I am back home in New Jersey for the first time in 3 months and I am stopping by my bike shop to check on everything and say hi to my friends! Also Brooklyn finally got his very rare, very light and very expensive titanium BMX bike built up and the bike is amazing! He is building the lightest bike possible and I was shocked to see just how light he got it to! He wants to build the lightest BMX bike ever!

@@matthubbard904 yeah yeah, i knew they were expensive.. But that's some serious dedication to spend that much, 10 lbs is a lot on a bike. I used to ride an S&M, i wouldn't b surprised if it takes him a while to get used to that thing. It's gonna b like riding a feather. I bet it's gonna b so easy to spin n toss around.

Don't you dare powdercoat Ti! Electro anodize or use a propane or MAPP torch to Flame anodize it. Just clean it well with windex first
Powdercoating adds a little weight too, a layer of Titanium oxide does not. And flame anodizing is very durable with no chipping.

LairdFrame is the best frames you can get!! My LF bike isnt the Ti but the bike still only weighs 22lbs and I'm running alex triple wall wheels, a 14mm front axle, and forks from 2004.
For the rest of us who r using the metric system, thats like 7.7 kilograms :)

gees my beer cruiser weighs in the 30s plus i plan on an engine kit. will end up over 50 lbs and i have to carry it upstairs. i cant afford no titanium frame. think im cutting seat post n bars down. def checking out site. i may need beefier spokes or wheels.🍻

And here back in the mid 90's my Standard Lengthy weighed in at 38 ish pounds and I was happy with that. Also, hoppin onto picnic tables wasn't that big of a deal back then, if who ever reads this :)

That is absolutely insane how light that is, I literally just bought new parts for my subrosa, and now im a little upset i didnt know your online store, So that being said, im gonna go look at your store and see if I can at least find something there to buy and support you guys even though my bike if fully complete right now... although I may upgrade my tires, I want red tires that are 110psi right now there black tires, so hopefully you have red 110psi

I was thinking the same thing. My carbon trek is 16.3lbs. I know BMX bikes take a beating but roads bikes are bigger and a lot more to them. Seems like bmx's could be made lighter.

Two bikes I got to pick up at The Winter Welcome Jam was a 18 year old 37lbs T-1 Barcode and then this bike. What a difference haha
Flatland riders been rockin presta tubes for a while now. We max our pressures out in our tires and the cheap quality tubes of today often blow at the valve base. Presta tubes steel valves tend to hold up much better. Flat riders have also been known to dip sub 20lbs on their bikes even with 4130 frames. To be fair tho, most flat frames are an inch or two shorter than most conventional bmx frames.
Personally I like a heavier bike. Feels less twitchy to me. That and having peace of mind my bike isn't going to blow apart cuz I'm not exactly light. My bike is around 27 and I'm pushing 300. lol
