While this is a bigger discussion. People who find themselves in the same pole is because they tried the same thing over and over again. The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing and expecting different results". Now of course "luck" could be considered a variable in all this, but don't buy into this. Most people just hang on the same idea and never let go. Also, as in finance you don't have to put all your money in one basket its the same with ideas. If you only focus on one idea for too long and it doesn't pan out, then its hard to get over it.

This video actually tells us more about the rich, than it does about the poor. People often never tell us the truth, but instead tell us their own truth, and end up telling us more about them than what they're actually talking about. The one reality that refutes this entire video is this one truth: Not everyone can be rich. That's why there will always be poor. If everyone owned a business, no one would have employee's to work in that business, nor would they have the customers to keep their businesses afloat. Just like If everyone had a college degree, there wouldn't be enough college level jobs to employ them. Not even close. Someone will always have to be a secretary or clean the toilets or something like that, even in a world of automation. And with automation, one machine can do the work of 100 people or more. It only takes a small percentage of the population to produce all the things we need. If everyone was an entrepreneur or business owner, there would be too much supply and not enough demand to make income or be successful. Until we have infinite energy on tap, and star trek style replicators to produce anything we can dream of out of thin air, there will always be poor people.
But what this guys point of view does tell us, is that the rich want to believe that every success in their lives are down to their own personal achievements. They want to ignore circumstance, or luck, and reality in general, because it allows them to feel like they're better than everyone else, that everyone else is poor because they're not as good as them, or lazier than them. This mentality allows the rich to basically circle jerk themselves about how great they are compared to everyone else. It makes them feel strong, powerful, intelligent, etc.....which is an alluring and intoxicating state of mind, but also a very self centered state of mind.
The real truth that rich people don't want you to know, is that rich people are only rich, because poor people exist to work for them. Without poor people, the rich wouldn't exist. They wouldn't have anyone to do all of the jobs that serve as a backbone for civilization, doing all the hard work that pays relatively little in comparison. The guy that builds homes might be making relatively good money, but he's not getting rich off of it. And people need homes, but they can only pay soo much for homes, so market value limits their income. Most jobs are jobs that need to be done that don't pay very well and won't make people rich, because they may be indispensable to society, but they aren't a high individual value to society. You can't squeeze water from stone.
For example, people need their floors cleaned and trash emptied in their offices, but they're not going to pay someone $100,000 to do it. If all custodians across the world suddenly went on strike, that wouldn't make companies pay them more. If it really came down to that, companies would either find a way to automate the process, or make existing employee's clean up after themselves. But it wouldn't come down to that, because there's always someone willing to do the job because they need to put a roof over their head. Crappy jobs may need to be done, but the value of that work also has a finite value to those purchasing the work, and if that value goes too high, they'll simply find other ways to get the job done for cheaper. Efficiency is a double edged sword, and efficiency is ultimately about doing things easier or cheaper. So every time some efficiency is introduced into business; someone, somewhere, ultimately loses opportunity to prosper.
But there is one truth in what he said...they want to keep you poor and hungry so they can keep you thinking and grinding. But that's also why they want to make you think if you just try hard enough you are guaranteed to be rich too. It keeps you grinding for them, like a carrot on a stick, always reaching but always out of your grasp. Then when you're old and the reward never came, they'll tell you "You just didn't try enough", or "Money isn't everything, you're rich in family!". And while money isn't everything...it still doesn't change that they've lead you on with a lie, and used you up to the last drop, then threw you away only to replace you with someone else to start the whole process all over again.

@@OMGAnotherday It's affordable....if all you want to subsist on is raw vegetables and rice.
The problem is, you can't have all the amenities of modern civilization, which isn't affordable.
See, it may only take 2% of the population to farm all of the food we produce, but there's more steps than that between farm and food on the table.
Stuff must be processed to be turned into other stuff. Milk has to be turned into butter, sour cream, etc.
Once you have UBI, you are basically deciding the hard limits of prosperity for most of society. Which means instead of working more or harder to have this or that, there is a limit of how much you can get for yourself.
You don't become equally rich under UBI, but rather you become equally poor.
That also doesn't even consider the market effects on things like pricing of products. If prices double, and everyone is making the same thing, and there are people who have no opportunity to get a job, then their UBI isn't going to mean much, and they'll be stuck in poverty that makes them half as poor as when UBI was initially introduced.
In order to pay for UBI with tax dollars, you need to actually have the tax dollars to cover it to begin with. With automation, that means less people paying taxes. Which means less money for UBI.
If all of the companies are producing stuff, even if automated, and don't need workers, but are also paying for UBI, that is like the snake eating its own tail. So they're paying for UBI, who then pays the company for the products they buy, who then takes that money and pays it back to the government in taxes to be doled out in UBI. That's not profit lol, that's not even breaking even. That's just recycling their own money to essentially get them to produce stuff for free, and at a cost to the business owners running the automation systems.
      UBI is simply unsustainable.

The ones telling the story are the ones who did succeed. Wanna know how many others with almost exactly the same approach and mindset didn't?...
How I see it, you can't ever truly succeed if your objective is as pathetic as accumulating what is supposed to be, by definition, a means to an end, not an end by itself. That's just wasting your life and has nothing to do with something as childish as a "rich or poor mindset". Get a real motivation and then live your life. Have a great experience. That's what every personal goal should aim for. it's naive to think that what people call succes (which nowadays is a direct synonym of money) has a formula to get there. There are too many variables implicated and, no matter how ready you think you are, you'll probably fail (which is the only real teaching in this video: keep trying! That raises the odds. Be stoic about failure); which happens even more due to so many people trying to make others fall. Yes, you can learn many things that can potentially help you, but, as long as your objective isn't a real one, you'll always be miserable in the inside, no matter if you shit money or if you're a fucking hobo.

“You have to do sacrifices for what you want, or else what you want, will become the sacrifice”
A year ago I was completely lost, in a relationship with no future but was afraid if I ended it I would be alone, stuck at a job that felt was not paying me what I deserve, stuck in school feeling like I was doing no progress, getting closer to my 30s I felt like a complete failure. A job that just payed the bills but felt like a slave, like it took all my time but was afraid no other job would pay me the same, you know I had bills and rent I needed my job, no degree, hating every minute of school feeling like I was wasting my life on memorizing stupid things to pass a test and never again use that information. I got so depressed and lost like I never felt in my entire life.
Then somehow it hit me, I just knew I had to change, I had to do something, not next month, not next year, not one day, but right then and there.
I took a risk and switch jobs, I hated it at first, felt so out of place, being a rookie when I knew everything in my previous job, but I put the effort to learn and I started to make more money working less hours, finally felt free!
Got out of that relationship that had no future and learned that being single is not the same as being alone. Self love is a powerful thing you can do for yourself.
Dropped out of school, what I was studying wasn’t gonna pay me more than what I was getting paid then so why waste my time memorizing stupid things for a piece of paper, so what if I don’t have a degree? If my family doesn’t approve who cares I am an adult and ask for nothing from no one. Care only what you think about yourself and not what other people may think even if it is your own family or friends.
Took some risk, my new job shutdown, but lead me into the job that I have now and I make even more now, if I didn’t had taken the risk I would had still been stuck in the first one. The extra money has allow me to save money, but I knew there had to be a better way, a smarter way, I end up reading about Robert Kiyosaki and learn about assets and liabilities, it change my mind completely.
Now I have more time to enjoy things, all the extra money from my new job is use to invest! I am making more money than ever, and feel like with some sacrifices in the next few years I will achieve financial freedom to work as little as possible and have a steady income to travel and do the things I like. Because at the end we only have one life to live!

One of the many good points in this video. However, I must take exception to the foundation of this presentation "Let money do the work" because it requires exploiting others. If it didn't, no one would being going to work anymore because hey, we're going to "Let money do all the work." What's wrong with this picture?
It's called indifference and greed. The infamous "I don't care if it hurts others all long as I get direct, exclusive, immediate and continuous benefits out of it" attitude. The game is rigged (Fractional Reserve banking is just one example) and most do not care - provided they're on the getting rich side of the extortion taking place as a way of life. The popularity of this video is just one sad example of this self-absorbed mindset that is a prominent habit of our collective conscience.

Edison was a master manipulator who did everything for money alone. He tried his best to keep Tesla struggling. Tesla was the real genius.
Edison was a pure businessmen who was also credited for the installation of DC current at the time and this current powered an entire city. DC as we know has limits and the cost of powering a city was ultra expensive and profitable for Edison. But when Tesla invented AC current and sent a letter to Edison to show case his invention Edison asked Tesla to quit his job n come over to America n meet him. Upon meeting Tesla who was almost penniless at the time Edison employed Tesla in his lab n gave him embarrasing and elementary tasks which would have angered a normal man to quit. Edison ignored all requests from Tesla to switch to AC current as AC current would be a lot cheaper than DC and his invention would be thrown out of the window n he would incur heavy losses. Hence Edison tried his best to be an asshole and keep Tesla under him and later on when Tesla eventually quit, Edison started to mock him in public and take him down. When they say "dont work for money, work because you love doing it" is just a myth or more like propaganda. "There will always be people who have less than you."
Really? Guess what. There will always be people who are fatter than you. Or uglier. Or less healthy. This does not prevent you or everyone else from getting in shape. The same applies for money.
Noone said you have to get on the top in a competition to earn money. Noone said you have to hurt anybody to earn more money. The reason why businesses fail is mostly because of bad leadership. Why would an unorganized and bad company make as much as a company which was built with effort and quality? Taken into a more familiar perspective, think of a beautiful woman who has to chose between a healthy and handsome person and an unhealthy fat and ugly person. The result is obvious, but don't forget that the fat and unhealthy person can always chose to be healthy and fit. So can the failing businesses reorganize themselves in another sector in which they will be successful. For example, opening a barber shop while theres 5 more nearby would be a bad business decision, especially when the town is lacking bakeries. You fill the blank, create value, and the people willingly pay for your goods, so you get rich. You did nothing evil, in fact you couldn't have done better.
Besides that, successful people are not successful because they are lucky. Luck is the belief of poor people who want to get rich by doing nothing but lottery. Good luck for that :)
"It's not the money that should be questioned, it's the morality behind this system."
Capitalism is the only moral system. Socialist ideologies look inviting for people who don't know how capitalism work, mainly because it is not taught in the school and having all the "calculations" and basic understanding of economics that comes with finances exceeds the capacity of the average poor person (because they are taught to be dumb and fed shitty food). There is an ongoing "crusade" against the rich people and money by governments, because money can buy you freedom. Don't forget that communism is basically giving up all your rights and let a handful of people decide over the masses. The exact opposite happens if capitalism and free market is let to work without government intervention.
Collectivism is a myth, or more like total bullshit. Great inventions of the past centuries have always came from people chasing their personal interests and not sacrificing themselves for some "greater good". By taking care of your own needs first (not by taking from others) you can operate at a much higher level, and thus help others much more. It's not the poor people who give the most charity to those who need, and not the poor people who are capable to buy back rainforests to leave them untouched, and so on.

Yeah. If you already have something to start with, it's relatively easy to make more money if you're smart about it. Making money gets exponentially more difficult the less you start out with. That's why there are loans, incubators, seed accelerators, etc. You can't make big money without acquiring big money first. That's the problem. Every resource in this world is locked behind a dollar sign. Especially in the west, the elite have already been established. The time when all it took was initiative is coming to an end. So while I agree with most of the points in this video, it's not quite as simple as unlocking your mind.

I trade forex too btw. Yesterday in a chatroom I saw some guy place a 270 lot size order. He was making $5K per pip, and put 200k on margin. I think that's a perfect illustration of what I'm talking about.

    • @amaze2n
      @amaze2n 5 лет назад +2

@@flodging I can't answer that question definitively. What I'll say is, it's not worth it if you're not serious about it. Most of the popular trading techniques out there are going to lose you money. Forex trading is nothing like stock trading, it actually moves away from the crowd. If you're not ready to put it the huge amount of work and experimentation to create, test, and stick with your own system, it's better to keep your money safe. It's definitely not something you jump into not knowing what you're doing.
I can point you to a good RUclipsr who teaches a pretty good learning structure to follow, No Nonsense Forex. Watch the beginner video and you can decide if this is something you want to pursue. Make sure to find a reputable broker and educate yourself. Demo trade for at least 6 months before putting real money on the line. Good luck.

There is no such "system" that can alter a persons genetics to equal another's. Athletic, Musical, Beauty, Intelligence, Creativity are all genetic. Equally competition, risk taking, and even greed are tied to our genetics. Systems only serve to reward or punish our genetics.

Unfortunately having a family is the biggest liability a person can ever take on in their life along with a mortgage and student loans.
It's possible to run a family without being wealthy, but to start a family without wealth already in place really makes obtaining wealth much harder. Basically it's more negative cash flow, and if your only income is a paycheck then you will be able to invest less in assets than someone who does not have to pay for a family.
It really depends on the priority of the individual, I know plenty of people who have families and would not trade them for the world, whereas I myself, because I don't have a wife and kids of my own I have nothing to miss, so I'm just focusing on money.

    • @57Raz
      @57Raz 5 лет назад +35

That is missing the point. He's not saying they're too lazy to hold a job they've been told how to do by someone else who controls them. He's saying they're too lazy (and afraid) to learn and do what it takes to be the guy in control. And not the foreman, who just takes a check from the manager... he's talking about the guy taking responsibility for the whole money-making enterprise - and controls what happens to himself as well as the guys working in the hot factory. Why don't they do what it takes to get out of that factory and determine their path on their own terms? It's hard work, it's hard learning, it's risky, and they're too lazy, afraid, and psychologically deterred from taking that path. Rich people are often said to not play by the rules. But it's that they are playing a different game by another set of rules. Oh, and it is a game - a competition - and the other people playing are out there fighting against you so the only thing that matters is not your excuses or justifications but your performance. It's like the difference between paying to watch football as a fan versus going out for the team. And then it's the difference between being a team player, versus figuring out how to get the entire team to win and making that happen. The only difference is in the business world, the touchdowns your team makes earn you money. He's really talking about being in control of your own survival. There are plenty of lazy ways to be rich by some definition, but they usually involve someone else being in control of your handouts.

Working for someone is considered an employee because that person is paying you. By saying fancy terms like independent contractors doesn't exclude you from what an employee is.

Drunk3n Gaming that’s a very basic mindset. But seeing how you think this way and the fact that you believe that the term independent contractor is a fancy term, then I already know the system failed you. And for that I’m truly sorry man.

@@smokinace926 I'm well aware of the system but Im realistic and don't pretend to use words to try and make me feel richer or more intelligent. You work for a paycheck whether its a day or a month ur just another employee for that duration. You are not going to convince me a fat person is not a fat person by using a different word to describe them.

Drunk3n Gaming Everybody works for somebody. Entrepreneurs works for their clients, customers, or even big and small corporations.
If u pay somebody to fix ur chair, that person u just paid to fix ur chair is not ur employee. He or She is a contractor.
The contract is base on getting the chairs fix.
Entrepreneurs can work for other entrepreneurs as company can work for other companies.

@J B actually I do know someone who sagged their pants and smoked pot all day who owns a business and makes a killing. He has a nice Tesla and two homes. He spends the rest of the money on Cocaine. It's sad really Q_Q
Even with all that money he still struggles. He's doing better than the class valedictorian financially but in many other ways he's doing worse.

We can all use a touch of critical thinking to understand what he means by that...
And even if you apply it to the word, it still holds some truth. While you are developing an idea that could be a business, it is all for free, on top of your everyday work. Plus most of the time, people around you will not take you seriously. If that one time your idea survives and you make it to fundraising, it is still for no money for yourself. Once money has been invested into your business, you still do not get a salary and that is the real hard moment: you now have to work full time and more on your business while making no salary. That will last until your company makes enough money to pay you, which means no deficit. And once you make money, it will not be a salary either, so you do have to learn to manage it.

    • @sebastienchamarande5710
      @sebastienchamarande5710 5 лет назад +6

@Aaronthehays in that case, they fit the model Robert is talking about. You make your own plans... I started out with shitty jobs that barely allowed me to pay the bills -> my priority then was to find a better job -> when I finally got a better job -> use free time to develop a project. At some point, I was ready, started looking for investors... Raised two millions euros and got the business started. I have never put one personal cent into any of my businesses, and you should never do that anyways.
If the only motivation is money, cool if thats all you want. But you sure cannot hope you will make loads of money if it is your only motivation. It happens in movies a lot, it is much less common in real life, although still possible.
Like he explained, we are programmed to think that the priority is a salary, then ownership of a home, car, etc. Honestly, during low times, it was tough to see everyone around me going on vacation and coming back to homes they owned, etc. But now... People think I am lucky, or super smart, or whatever. It is all positive, but luck has nothing to do in this. I aint smarter either. I just didnt make excuses and it wasnt even out of a sentiment of nobility, or being worth it and what not. I just felt I could not fit into the regular lifestyle, it terrified me. I am just saying it is really up to anyone, I guess.
