20-30 yards could be difference between a fearless 7iron and a fearful 4iron

Most holes don’t even require 3 wood. I don’t want to be much closer than 140 so I hit more hybrids than woods. If the par 5 isn’t reachable in 2 then don’t hit driver there either.

Completely wrong. The further you hit your irons the more it will spin. If person A hits a 7 iron 140 yards And person B hits a 7iron 190 yards Both 7 irons are exactly the same loft. Faster swing speed produces more distance. Faster swingspeeds produce more spin. Person B's spin rate will be significantly higher this is literally simple physics most school children could get their head around. Person B's biggest problem is going to be a ball that spins to much bacwards and off the front of the green and or has zero roll out and also to high of an apex. This can be reduced by making lofts stronger and making shafts stiffer. The shaft option is best for reducing spin without changing the loft of the clubs virtually just making your 7 a 6 iron. Danm, theres so many people on youtube and tiktok putting up videos with almost certain confidence they think they know what they are on about and potentially misinforming 100s of people. If your not 100% sure about what your poating dont post. It's all about views, views and more views. Focus on quality not quantity.
