Awesome to see this product it looks actually like a good shoulder pad that wont be a sweat point on your shoulder. Looks a bit like the underside of the hsgi pads without them being so thick.

IceVents are actually quite different from the HSGI shoulder pads in that HSGIs are solid, made from nylon and not constructed from a hexagonal honeycomb cellular matrix like IceVents. D.B db This is probably more info then you need but I’d rather be safe and get you a complete answer. If you are trying to simply “shorten” the length of the IceVents you can cut about an inch and a half from each end shortening the total length to approximately 7.75”. However, in doing so you will eliminate the horizontal slits which are designed to work with Duffel Bag shoulder straps or Slings.
We've tested thicker versions, but they just add bulk with no additional performance gain. Our goal is always to build with the minimum amount of materials possible to for max effectiveness at the fat part of the Bell Curve without solving too much for edge cases.

But you charge 60 bucks... your competitors are half that price. They may not have airflow, but I feel the reason most people are buying pads is for more cushion.
