      Think about it this way; life itself is violent. The blue wall was built to protect the under-average person and people who we love from the daily life of violence that exists.

    Emotional art about past realities only leads to present self-perpetuation which is imagery of a subject that becomes the problem that stays with us and not the solution that should eradicate it. In other words we don’t need anymore songs or videos like this, we have enough.

    • @justmyopinion1098
      @justmyopinion1098 5 лет назад +2

      LEON Forget that bruh, lyrical rap (even in the 90’s) has never been *mainstream* sure it’s really popular but never *mainstream*
      Hot 100 (while it does have some good songs) has never represented quality music
      In order to get a hit on the Hot 100 the song gotta have millions of dollars of promotion, have a pop-ish sound/accessible sound, also have to realize top 10 hits break the language barrier and can be listened to by every age group... Are there mainstream lyrical rappers? Yeah, but the songs they have as hits are usually easy to recite by everyone
      This is why Hotline Bling is so huge and Accordion isn’t a top 10 hit
      Don’t get me wrong Accordion is a really really popular song among hardcore hip hop heads, but the lyrics won’t be understood by non English speakers, kids, and casual rap fans (which dominate the US)
