?
troublechute what window are you running on ur computer in the video ?
Which apps can even use vsr? I am trying to play video with VLC and its not working. Doesnt work with firefox either
I very much hope Opera GX is one of the future supported browsers.
The problem with it right now is it uses too much gpu power, produces more heat, and if you have a laptop then the fans will get to be annoying with this enabled. I have an Asus G18 with a RTX 4080 and it's not worth it to use this feature. I have to try it out on my gaming desktop to see if it works out better as it has a whole lot more cooling.
I have a 4070 with the latest drivers and i dont see half thosse options in control panel
Is there a way to record my gameplay at 1080p if I have the resolution set @ 1280x720 in nvidia image scaling settings? Everytime i record it records my footage at 1280x720 (which is being upscaled to 1080p) instead of the 1080p that my monitor is set at
Feel, when you see this video with RTX 4 quality upscale already and doesn't see difference between enable and disable :))
It works best for lower quality I believe 1080 in above you won't see much of an improvement
if i'd said now if this function using, we have to disable any dlss settings in a games, will i right with that? imean exactly dlaa settings in dlss options....
Thanks! But how can I increase FPS from 24 to 60 at least? What app is needed?
I tried this option on my 4070Ti. It works, but the power consumption of GPU jumped up to 170W from normal 20. I do not need the increased video quality for that price.
do i need to set chrome to y dedicated gpu? manually cuz i have a laptop with no optimus
does this not work with a laptop screen? Because it seems to always be inactive even though I have turned it on
is this for 30 series and up cards? i have a 2070 updated my drivers and its not there
20 series gang will get it later
20 serie will be adder later on atm only for 30/40 series
Lame.guess I need to stop being cheap
So really this removes issues from bad scaling rather than upscaling. i.e it doesnt make 720p 4k. It makes 720p have less artifacts due to scaling issues.
is there a way this could be used in IRL live streaming say streaming from a phone at 480p and some how upscale it with rtmp and obs?
thanks for the explanation :D!!
I did the whole tutorial and still see blurry in a 360p video... it's like it doesn't work for me.
4090, 13700k etc etc
I think you need to try it on videos that aren't scaled down, like old videos from VHS or DVD
i already tried it and holy fuck this is amazing
on what video? i dont notice any difference on anything, i got it on 4 ._o

Uncanny valley is only in your head. There is no frame generation so there is no space for AI fault. You cannot "break" image if only thing that you do is sharpening.
Very usefull for watching anime...
aw man it doesnt work on the hub :(
Hey man, How do you have a custom Logo instead of windows logo in your taskbar ?
Hello, I need some help with this.
Do you have any idea when would it b available for 20 series cards? They said that 20 series will have this feature following the driver v530 update, but mine is at 351 and still don't see VSR in the NVIDIA control panel.
Any luck? Did you find a way to make it work?
@@JA_BRE nope. Not working with RTX 20 series cards. They will bring it sometime in the future, but as of now 29 series doesnt support VSR.
In every article it specifically mentioned that RTX 20 series will be suppirted after the driver version 530, but that's not the case.
I honestly didn't get any uncanny feel even from the faces. This is quite impressive
will this ever be coming to the 20 series I have a 2080ti and my card can run circles around the 3060 but I still dont have this feature
sadly probably not. same reason why they won’t allow resizable BAR they just want you to buy a new GPU
Idk if vsr is working for me but I don't really notice that much of a difference when I toggle it on how do I make sure it is actually working?
does vrs work for the rtx 2070 ?
im wodering i have the newest driver but i dint have the setting vrs
The biggest experience IMHO is with ANIME videos, quality from 1080p to 1440p is amazing.
And the crazy power consumption on preset "4" I have the card at 100% and at full power of 170 watts on my RTX3060! Thanks Nvidia don't need that.
I like it, it can't work miracles, but it works surprisingly well. Also, wtf is up with uncanny valley? You say it a couple times I can see, but you repeated it over and over 😆
can laptop with RTX supported ? because i cant see other settings like "display and video" settings on the nvdia control panel
What should i do, if i don't have that 'Video' segment in nvidia control panel?
