Thank you Lord for your Spirit to lead to all truth and what my heart needed to hear. Jesus Christ our hearts physician. Thank you for the loving truth of your loving Word that cuts between soul and spirit for healing. Amen 🙏 Glory to you.
Praise God for restoring the soul unto His people! I bind to hell every desire to cover the soul or posssessions of another while binding one to control and possess one's own soul and possessions well in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents, the children I teach and the body of Christ while binding to hell every desire to lose one's soul, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone desiring to cover the soul of another while lacking desire to control and possess one's own soul and possessions well while desiring to lose one's soul, in accordance with this word and 1 timothy 6:6, proverbs 25:28, exodus 20:17, mark 8:36, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!
I'm so in love with this kind of teaching ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing 😁 and God bless you and enable you to flee from covetousness, and covet a new heart, faith, love, and good deeds!! Covet an intimate relationship with God
This man is holy. His carefully-curated poses reveal a deeply spiritual man. He is without sin. Beatific. Consecrated. Devoted. Beyond the criticisms of the common man.
I think from John pipers own mouth he would say. “I am the chief of sinners” Also “Not unto us oh lord but unto you be the glory.” And “it is not I that live but Christ in me”
Lol... you gotta be kidding. I love and appreciate my brother John Piper. I have often thanked the Lord for the gift that he is to me/us. But without sin, beatific...? Nah! Your expression treads in the very idolatry he addresses in this sermon.
This guy's analysis is SOOO SPOT ON, it's scary! He nails every reason this genre is dying a terrible death!it could have lasted longer but every reason he gave ensured an early death! The Superhero is dead........long live the Superhero!
Is it so wrong to have nice clothes or to enjoy good food? My thinking is that it's possible to use the things of this world without abusing them, Paul wrote that in one of his letters and I'm inclined to think that we have the freedom to have nice things without making them idols. Unless you take a vow of poverty, as monks do, and you want to totally forsake any sort of material goods, then go for it. But I trurly believe that God wants us to find pleasure in the goodness that he created us to find satisfaction in.
I don't disagree: God wants us to find pleasure in what He provides for us, and to be thankful. But He doesn't want us to go after THINGS, expecting them to bring us satisfaction. He wants us to find our contentment IN HIM. > It's a question of the heart. > Here's a test: If God says NO to some THING you want, are you angry at Him for (supposedly) denying you being happy or satisfied? OR Does your RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM mean MOST (more than anything else) in your life?
If God is my main focus and I wish to make money is that wrong? Because I feel like preachers are always preaching us into poverty yet God made soo many decent men rich. Like Job or Abraham
Having money isn’t wrong, but the love of money is. If you notice, the rich men in the Bible like Abraham, Job, and Solomon didn’t seek wealth; they sought God, and God blessed them.
@@AndYouSir- you can’t attain without seeking it tho? Abraham made wealth because he did consultancy and made powerful partnerships which God ordained. If you decide you’re going to work at Walmart for the rest of your life whilst being a devout Jesus follower I am certain you won’t attain wealth
In "seeking" jobs to obtain wealth if we have the heart of a servant. "I want wealth so other look at me and are impressed" and "I want to strive to do well in my job to glorify God, and with the money I earn from the gift of this Job that God gave me, glorify Him further by giving back to His people" are two different motives in "getting wealth". God doesn't tell us all to quit our jobs, as those jobs can be used to glorify Him. The danger is when someone starts to see the job as what is giving them money, and worshipping it, instead of giving the credit to God that He is due. Does that make sense?
desiring en wanting a good family wealth en wealth is GOOD except dont make it an idol ore dont be mad at THE LORD when you dont get it since we not promised health en wealth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maby God is saying something to you. Be careful to hear that still small voice. Maby having a dog might draw your heart away from God, because we can get so immotionally attached. Pray for guidance. Ask God what He would have you do. God bless you!!❤

Yep! They will go to hell! As Jesus said "I never knew you.". And no amount of asking for forgiveness will change that. Because coveting is a willful act. A willful and knowing act of evil.
