Thanks for uploading bhagwans blessing for lots more bhajans and biraha's really enjoyed listening to Uncle Sam. Reminds me of my loving parents taking us to batwaan night and classical shows @ Reinzi and the mall's auditorium in Chaguanas to see him perform on stage.

hi there! these lyrics are not 100% my grandmother knows this biraha very well and i can help in the correct lyrics and translation. for instance: Toor toor nimbua bhejawe sasurari ohi nimbu leke banawe tarkari (lakshman breaks limes and sends them to his in-laws they take the limes and make tarkari or curry)

    • @Ramkabharosa

Hi Navin-bhai, thanks for the corrections. I am aware that the lyrics that I write down are not 100% correct - because I don't know Bhojpuri plus I don't hear so well. That's why there are always some question marks in the lyrics. I just try to quickly write down as best as I can, the way the words sound so that my West Indian friends have an idea what is being sung - and I move on. If someone corrects me, I don't mind.
You have my permission to copy and paste the lyrics above in your comments and make whatever corrections you deem appropriate and I am sure that everyone would appreciate your full translation. I don't have the time these days to give translations (I usually do so only when I am more than 90% sure of the lyrics) - because I get too many requests for lyrics. I try my best - but I know that it is not good enough. Thanks again for the corrections.

thanks for clearing that! you are aware of the mannerisms of ancient bhojpuri and do a wonderful job in writing lyrics and translations! as some of these ancient bhojpuri terms are not used anymore (naihar, mahraruwa) its very difficult for someone to translate (i sometimes can't translate some!) you are doing us all a favour! hamaar-sub ohr se eeh dhanyawaad swikaar kijo. seeta-ram
