Man! I'm in Florida now and this year I'm sure the JSU/Alcorn game will be one to remember. But thanks to youtube as a proud Alumni I still get to enjoy the best band period and show Duval County what a real HBCU band is all about. Keep it up JSU! Good Glad she 's gone. I'm not saying she is not great! but she took away from the masculinity of the Drum Majors it was so distracting. Just because you can do it, because women always impose themselves into men's activity doesn't mean you should. When the fem ass boys trying to be women want to put on tights and heels dance in the bleachers with them girls the organization is not having it but they shouldn't either do it either. Men don't want to see that school dance teams was created for the guys entertainment. It sounds sexiest but it is what it is.

I'm liking the new squad it's just that get ready routine has a couple of dry moments that could use some spice in them. Other than that, I like the squad. Looks clean, and I can tell y'all introducing new techniques and moves and I like that. Really sets apart from the classic J5 pinwheel. Keep it up!! 🔥🔥

I always wanted to know what the main role for the drum major is on show style bands. I march corps style. Do they Keep the tempo or are they like a figure head in the band?

Right like you can keep the camera on dance team and dm, but at least walk back and fourth one time so we can see the drumline and other sections 😤
I understand that but others in the band should be seen also. Aren't they one sound?! So let them get equal time in front the camera.
A Jackson Yea and nay. As a bandsmen you get use to the auxiliary being the focal point because that’s why they are there. During field shows you will see the full band because of the drills, but in the stands or concert formation, the auxiliary will get the close ups. Think of a musical you only hear the music, but see the visual (dancers and/or actors).
