- Whew, finally joined the sub 5 TA club
Thank you to Ginger/Jee, Harper, Aji, and LabuLar for inspiring me to really clean up my play with those armorless runs! Was a lot of fun!!
Also thank you to my Sns friends Mill/Gainer, Syn, COne, Nora, jkaran (I still remember that run :eyes:), Andy (I remember that run too :eyes:), IoQuirk, Flan, Dru, Kino, Coldharbour, Omnox and many others for practicing AT Velk with me!
Nothing like improving at a fight through the chaos and randomness of multiplayer and SOS flares ;)

I think breaking the head as early as you can is really important in this fight. The HZV becomes better and the 2nd hit of PR 3 can hit for 700+ (1750+ as trip damage) before Velk goes into aura level 2
If you get a topple while it's head is broken at aura level 1, your dps soars and you can cause a clagger right after even if your Frostcraft gauge is a bit depleted
I think that if you don't get a topple before aura level 2, the run is pretty much dead at that point. The HZV is worse at aura level 2, so you lose out on damage if you topple then
3:55
I find doing early slinger burst on ice walls to be a lot easier on small crown Velk
If you're fighting a large crown one, it moves a lot farther away, so you tend to end up at the edge of the hitboxes instead of passed them
4:00
The HZV at the tip (or inside?) of Velk's mouth is also apparently different than the rest of the head, and the third hit of PR 1 can hit it at this angle here on small crown Velk for 700+ (800+ with purple sharpness)
I think this fight could get kinda crazy clear times if there is a way to consistently hit that sweetspot on other punishes too
4:20
Lowkey kinda glad there wasn't a clagger immediately after the last topple, otherwise Velk would have flinched in the air
If I had done another timed PR 2 instead of untimed, Velk would have flinched
4:49
Made a mistake and misjudged the distance Velk travelled by a lot ^^; thought Velk would stop running under the rocks
Should have just done a regular backstep into PR this close up or aimed slinger burst at the head like earlier

Congrats on the sub 5!!!
Thank you! 😉Couldn't have done it without that punish you discovered
Beautiful hunt Celeste!
You did it!
🌼Usually the music complements the hunt, but this was the other way round
Nicely done

so how do you get AT velk to never short charge?
The charges are rng
@@Celeste_MH thanks for responding like a year after you posted this. been trying to get a decent time myself and your videos have been very helpful
@Celeste_MH I have another question for you if you don't mind. The falling bash punish on the triple stab. how do you know she won't go for an aerial tail stab for the final third and will go for a regular tail stab or a circular drag?
@@Dontreadthis0 For the triple tail stab, it's best to wait for the 2nd stab first and then react to it. If it does the regular stab, then do falling bash
@@Celeste_MH just wanted to say thanks to your videos(and a few other players) i got a 6 minute time. it wasnt TA wiki rules but still proud of it and thanks for responding to my questions in both your runs.
