    I like the part about the mentality of getting paid for effort vs getting paid for results. I keep hearing other rich people and friends talk about they are results driven. Seems like some employees who put in half effort still ask for full pay, though if on the other hand they are paid solely on results, they kick the game up several notches and benefit in more ways then just financially.

    I have a bad habit of not asking for help, it has nothing to do with pride or thinking I can do it myself. It has to do with my childhood. One of the three things would happen if I asked anyone in my family for help with my homework: 1) ignore me completely.
    2) tell me after reading the question & the book pages, “the answer is somewhere on this page” as if I hadn’t known it...they could have said “within this paragraph, lies the answer”.
    3) grab the paper out of my hand while down sizing me, criticizing me all the while answering the question for me...I just understand the question for it was too vague.
    Other than that I prefer learning, have no problem admitting when I’m wrong (my grandmother once told me “the strongest person in a room is the one who can admit they are wrong”). I ask myself when I find I am wrong about something, “what have I learned from this experience?”
    Money is within a grey area, as is ALL things (including all life, the planet, our universe & the cosmos). It’s what is behind it, what is the motive, what is the action. In other words it would the person who is using the money who should be judged, nit the money. It’s just there, it’s currency that has been made for trading for goods. It’s not evil cause it can be used in more good ways than bad...in fact the only way money has ever been bad is when the world was unable to use it- the Great Depression.
    Yes, I do care about money, I prefer offense (they win more times than they loose). Life is a bit like Chess, you’re always learning; you’re always on the offense and your judgment is not on the pieces or on the other player, it’s their actions.

I had a net worth of about a million at age 26. However all of this still means nothing to me as a person. Im not as happy as people would think. Being rich should be a goal but being wealthy is different from person to person.

    Money puts a spot light on one's efforts in figurative expression of measurable way. People associate their successes on subjective intangible things which can not not be measured to justify any lack, incompentencies or at the best to camouflage failures.

    • @unknownprofile8909
      @unknownprofile8909 5 лет назад +2

      Same here. But I've found after being raised by a single mom who went above and beyond despite being broke she never ask for anything. Being rich help me provide for her. As well as make sure I have food in my kids stomach every night if i ever decide to have any. I've slept in motels, cars, on park benches and gotten up at 4 am and taken public transit to go to my towns good school while in the ghetto all before the age of 18. I know you can be happy without money. But I also know money can reduce a lot of stress and it easier to care for people that you want to.

    It doesn’t have a lot to do with money but in school I’ve always struggled with asking for help, I just felt like I already knew everything and I just was being lazy to apply it when in reality I just wanted to look like a know it all.A s the results showed in my grades I’ll start asking for help

    Thank you for this! Great way to illustrate how to shift our thinking. I love the part we can't do everything. It tends to wear us out when we try to do everything. Teamwork and asking for help, being proactive, being in it to win it, commitment and learning constantly, result vs effort, and so much more! Thank you!
