How To Play 'Chito' on Tres Cubano | Tres Cubano | Cuban Tres

This is Cambron Jr's homage to the late great Changui Tresero Chito Latamble. The song was written by Francisco Hernandez Valiente, he is on the cover of the album holding the bongos, however I believe for this track he is playing both Tres and singing.
In this video I am playing my "rustic" tres. It's a full size converted guitar with a capo on the second fret. I've noticed that most Changui Treseros play full size guitars with Octaves on both the G and E strings. I don't think Changui sounds right without octaves on the E.

Hey! I love the sound of this converted guitar into a tres, it has a completely different (but equally beautiful) character in comparison to the normal scale treses (which are a bit more bright and focused to my ears. Are you also using the tailpiece for this conversion? I think Im gonna go ahead and convert a full size guitar instead of a 3/4. Ive tried both and I just love the tone of the full scale, especially when “El lento“ Echavarria plays one. Anyways, sorry for the long message and thanks for keeping the tres alive with your channel!
