    Sir, in step 4 , Zp is plastic section modulii , but you substituted area of flange (440×36) , can you explain how and why?

      Zp is nothing but plastic section modulii of the cross section. But in our question Only load and span is given that’s why I assumed all the values. So there is no selected section like ISMB,ISHB etc that’s why I took it as the area of the cross section I mean like rectangular area LxB.

    In previous problem you have taken n2=2.5*tf but hear why n2=2*2.5*tf?

      In previous problem I am not providing stiffeners, but in this problem I’m providing stiffeners to the web on both sides. so, I multiplied 2.5*2
