This is classic old school. Folks used to repair things to keep them going. They would even "hard face" bars with a special welding rod & acetylene torch to rebuild the hard nose bar tip & worn down bar rails. Now, everything is disposable.
How much ya want for that machine, ha! Not nearly as cool, but a metal cut off blade chucked up in a tablesaw works for removing any burrs and for grinding the edge square. Might be a good idea to first take the sawdust out of the bottom of the tablesaw to not burn your shop down.
i have a disc sander machine with a table that would do the same basic thing . for that matter you put a bar in a bench vice and grind the rails flat by hand , ive done it .
I love the hammer part of this! This is an awesome looking machine!

I love that machine!
I cannot find anyone that can do that repair, they all tell me to buy a new bar!
You can do the repair yourself, there are plenty of videos showing how to. And I would love to have this machine.
Awesome machine you have there....
Pretty cool! Great video
Wow, didn't expect they fix bars instead of throwing them away back in the day..
Thank you ,I was having trouble with my ms441 magnum bar and this saved the day
awesome
Those things are great for the large bars. They frequently get damaged before they wear out.
What a great set up, I want one
yeah it's old school and still works great. gotta love it.
marvellous ❤
I’ve got the same one at my shop.
Most shops wouldn't mess with a bar , just want to sell anew bar and tell me it's a liability
Very cool!
Salve, e se la lama è storta di lato si può raddrizzare?
Nice video!
thank you sir
@@Redbull661 I had one of those, but ended up selling it to a guy on a chainsaw forum.
That's awesome.
What about the depth of the guide bar, wouldn't it become shallow for the chain?
Watch until the end. There is a grinder wheel that fixes that issue.
I like to draw file by hand with a stihl flat file
Is that treemonkey?
I want that machine
Pretty nifty neato keeno right there.
