Lol, why are there so many fearful comments? As far as I can tell, the suspension is doing its job, you are fully geared, you're not riding in and out of traffic and beating the red lights like the New Yorkers, the roads are wide and in good condition, I'd say just let it rip! Not sure about the cape though because it catches wind. I like to dress sleek when I ride fast, unless I'm wearing a dress, in which case I'll go slow. :) Great ride!
At this point its just part of my daily routine. If the weather is good my car stays home and i do an easy 40 miles on my v13 instead. I can't recommend it enough. Its a vehicle but it feels like part of your body.
@@whatswheelygood Are there any downsides to it? Obviously lack of storage space, and can’t bring passengers, but are there any quirks or cons to using one of those that most people wouldn’t think about?
@@bosthebozo5273 keep in mind you don't need to do 40 like i do. You can ride it just like a bicycle and not ever have a sore butt or wrists. Its just like a car. Nobody makes you go 120.
I've definitely clacked my jaw on a couple potholes I didn't see but most folks on these have 3-4" of suspension travel to dampen any major bumps. Personally I have been commuting with the suspension delete kit for about 3000 miles now and bumps have been a nonissue. Our roads around here are mostly pretty good and the big soft tire absorbs a lot of the rough stuff too. As it is I can comfortably hit a speedbump at 35 mph.
Watching your whole body bounce when you go over tiny almost unsee-able bumps has cemented that I would never dare go that fast on one of those things.
Even if you never go faster than 10 mph an euc is an incredible way to get around. You could do 100 miles on my euc at those speed and putt along all day long without a care in the world.
Id be wearing body armour bro, even at low speed, skin is still precious olol, this one time, my nipple was hanging by naught but a flap, and ground down a little patch of my ribs....... very ballzy, I want one!
My worst fear riding EUC in traffic is small pebble hitting me in the face kicked up by spinning wheel of a car in front of me. Which happened to me a few times while driving.
In this video I am mostly going 35-45 mph. I am currently exploring speed overlay options for videos but here be dragons tbh. I miss my old method with garmin virb edit but it got broken earlier this year.
I had the same thought so I actually have my pads spaced quite loose. The only time I lock into them is when I lift up my heel during high speeds but there is a lot of play in there in case anything bad happens for this exact reason.

@@whatswheelygood I like that answer but why not just wear brighter colored gear and/or brighter or more reflective surfaces on the wheel ? Even a paint job
@@Hermes8A8A i was originally wearing a class 3 reflective vest but i wanted to add a little flair to it. That thing is insane!!!! And that cape is the perfect touch. You're literally the main character.
And the best part is that since January I've saved almost 700 dollars in gas commuting on it instead of driving. The range is nuts.

Cool video. How long you been riding?
Bout 3 years and 7000ish miles so far.
That's nuts, I would never. One thing goes wrong and gg man. Imagine skidding into the other lane and a car or truck splits you in half. Stay safe
