As the game progresses, 5* will become like 4*s and 6*s will be the new meta. It is always better to get a 6*, especially if he doesn't need the dupe
Three years later Doom is still the top mystic champ. I doubt anyone can outperform Doom both now and in the future. I got 6* Doom last December 2022 from an Abyss Mystic Nexus crystal.
