One of the Teams I cover on community radio is So Shields. I was at West Auckland Town yesterday the 1st winners of the world Cup in 1909 and again in 1912 with 6-1 in Turin over Juventus. They play at the Wanted Stadium, in Co Durham and defeated league leaders Morpeth Town 3-2, only their 2nd defeat this season. So Shields at home to Ossett Town next week. I think that is the Robertson Jam factory behind Droylsden football ground. Been canal boat holiday b4, the Rochdale canal passes the Jam Factory, we passed this on our holiday barge.

I went to Workington v Whitby Town on a pitch in a similar state last year. I tweeted them in the morning asking if there was a pitch inspection and they said no, I got there and as I did the ref did, standing water everywhere but the game was declared as ON, still think it was only because Whitby had arrived at that point, good 4 hour journey. Good vid pal, I need to do more grounds in the Manchester area.

Enjoyed it, Droylsden is one I've wanted to visit for a while. Good that it was played, no need to call games off in that state, it's perfectly fine

Gabriel McEvoy not yet, it’s been sent off for repair. I used a mixture of my girlfriends camera & my phone for this blog but it isn’t sustainable this way
