It’s about time they also put the lift angle on clubs. It’s all very well saying this club hits it miles when you look and find it’s almost two club difference in loft.
The other issue is as you move into the shorter irons the gapping gets larger. In some clubs it can be 6 deg between the 9 and the PW

I agree with you there! Always try to point that out. Another issue is a 5-SW set now means the 5 iron is like 21/22. And the PW is usually 41/40 ish so the SW is 56!!! Huge gap. I am trying to persuade a guy I fitted last week his irons shud start at 6 iron! ⛳️

Why doesn’t anyone do a real comparison. I submit that if you compare a G440 6 iron (25 degrees) to a Ping Eye 2 4 iron (25 degree). Going head to head (more or less) get the same distance from my Eye2s as from my 430s using the same loft. Granted the difference is off center hits.

I like it! I may try that. It would be interesting as the companies do say it’s the launch, which I still can’t get my head round cos as you say the loft number is just a number. I may try and do that
