As long as Mickey is back for the new season it’s still salvageable. As soon as Mickey is gone again and with Fiona being gone the episodes will die out.

Man this dude is such a top tier actor. To be able to play the picture perfect father in Pleasantville to the complete opposite and have both believable is amazing. He deserves to be looked at like ppl do with johnny depps status as to how hes looked at as an actor. William, i see ya bro
The fact that Emmy Rossum has not even been nominated for an Emmy for her brilliant work in Shameless is shameful! She is absolutely perfect in it and the heart of the show! They are all great and the always excellent William H Macey deserved all the accolades and awards he received but she should have been nominated and won by now
It should end with Season 10. Good even number. Some of the kids eventually have ti make something of themselves before Frank dies. And if they leave one by one and the script tries to force in new leads that are subpar it will tank the potential of just wrapping with a solid season. Sadly its one of those situations where if Frank died, I feel like the family would all be at peace, and go their separate ways finally. Fiona was a big loss, but it was written very well. No bitterness or distaste in how her character was treated in the end. And with that money, it would be a good beginning if at the end they all leave Chicago and get out finally and go on with their lives.
Honestly they've stretched the show out so badly, that I don't even feel sad about the character leaving. Feels like it should have ended 2 seasons ago. Problem is how any of the characters can't become financially stable or successful in their field because then they won't be poor. So they've sabotaged everything Fiona ever did, they sabotaged Lip's college. And after a point it feels exhausting to see.
As it turned out, without her there was no show, that's exactly why they should of given her equal pay (he went to bat for her getting equal pay also), she was the lead role, and in a show with so many strong characters that is saying something.
Mr. Macy handle this interview very well. He was classy and tactful about the subject. Unlike his costar who played Debbie in the series and she was intent on throwing Emmy under the bus by saying only bad things about her. She didn't realize it only made her look bad and jealous of Emmy. The truth is the writers did not handle Fiona's departure well. The last two seasons I kept watching waiting to see or hear anything about Fiona. There was nothing. They could have handled it by having a an article in the paper or in a magazine or anything with news of her great success. They could explain the lack of phone calls by saying she felt too close to her family and a phone call would make her want to come back. But no there was nothing. I would not have watched the last two seasons had I known there would never be anything about Fiona again. I know the rest of the cast did they're very best. but the truth is they did not take up the slack from Fiona . They did their thing. But the show was missing Fiona.
I think it would of been dope for the writers to do a couple of episodes of her singing somewhere thinking she was alone and some guy/girl overheard her lovely voice and got to know fiona more and offered her to go travel and sing with him/her and the Gallagher family telling her to take it and that be her exit, everyone giving their goodbyes.

Oh hey I recognize that dude.. he was in Jurassic Park 3.. 😮
Gonna miss you Fiona ♥️
Y’all sold the bag 😭
I imagine it's weird to work with that many people for that long, and you all become real close, and then one of the leads isn't there with all of you anymore. I don't have Showtime, so I haven't seen any of the newest episodes, without Emmy. I can't really understand why she wanted to leave the show. With the money she was making each episode, and the HUGE audience the show has. She was getting paid a LOT of money. That whole cast, and crew are like family. I'd much rather keep working with the people I'm comfortable with, while at the same time, making a shit load of money. I've watched all the seasons that are on Netflix, twice in the past, and am re-watching them again right now. It'll be weird to see the show without Fiona.
Showing off his incredible acting because it's well known that they all hated her including William h.
