Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on Tuesday inspected Xinhua Forest Farm in Bayannur City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Since 1978, this farm has been combating salinization of cultivated land. After 45 years of efforts, the area has been transformed from a desert into an oasis.

Incredible leadership doing great things for their countries future.
Continuity of projects and developments are what made China a success. Other countries (including mine) are always plagued by selfish and greedy politicians power grabbing and politicking, hardly anything ever gets done. When government changes they'll just blame all problems on the previous government, on and on the cycle keeps repeating. Prime example the U$, all their problems have been accumulating since the beginning and has now come crashing down. Short of a revolution, it will only get worse.
There is nothing more satiating than watching a desert get transformed in to a green beauty. China is making wonders.

A lot of work has been done in Romania in fixating sand dunes hundreds of thousands of hectares) with Robinia pseudaccacia (Black locust tree from s,outh eastern US) which has a tremendous root system, fast growth and resilience to drought. I wished I could have worked in China on one of this reforestation projects....

The most admirable things happened in the last 10 years in China is the poverty affiliation and desert conversion. Currently I don't know any country that does this on a massive scale like China. They called it an achievement when Israel did things in a relatively insignificant barren lands compared to China.

The difference China makes taking care of nature, environment, ecological system compared to other countries destroying it by wars and heavy industry. China is a example to many to follow.
On the short run, it's a great project, but there's an impact on the Albedo effect, which may lead to a rise of the global temperature. This should not stop China to green their land.

So many small and medium private companies have closed down or struggling. They can't get funding. There's no VC (Venture Capital) too in China. All these so call VC need guaranteed return (对赌协议) from founder which is unheard of in the international (exclude China) VC world. They behave like a financial institution but yet operating without financial institution license. The entrepreneur landscape in China is in a very unhealthy state. Chinese government allow this type of unprofessional and unethical practice is a cause of alarm.
