A thing a just think: In the nordic myth of Ragnarok Loki destiny is being the figure that bring chaotic destruction, sylvie is the most loki of loki's
Loki was just bad. Like 2 days beofre the events of the series loki is fighting hand in hand with thor and he has killed millions of people and in the series a cop can just beat him. Loki is a god how can a mortal beat him? Also his character development is crazy. We have loki from avengers I and in a couple of days he becomes the good guy. Just bad writing.
Loki is the supreme narcasist. Of course, the only being a Loki could genuinely care about is another Loki. Stands to reason that a Loki's worst enemy would also be a Loki. He's the best at being the worst, regardless of multiversal origin.
Both of them hurt pretty bad, but Mobius getting pruned made me so upset that I went on a tangent to my parents when the episode ended, going on about how I knew he was *probably* fine, but still sad he got hurt in any way
The Miss Minutes animation essentially kinda me go from "like this show" to "really like this show". And Tara Strong doing the voice certainly did not hurt.
The only criticism I have for the show is that they seem to forget that Lokis have super strength. Like, I was confused why Loki had a hard time fighting the humans Sylvie enchanted, or why Sylvie’s fight with the judge lasted more than 5 seconds.
Yeah, I had quite a few criticisms of the show from Loki and Sylvie’s characterization, pacing, info dumps, etc. it just hit wrong. I didn’t hate it but there was definitely room for improvement.
@@ComicDrake You're welcome! Honestly each line of the shirt is better than the last; plus I looked up the design and just knowing the bottom reads "wanna fight" in rainbow lettering is just chef's kiss
I didn’t care for the selfcest that much , I agree with you, it’s two different entities. My issue was the unnecessary romance like… why. Bc one is a man and one is a female then the only way to generate enough emotional conflict is by making their caring for one another romantic?? I hate that.
@@danielz-v4083 oh I’m sorry you thought so, I had fun watching the characters. The rest of the story was really dragging but not as much as to spoil the rest for me. Did you liked WandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier better?
You and Loki having existential dread Us the audience are gonna see some Multiversal shenanigans in What If...? And more Doctor Strange: Why did I have to look at my goddamn phone while driving...
Dr. Strange: I could’ve just retired…I could’ve stayed at home and watched Netflix all day…they literally kicked me out when I first got there, why am I so goddamn stubborn!
Dr. Strange: “you know Wong I think you did such a great job when I was away. I think you should handl- Wong where did you go” *cut to Wong fighting abomination* Wong: “this is for my tuna melt”
it just left me very concerned for the future of these characters. like, the timelines and the possibility of other marvel characters showing up in the tva, the future is so uncertain to us but we know that marvel has a very specific plan and none of us, not even the actors, know what it is. the best we can do is hope for the best for our favs and who knows maybe some people who retired from marvel will return
Probably hiring different actors for the characters for less money also multiplying the shows/movies with several time-lines I'd say it's Disney, everything goes
I’m still not over them having a throwaway line on a piece of paper saying loki is genderfluid to try and get diversity points... only to then have Sylvie be the only female loki, and the idea of a female loki make the variants he meets respond “sounds terrifying”. Like, if you’re genderfluid why is the idea of u being female somehow more daunting than being AN ALLIGATOR
Amanda, Look away! .... ... .. . I half imagine a situation "Hi, I'm Loki, This is my wife, Loki, and these are our children, Loki, Loki and Loki". And the Horse? "Oh, That's my Daughter from a prior relationship" But maybe the implications are a bit much to contemplate.
Wasn't there that weird Loki is bi confirmation too? Also such a missed opportunity. And the message is kind of weird with the " Loki is gender fluid and bi but ends up with the only female Loki regardless" I mean what's the point of the information then? They could have done so many interesting things with that character. I can't help it,I feel robbed. I loved alligator loki though.
Ngl I didn't take it as a diversity thing. Loki in the original mythology was very much fluid in the identities he took, so I figured it was just a nod to that.
I liked Loki until episode 3. Then I was bored and waited for the rest to come out so I could just use it as background noise. And the. Episode 4 was actually so good. I loved it. 5 was also great. I didn’t love the finale, but that’s fine. I also was super not into Loki and Sylvie starting to develop romantic feelings for each other. It felt super weird to me. I would have loved to see them go the familial/sibling relationship route. Loki’s relationship with Thor is one of my favorite parts of the MCU, and having Thor absent would have been a great opportunity. I also just think Loki is a better character when he’s not romantically attached to anyone. But that’s purely a personal preference.
I almost said "I can't believe he's D. B. Cooper!" at the same time with Owen Wilson at the end of the D.B Cooper scene. It's an 'easy' way to explain that mystery that I never thought would happen until it did, but it made a fun little easter egg (I guess it's not an easter egg if it's not hidden but Idk) still!
*Dr Strange in Multiverse of Madness:* LOKI YOU DONE FCKED IT UP! *Loki:* one who the hell are you? Two TECHNICALLY it wasnt ME but- *Dr Strange:* hey hey none of that shit. You screwed it up you help me fix it. *Wanda:* 😳🤐
@@frenchloverstalker remember the Loki in the TV show started his nexus event after the first Avengers. He never experienced any of it and was only told about some of it by Mobius in Episode 1. it was future Loki Varient that would remember falling
Ok I know this is about Loki but a soap business that makes star wars themed soaps where the Light side themed soaps are soothing soaps and the dark side themed soaps are exfoliating soaps is just... Genius
I think that what annoyed me the most is the "self love" through the selfcest romance, for me it's just a lazy way to "evolve" Loki, and if Sylvie is "her own person", if she's so "different", Loki is not actually learning self love at all lol, idk he just got dumb, weak and changed his personality in one episode to another The show was great, as a tva, Kang, Sylvie show, but not Lokis, he just seems like a tool for the multiverse, he wasn't the main character at all I didn't actually had any expectations for this show, but i gotta say that the first two episodes were masterpieces, the direction, the story, the acting and the soundtrack were just *chef kiss*, but after episode 3 it got weaker The finale was just boring (that fight between Loki and Sylvie had no tension at all, they knew each other for only 2/3 days and seen Loki saying "after all this time you don't trust me?" It's just funny at least lol) but i really liked Kangs character! His presence was everything
I agree with this a lot. Loki was a side character in his own show. And he was constantly nerfed and stupidified so Sylvie could look better. I stopped watching when I discovered that the Loki-Sylvie romance was a thing. Not only it's making me uncomfortable (and I wonder whether it would make more people uncomfortable as well if Sylvie had also black hair and looked like Loki) but it also felt very cheap. In one breath they will tell you that it's self-love and also that they are different people so it's not a selfcest. Eating the cake and having it whole with no consequences.
@@materla4102 yes! I'm not even a huge Loki fan, but episode 1 and 2 got me so invested in his character, seeing him being able to see his life, his reaction when he saw that him and Thor were together in Thor Ragnarok made me cry so much, I wanted to see MORE, Sylvie is also such a interesting character! But when they had "that moment" in episode 3 I was like "that was weird, why are they looking at each other like that????" It would be so much better if they had a platonic relationship, acting like twins and being a chaotic duo (imagine Sylvie asking Loki about Thor? If he was ok and everything? It would be so emotional) The fact that they decided to go with the most predictable thing that is the romance was such a let down for the show, it's so shallow and it didn't had the proper time to develop their relationship to be even believable that they would "fall in love" in 3 days lol, (it's also really weird, I got really uncomfortable) And the "Loki is learning to care about other people" doesn't make sense, Loki cared about other people before, he cared about Odin and Thor for example, but the fact that it's in *his nature* to betrayal and lie when he can get something out of it, makes it seems like wasn't capable of such thing, but he is! The show was so good at the beginning bringing this topic about "what is a Loki? What makes a Loki?" But that question was never answered, because by episode 4 everything switched and it was only about finding out who was behind the TVA and that's it, I couldn't even get that hyped for the multiverse because the finale was so weak! I didn't care about Loki at all at the end, and the Sylvie betrayal was also predictable, it didn't had that *surprise* element, at the end all that we can say is "wow the multiverse is open" and that's it I'm really afraid for the other Marvel projects, because it seems like they really don't care about the character development, just the plot for the universe to move on, for me the best series by far is wandavision, it was about Wanda and only Wanda, I don't care that "nothing happened to move the MCU" I want to care about these characters before seeing them fight together to save the world/universe I can't wait to see Wanda in the future, can't say the same about *this* Loki tho
@@somebody_else8243 I probably went in with the very opposite mindset: I love Loki and I was really looking forward toward this show. I especially hoped for some chaotic timey wimey space cop duo with Mobius. I would love to watch the two of them just outplaying outsmarting each other. I loved the first few episodes but when it became a romance I just... stopped. I didn't care enough. And I'm even more dissapointed in that especially because I always liked Loki. I still haven't seen Wandavision but I'm planning to.
I disagree with Loki being less emotionally resonant. It just depends on what resonates with you. That said, I loved Wandavision, Loki just felt more real to me.
This show already gave me everything I wanted from Loki as a character. Him finally opening up was amazing. And I've noticed something. We get to see pretty much any big male hero topless at least once somewhere in their films, but we never got shirtless Loki because he's a villain most of the time. What did they give us in episode 1 of Loki's own show? Yeah. Exactly.
I *LOVED* the version and portrayal of *__* we got in Loki and I'm *SUPER* curious and excited to see what that character is going to be like going forward.
I hope season 2 will still follow original Mobius and Hunter B-15 trying to find which timeline Loki was sent to! At least it appears Loki was sent to an alternate timeline.
What I like about this show is that basically every character is Thor from Thor: Ragnarok, they all understand exactly who Loki is and how he acts, so just like in that movie it forces him to reflect on who he is and grow as a person.
Btw, in case you didn't catch it, before she exits Rennslayer says she's going in search of free will, which is a reference to earlier in that scene where she says "Only one person gets free will, the one in charge." So yes, she's definitely going after Kang.
in the montage in episode 2 of other lokis that the TVA had dealt with one of them is in blue looking like his base frost giant form so you'd think the writers/producers knew that. Hiddleston himself gave "loki lectures" and was an executive producer but still nope the rest of the show ignores it
@@domine2693 that would mean warm environments wouldn't support them. It's like taking a polar bear and placing them in Africa. Cause.. Again, the scene in Thor. If magic ice doesn't affect him, why would a cool breeze?
I had a lot of love for WandaVision, and I did still love Loki, and maybe I didn’t give it all the attention it deserved but I didn’t click with the story as much. The romance between Sylvie and Loki happened in 12 hours, and they’re both centuries old at least? It just felt unrealistic and weird. I enjoyed it, but I probably wouldn’t rewatch it before watching season 2.
I don't think Silvie is the same person as prime Loki. Loki is technically just a role played by whom ever was taken to Asgard by Odin back in the war against the Ice Giants. We don't even know if she is a progeny of Laufy. Odin could have taken any child with a connection to the throne of Jotenheim.
Her file at the TVA says "Sylvie Laufydottir" as in "daughter of Laufy". Another youtuber did a breakdown of all the easter eggs in the credits and that's where we see it at some point
I already had my determinism X chaos existential crisis about 2 years ago so it didnt hit me at all lol, but I know all too well how horrible it can feel. The realization physically felt like a bullet through the brain, and I was absolutely depressed for months. Glad to have...broken free...from it.
Okay, now that we are at minute 19, I maintain that Sylvie sent Loki to a random universe, at the same current "time and date" ( they are talking about ang wanting them to let the branches run) where he hasn't had a weeks partnership with Mobius and B-15. It makes me sad and excited at the same time.
Hey I’ve see a lot of recap and review stuff and I just want to say your videos are the best. Not only do you do deep dives but you also go back to cast and crew interviews and media history. You actually look for the what and the why. I can’t tell you how many mistakes I catch from RUclips channel that don’t bother to look back on the production of the stuff they are talking about. It people like you that actually care about the meaning of media that keep it alive. Stay awesome!
Fun fact: the moment he who remains says "we've crossed the threshold" syncs up perfectly with the moment that Wanda becomes the Scarlett witch in the Wandavision finale. Although the director of Loki said that was purely coincidental
I'm just gonna sit in my quiet, unpopular corner with FATWS being my favourite of the three shows, because while I find the whole big implications for the multiverse stuff interesting, the really gripping stories, for me personally, are the ones that show us the stakes for the mcu world as is on ground level.
Same here! I feel like a lot of people like wandavision more and tho I really enjoyed all three and love the magic and multiverse aspect TFATWS is by far my favorite
I think WandaVision is my favourite, but that's partly the emotion, partly the fun TV homages, and partly the experience of speculating what was going on week after week.
My ears have been fine-tuned to always recognize Tara Strongs voiceover a lifetime. It is 100% possible to experience a crush purely from someone’s voice because I absolutely had a crush on Tara Strong long before I knew how beautiful she was irl.
I really think at the end, I think there is more than one TVA, maybe there are different TVA's on different timelines, as He Who Remains mentioned his other variants. I like the idea of the other variants of him wanting power over the timeline and taking control in there universe.
That was my theory, too -- I can't imagine they'd show Mobius and B-15 rebelling only to totally wipe it away. I think Loki just got sent to the wrong one.
I can't help but think Kang is being short sighted when he said that the multiverse war was going to end everything. The multiverse means that everything and anything is happening all at once, including places never touched by it. It seems to me that the war was just a natural part of the evolution of multiverse until its inevitable entropy. Survival of the fittest and all that, who goes on to spawn more timelines with every decision made after the war. His certainty (and probably fear) of the End of Everything results in him stealing the freedom of every sentient creature that ever lived and making an army to carry out his mass genocide. Loki might be the scariest thing I ever seen.
You might be referring to Hickman's Avengers/ Secret Wars 2015. That was less of a Multiversal War and more of a natural disaster which caused a few skirmishes.
@@OverlyPositiveFanboy I'm referring to the multiverse war that seems to have already happened in the show LOKI, that ended with Kang/Immortus/The-One-Who-Remains creating the sacred timeline and the TVA
Loki: yes but this should be the Avengers at fault here because they went back in time. Ravona: yes but that was supposed to happen. Loki: ...But I wouldn't have been able to go back in time if they hadn't done that. Ravona: Ah but you weren't supposed to do that. Loki: So you reset the timeline where I went off the rails? Ravona: yes. Loki: So you let them take the tesseract successfully from that point in time since I did not? Ravona: No they're supposed to go further back in time and get it from an earlier point. Loki: Because I took it. Ravona: yes. Loki: So...I would have needed to take it in order for them to go back further in time and take it then. Ravona: Correct. Loki: So i was supposed to take the tesseract. Ravona: no that violated the Prime Timeline. Me: AHHHHHHHRGH
This reminded me of that Jet Li multiverse movie where he played a guy who worked for a TVA like organisation, went rogue when he had to kill one of his alternate selves from a different timeline and started hunting down his doppelgangers in the multiverse. The movie was called The One.
I forgot. Is Loki openly bisexual? Or is it just that he has a plutonic love and respect for Mobius? A lot of people mistake the two. Wait...it's coming back to me....episode 3, on the train when talking about love with Sylvie.
I too think WandaVision has been the best mcu/Disney+ project so far. I loved Loki but the ending felt a little bit anticlimactic for me, in the way of casual viewers not knowing about Kang won’t know who the hell was that guy. Or just the feeling that the villain came from nowhere. I felt like WandaVision closed better Wanda’s arc but Loki’s wasn’t bc they had to set up the future of the mcu which felt a little bit rushed.
Just popping in to say I get so happy seeing your sub count grow. I just discovered you recently and love your channel! But also, I loved Loki but nothing compares to wanda vision.. that show was absolutely amazing in my eyes.
I'm torn on the ending because on one hand, I do agree that Loki and Sylvie should have sat down and discussed it while they had the chance, although I also understand why she reacted the way she did because He Who Remains spent that entire conversation subtly trying to make her distrust Loki. THAT SAID I do think that ultimately she made the right decision, even if it is the one he wanted her to make. Because at the end of the day Sylvie was right, what the TVA were doing was evil. It was literally genocide on people who for the most part not only didn't do anything wrong, they also didn't know that there were rules at all or that they were breaking them. There is no "For the greater good" way of justifying that. The only alternative I can see to killing him was them agreeing to take over the TVA, telling them all the truth about everything, and then just not pruning timelines anymore, but even then the only person saved by them taking that route is He Who Remains.
Meanwhile, me: Wow they really dumbed down Loki and his powers over the years, huh? I miss when he was an actual threat and not just when it was plot convenient
@@MilwaukeeWoman lol no. He never should have been caught by the TVA agent in the first place. That was just Disney's usual pathetic attempt at physical comedy.
I think it's funny because in episode 3 he is capable of lifting a building, but in episode 2 he got beaten up by the humans that Sylvie enchanted lol, the range of his powers and god strength is just a mess
I’ve liked all the series so far, I think Wandavision was my favorite, but I agree that I like how everything has its own vibe. Like falcon and the winter soldier was very action oriented and Loki really gave me Dr. Who in the MCU vibes. I’m excited for the new multiverse storyline, more so than any other part of phase 4, like I’m sure I’ll see all the movies but to me Multiverse of Madness is the one I want to see in theaters and the others are all ones I can wait to watch on a streaming service. I’ll definitely be tuning in for season 2 of this and the romance was odd but at the same time understandable and believable, and Loki and Sylvia had such good chemistry. I do think my favorite part of this series in particular was Loki and Mobius teaming up in like a buddy-cop kind of way.
My husband and I ordered the star wars squatch set when it launched, I think we have like 15 squatch soaps right now 😂 the candle and deodorant is also good, can confirm
my problem with romantic Loki/Sylvie is that they kind of tried to have their cake and eat it too - like, it's gross because they kept pushing the whole "they're the same person" angle, whereas, if they had made it more along the lines of "variants are people from different versions of the universe who fulfil the same purpose as each other", then they could establish that Sylvie isn't genetically the same person as Loki. for example, since Odin told her about her adoption, maybe in her universe her father wasn't Laufey, or Odin just found some other child and took them solely out of compassion.
They don’t keep pushing “they’re the same person”, the characters repeatedly say they aren’t the same. Sylvie says “I’m not you” when they have different plans, when Mobius accuses Loki of falling for himself, he refutes that she is Sylvie, her own person. They essentially just have the same role in their universes. From seeing the other variants it’s clear they don’t all share the same dna…especially because Sylvie appears to be AFAB. Males and females automatically do not have the same dna lol they aren’t identical genetically.
They obviously avoided certain topics so they wouldn't have to make people think about it more deeply and make them uncomfortable. Like talking about Thor. Imagine Sylvie having black hair and just looking like Loki's sister. That was a smart move by the costume designs. Also I believe she was refered to as Laufeydottir.
@@materla4102 There's a scene somewhere that points out that she's "Loki Laufeydottir" - meaning she's literally JUST a female version of Loki-Prime. In essence they're fraternal/dizygotic twins that kiss.
The end of the show left me disappointed. Actually, the whole show did. This was supposed to be about Loki but it was more about the TVA and Sylvie than it was about him. And he was so out of character too.
Do you remember when Loki tried to do an racial genocide in the first Thor movie? Or when he killed inocent people just for fun? And now we are supposed to believe that he is an Goofy villain that was just misunderstood.
I think my favorite part of Loki was how Old Loki gave me back hope that main universe Loki is still alive. Remember he didn't become a variant until he tried to leave his self imposed isolation meaning his survival of Thanos may very well be allowed in the main time line.
I was like “haha yeah this shows message is going to be about loving yourself” The main character falls in love with a variant version of themselves “Oh…” Are you telling me the only person who could love them is themselves? Because that’s kind of annoying. Also am I the only one who finds it annoying that a corporation tells me “don’t overthrow the person in charge because it’ll have consequences that are actually worse than what we’re doing!”
I watched every episode of one Wanda Vision with a straight face or laughing at some of the jokes. BUT LOKI KILLED ME!! When Loki got pruned i was getting flashbacks from infinity War😭 old Loki was so sad and fucking little Loki killing Thor broke my heart (also flashbacks to Ragnarok and the story with the snake. What if that was the incident?!) Agent moebius' dream that he thought he could never Accomplish! Thinking about how the agents had passed life's. Lokis face watching his life pan out! 😭 the "NOTHING MATTERS!" Loki and Sylvie's talk about love and there mother AND being lied to about being adopted. The one who remains's monologue left me filled with so much dread. The scared little boy line had me like "Oh shit he really said that?! True but damn!" I understand what is ment by Wanda Vision hitting harder but only kinda. To be honest death and grief aren't as upsetting as haveing no free will because it cheapens all of our hardships and decisions. Like visions death and everything surrounding it isn't heart-wrenching sacrifice it's some sick fuck playing with life and making us suffer. Plus i love Loki (also as a Londoner have loyalty to Tom Hiddleston) and knowing that he exists to cause pain and suffering to everyone and himself hurts me bad! Why can't he be happy?! He wants to be loved so bad but can't stop hurting himself and others because ONE GUY said so! That's so fucked 😭
@Ann-Go To My ChanneI! L!VE NOW i don't think they had to. I think that it just being just a part of him is perfect. Because for many people (me included) that is just how it is. I'm so tired of it being someone's entire personality and or reason for conflicted. Of course those stories should be told and are important but sometimes i just don't want it to be made into a big thing. Plus it's Loki, if anyone is going to be cool about his sexuality it's him. If it was a straight character them offhandedly mentioning there attraction to the opposite sex it wouldn't be made into a big deal, so why should this? It's normalising lgbtq+ people. Honestly i don't know what would be expected. Do people want him to walk around with the queer flag plastered on his chest? Dose that seem in character? I don't think so.
I hate that fact that this Loki LITERALLY just came from trying to destroy NYC to being a “good guy” in the span of 12 hours. His character arc made no sense.
I would argue that Loki's shift could make sense in a way. Mobius said that the TVA had captured and pruned more Loki's than any other variant. I believe that this shows that Loki was never really a bad person underneath it all, and in a lot of ways, fought hard for his life to change. Loki wanted to be accepted and loved equally as other people, but the constant push down from the world around him made him frustrated and angry, causing him to rebel. We find that Kang is the reason for this constant failure. No matter how hard Loki wanted to change, Kang wouldn't allow it. After getting to the TVA, in a short amount of time, Loki is learning about all the things that he would have been destined to do (being the reason his mother died), as well as witnessing his own death......mix that with the fact that, since he's no longer on the timeline, Kang's BS has less pull on him. Yes, Kang said he set things up for Loki and Sylvie to reach him, but there wouldn't be a lot needed for that. Loki and Sylvie's natural inclinations for answers/revenge would lead them to Kang, without much pushing from him. The way I see it, without Kang having as much influence on him, he's able to be the man he wants to be, which results in a better man overall. *Edited for some spelling mistakes.
Loved the show, my one and only problem with it is the universe is a big place, lots of different alien races reside in it yet the tva is run by all humans. If the tva governs literally everything everywhere, it should have been comprised of almost every creature in the universe. As far as the future of the mcu....who do i have to sacrifice to get sentry?
Yes, I totally think they could have done more with that. At the same time, the all human TVA passes gor me because it was formed by Kang- a scientist from Earth. This is what he would know, be familiar with, and know how to control.
@@kristenl2367 theres a line in the show where mobius mentions the sheer number of people the tva has brought in from loki variants to mad titans, so this show wants me to believe that regular human tva rolled up on a thanos variant and won/captured him? Again the universe has trillions upon trillions of life forms why everything seems to revolve around humans in the tva is a blunder. A skrull doing paper work or maybe a kree at the front desk. Wouldn't a titan variant be useful to employ? Again its the multiverse of options here but nahh just run by average joe's
@@_1Sentry1_ Honestly, I think the real reason the TVA is run by all humans is simply that the special effects that would be needed to make a multi-species TVA would be rather expensive.
I loved both Loki and Wanda Vision. They did a good job tying in Wanda Vision with Captain Marvel and the 'The Marvels' movie that'll be coming sometime next year after Disney releases the Ms. Marvel show.
They didn't expalain it well, but Infinity Stones don't work because they're outside their own reality. This was actually shown in a DC/Marvel crossover. Darkseid gets the Gauntlet but he can't use it in the DC Universe, because each universe has specific stones that can't work in another universe
I'm starving for the No Way Home trailer. I always liked that the Spider-Man MCU movies show how the bigger MCU film events carry over into his world, from a street-level perspective. The thought of seeing him completely out of his element and potentially dealing with some multiverse shenanigans as a result of Sylvie screwing with the timeline fills me with hype.
Fun fact you’re not the only one. Whoever put the soundtrack in Spotify literally has a song labeled Lokius. I think it’s from the last interrogation on episode 4 we’re Loki reveals the truth behind the TVA Don’t know for sure but since it’s the second volume it has to from episode 4-6 I don’t land in any particular place just wish my little frost giant can be happy for once without having to fake his death to be happy
I fully support Loki and Mobius LOL. I have since day one. Simply because it’s not toxic, and Loki makes an effort to change himself because of Mobius. I dunno about all y’all, but that shit’s cute! No hate on Loki/Sylvie shippers, but I have a lot of secondhand experience with relationships similar to theirs, and it never ends well. I think they’d be good friends though, and maybe Sylvie can eventually learn to trust him 🤗
I'm also a ride or die Lokius shipper :D great to find some likeminded people in the wild without people screaming at us that "shippers ruin everything"
Loki was really good (actually my favorite of the three new shows) but I just can't get behind the Loki/Sylvie romance. Marvel is so notorious for it's obligatory straight romance that literally no one asked for. Why can't we see love and emotion between two characters that isn't romantic? I feel time and time again Marvel forces some romantic plot that adds nothing to the story.
you can say the stuff about Sylvie being very different to Loki due to how early she was taken and stuff but if it was a Tom Hiddleston variant with the exact same backstory I think a lot more people would find it weird
I'm gonna be honest, Falcon and the Winter Soldier is still the best show outta the three. I felt more emotionally connected to the story and the characters, Loki not too much. Sylvie especially didn't gel with me. Sure you want revenge for your life being taken away but also what she did was still extremely selfish. (Then again she's a Loki so...) Overall I'm just looking forward to Kang, he's turning into a compelling villain. Oh, and Mobius on a Jetski.
I have mixed feelings about the Loki show... on the one hand, Mobius and Lokis relationship was fun to watch and I loved the whole TV storyline as well as the Loki variants. I also think it's funny that original Loki escaped Thanos just how I imagined Loki to escape. His death seemed just so stupid to me. On the other hand, Loki had his complete character change in a matter of an episode and the whole Syvie thing just disgusts me and felt forced as well...
Pretty sure Comic Drake is wearing a shirt that says "I hacked your Gaia account in 2006" - that is the most Millennial nerd deep-cut shirt I have ever seen.
Theory on Sylvie not sure others have brought up. Sylvie was deemed a variant because she uses enchantment not illusions. While it wouldn't seem that big a deal on first notice but its possible "Sylvie" is actually a variant of Amora the Enchantress born too early in the "sacred timeline"
THE WORLD IS GOING TO EXPLODE
This show made me love myself in a whole new different way lol 😂

Awesome review, as per usual! 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾
Loki being in a room full of Loki’s betraying one another with a very Loki plan is too much Loki for even Loki to deal with
Loki is the supreme narcasist. Of course, the only being a Loki could genuinely care about is another Loki. Stands to reason that a Loki's worst enemy would also be a Loki. He's the best at being the worst, regardless of multiversal origin.

I'm still not sure what hurt me more. Mobius getting pruned/killed in Episode 4, or him not recognising Loki in Episode 6.
For me it's the latter option :(
Both of them hurt pretty bad, but Mobius getting pruned made me so upset that I went on a tangent to my parents when the episode ended, going on about how I knew he was *probably* fine, but still sad he got hurt in any way
Episode 4 made me scream so hard my neighbor screamed at me... I didn't regret it, that was traumatic

Tom Hiddleston is just such a phenomenal actor. His facial acting is just so amazing.

The only criticism I have for the show is that they seem to forget that Lokis have super strength. Like, I was confused why Loki had a hard time fighting the humans Sylvie enchanted, or why Sylvie’s fight with the judge lasted more than 5 seconds.
Well remember
His powers change constantly. He had telekinesis that could hold up a falling pillar in the 3rd episode but I don't remember him doing that before.

Hey I was going to comment to check out your video on Kang. Glad to see anyone shout you out.
I didn’t care for the selfcest that much , I agree with you, it’s two different entities. My issue was the unnecessary romance like… why. Bc one is a man and one is a female then the only way to generate enough emotional conflict is by making their caring for one another romantic?? I hate that.
I liked Loki more for the sake of just being Loki understanding himself. Wanda Vision, I think, is more complete and emotional. But Loki is just fun.

it just left me very concerned for the future of these characters. like, the timelines and the possibility of other marvel characters showing up in the tva, the future is so uncertain to us but we know that marvel has a very specific plan and none of us, not even the actors, know what it is. the best we can do is hope for the best for our favs and who knows maybe some people who retired from marvel will return
U nailed it
Probably hiring different actors for the characters for less money also multiplying the shows/movies with several time-lines I'd say it's Disney, everything goes

I half imagine a situation "Hi, I'm Loki, This is my wife, Loki, and these are our children, Loki, Loki and Loki".
And the Horse?
"Oh, That's my Daughter from a prior relationship"
But maybe the implications are a bit much to contemplate.
Wasn't there that weird Loki is bi confirmation too?
Also such a missed opportunity. And the message is kind of weird with the " Loki is gender fluid and bi but ends up with the only female Loki regardless"
I mean what's the point of the information then?
They could have done so many interesting things with that character. I can't help it,I feel robbed. I loved alligator loki though.
Ngl I didn't take it as a diversity thing. Loki in the original mythology was very much fluid in the identities he took, so I figured it was just a nod to that.
I mean, I dunno about finding a female me, but finding an alligator version of me would just have me stoked as HELL
Yes! This!
I actually loved Loki a lot. The ending definitely gave me dread but...the show is also extremely comforting to me? Idk I just have a lot of feelings😅
I love the way that he finally got his own story, finally an understanding to his character

Ok I know this is about Loki but a soap business that makes star wars themed soaps where the Light side themed soaps are soothing soaps and the dark side themed soaps are exfoliating soaps is just... Genius
I think that what annoyed me the most is the "self love" through the selfcest romance, for me it's just a lazy way to "evolve" Loki, and if Sylvie is "her own person", if she's so "different", Loki is not actually learning self love at all lol, idk he just got dumb, weak and changed his personality in one episode to another
The show was great, as a tva, Kang, Sylvie show, but not Lokis, he just seems like a tool for the multiverse, he wasn't the main character at all
I didn't actually had any expectations for this show, but i gotta say that the first two episodes were masterpieces, the direction, the story, the acting and the soundtrack were just *chef kiss*, but after episode 3 it got weaker
The finale was just boring (that fight between Loki and Sylvie had no tension at all, they knew each other for only 2/3 days and seen Loki saying "after all this time you don't trust me?" It's just funny at least lol) but i really liked Kangs character! His presence was everything
He rally did carry the last ep
It would be so emotional)
The fact that they decided to go with the most predictable thing that is the romance was such a let down for the show, it's so shallow and it didn't had the proper time to develop their relationship to be even believable that they would "fall in love" in 3 days lol, (it's also really weird, I got really uncomfortable)
And the "Loki is learning to care about other people" doesn't make sense, Loki cared about other people before, he cared about Odin and Thor for example, but the fact that it's in *his nature* to betrayal and lie when he can get something out of it, makes it seems like wasn't capable of such thing, but he is!
I didn't care about Loki at all at the end, and the Sylvie betrayal was also predictable, it didn't had that *surprise* element, at the end all that we can say is "wow the multiverse is open" and that's it
I'm really afraid for the other Marvel projects, because it seems like they really don't care about the character development, just the plot for the universe to move on, for me the best series by far is wandavision, it was about Wanda and only Wanda, I don't care that "nothing happened to move the MCU" I want to care about these characters before seeing them fight together to save the world/universe
I can't wait to see Wanda in the future, can't say the same about *this* Loki tho
Omg I'm glad someone else had the same opinion
But doesn´t the TVA exist outside of the timelines? So isn´t there only one TVA?
i CANNOT wait to hear you talk about this! there’s just…. so much to unpack here
What I like about this show is that basically every character is Thor from Thor: Ragnarok, they all understand exactly who Loki is and how he acts, so just like in that movie it forces him to reflect on who he is and grow as a person.
Btw, in case you didn't catch it, before she exits Rennslayer says she's going in search of free will, which is a reference to earlier in that scene where she says "Only one person gets free will, the one in charge." So yes, she's definitely going after Kang.
I LOVED this show. The Last episode felt so... there is nothing we can do now to stop this feel
22:01 anyone else imagining strange downing a bourbon and just so tired?
Loki and Sylvie: are literal frost giants
Also Loki: Oh it's so cold, we should get a blanket and snuggle!
That scene was so damn cute
Snuggles are universal!
The writers always forget that since Thor.
@@travisgames6608 I'm pretty sure that in this case, Loki was just trying to find an excuse to snuggle with Sylvie
in the montage in episode 2 of other lokis that the TVA had dealt with one of them is in blue looking like his base frost giant form so you'd think the writers/producers knew that. Hiddleston himself gave "loki lectures" and was an executive producer but still nope the rest of the show ignores it

Personally, Loki was my favorite MCU show so far
I don't think Silvie is the same person as prime Loki.
Loki is technically just a role played by whom ever was taken to Asgard by Odin back in the war against the Ice Giants.
We don't even know if she is a progeny of Laufy. Odin could have taken any child with a connection to the throne of Jotenheim.
Her file at the TVA says "Sylvie Laufydottir" as in "daughter of Laufy". Another youtuber did a breakdown of all the easter eggs in the credits and that's where we see it at some point
if she's a Loki variant, she's another version of Loki

Okay, now that we are at minute 19, I maintain that Sylvie sent Loki to a random universe, at the same current "time and date" ( they are talking about ang wanting them to let the branches run) where he hasn't had a weeks partnership with Mobius and B-15. It makes me sad and excited at the same time.

Same! I really loved all the shows but FATWS was just SO good.
It's crazy how captain America is consistently the best part of the MCU
I think WandaVision is my favourite, but that's partly the emotion, partly the fun TV homages, and partly the experience of speculating what was going on week after week.
Also on Disney+, you should watch The Owl House if you haven’t yet! Such a great cartoon and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
My ears have been fine-tuned to always recognize Tara Strongs voiceover a lifetime. It is 100% possible to experience a crush purely from someone’s voice because I absolutely had a crush on Tara Strong long before I knew how beautiful she was irl.
He Who Remains is just so stressed and tired and I relate to him so much.
You notice how in the citidel there was a bunch of stuff in the background. However there was only one Avengers item, Iron Man's helmet.
Pretty sure in the comics the Multiverses started clashing with each other and destroying timelines. They had to set it right again.

Falcon and the Winter Solider is my favorite Disney+ show thus far followed by Wandavision, did enjoy Loki though!

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t waiting for your take on this!! Another awesome video, thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
I love Amanda's videos and marvel, so I'm super excited for this video
He's strong still, just more thoughtful and mature.
Thank you! Somebody says it!
And now we are supposed to believe that he is an Goofy villain that was just misunderstood.
sis can i just say i’m loving these button ups like damnnnnn nobody pulls off a floral button up like u❤️
(please note i ment this as a yassss queen gay compliment and not i’m hitting on u lol)
I think my favorite part of Loki was how Old Loki gave me back hope that main universe Loki is still alive. Remember he didn't become a variant until he tried to leave his self imposed isolation meaning his survival of Thanos may very well be allowed in the main time line.
Omg my boy Drake in one of your videos just made my day!!!
The fact that I got a Dr Squatch ad before the sponsor plug.
THEY KNOW
I was like “haha yeah this shows message is going to be about loving yourself”

Are you telling me the only person who could love them is themselves? Because that’s kind of annoying.
Also am I the only one who finds it annoying that a corporation tells me “don’t overthrow the

I understand what is ment by Wanda Vision hitting harder but only kinda.
Disney once again proudly anouncing a character as part of the LGBTQ community and then not doing anything interesting with it....
I only just discovered your channel like a couple days ago but omg do I love your content
I support Mobius as the true Loki love interest.
Fun fact you’re not the only one.
Whoever put the soundtrack in Spotify literally has a song labeled Lokius.
I think it’s from the last interrogation on episode 4 we’re Loki reveals the truth behind the TVA
Don’t know for sure but since it’s the second volume it has to from episode 4-6
I don’t land in any particular place just wish my little frost giant can be happy for once without having to fake his death to be happy
Me too. I like Sylvie but there really wasn't much chemistry between Loki and her.
(Then again she's a Loki so...)
Overall I'm just looking forward to Kang, he's turning into a compelling villain.
Sylvie and Agatha are really such great additions to the MCU
1120% Yes
I don't know if you've seen The Good Place, but somehow a sitcom is the series that gave me the most existential dread, I don't think I'm over it yet.
Owen Wilson is so good in this series, it is insane
Loved the Video. Suprised that you didnt mention the Loki - WandaVision scene Matchup
The end also means one thing: The return of Ben Affleck Daredevil.
Pretty sure Comic Drake is wearing a shirt that says "I hacked your Gaia account in 2006" - that is the most Millennial nerd deep-cut shirt I have ever seen.
This is the first new upload since I found and subscribed to your channel. I feel kinda late to the game but love catching up on your older content.
But she didn’t know enchanting when she was taken. She tells Loki she learned it on her own while on the run.
