When I tell people that my absolute favorite show of all time is a show from the 70's where it's about people that work on one floor of a department store, they look at me like I'm nuts. Their loss! If I had to choose just one show to watch forever, this would be it.. and I am unanimous in that!
I am a 33 year old from South America - once British Guyana now a resident of NYC. I have been watching these Brit videos and comedies for over 10 years and when I mention them to folks they find me strange… until I show an episode:).
I love this show. My favorite characters are Mr. Humphries and Mr. Lucas. Both John Inman and Trevor Bannister worked really well together in this series.
The modern world can learn a lot from Mr. Lucas and Mr. Humpries' friendship. They were partners in crime until the end.

I love when Mr Harmon patted Mr Humphries bum. "You wait till you're asked!"
Some of the mechanical props they came up with for this show were just genius.
RIP to the most awesome cast in the history of British Television ;(
Mr. Lucas is drooling over the belly dancer. Mr. Humphreys....You know...I have some curtains that color! Lol 😆
Oh Mr.Lucas....as a junior, you're not allowed to have the tape measure around the neck, thats just for the senior...😅
PEACOCK: Just remember Mrs. Slocombe, to relax and let your body go.
"I strained my back carrying Mrs. Slocum."
always baffled by how rumbold has attained and maintains the level of management he has

Mrs. Slocombe was so funny.
Great bit of ad-libbing by Arthur English during the dummy scene when he fluffed his line.
"Man may touch woman."

It' s almost impossible to believe they're all gone...they will keep us laughing...
that look Mr. Lucas gives when he's asked if he wants to rescue Mrs. Slocombe is hilarious!
When Lucas picked up Mrs. Slocombe with that chair - it was hysterical!
"One for them and one for us..." Knife comes out... "All for them, and none for us." LOL...funny!
