    I don’t think a lawn has ever been given so much love. I hope she appreciates it!
    Great video as always - looking forward to Spring time.

    Just a small tip..
    When I spray and do a second pass I go across I think it helps to ensure no missed areas..

    A1 seems to have changed, could you send a link for the iron sulphate please as I cannot find it on the site?

    Great video,lawn looks in good shape for going into the spring, out of curiosity what would you think your front lawn would be better with no bush?

      Getting rid of that bush is quite the debate in my house! I’m very much on the side of binning it off 😂

    Decent dude! I did my iron a few weeks ago. Kinda mullered the lawn and now it's muddy but I'm not expecting anything else quite yet. Take care!

      I just do multiple passes until it runs out, but I know now that 2-3 passes does the job

    Didn't realise you had a Webb 12R? Be nice to see the front lawn cut with that later this year, or even to see you experiment with some bent grass in one of your rear lawns.

      I only picked this up yesterday. Can’t wait to use it on the lawns once things dry up a bit and I can start cutting a bit shorter!

      Would be nice to get your thoughts on the Webb hand push mower. I got one last year and didnt really get on with it. I found that the ground needs to be REALLY flat and level and the grass needs to be quite short. Maybe you can review it?

      @NoviceGardener  3 месяца назад

      Will do - I’ll post a review once I can get on the lawn with it. I got the back lawn quite short last year so hopefully it will do a job, hopefully anyway 🤞

    I also purchased the A1 Lawn granular iron recently and used my 20L Oregon knapsack sprayer across my lawn but noticed after a few meters the sprayer stopped spraying and it seems the tube/wand was getting blocked constantly to a point where i had to strip the wand (which resulted in a liquid explosion of iron water everywhere!) and unblock some of the nozzles/filters with a needle within it. I've had no luck with this sprayer when spreading the granular iron and the metal handle pump recently snapped off due to the pressure i was putting on it to spray! Did you have this issue with yours and do you have any suggestion to getting the iron to completely dissolve in the knapsack sprayer? Thanks!

    • @NoviceGardener
      @NoviceGardener  2 месяца назад +1

      I've not had any issues with it myself. It might be a case of the granular not being fully dissolved. You could always try doing this in a bucket before pouring it into the sprayer. Not 100% sure, but it could fix the problem.

    Just out of interest, did you add any iron to your back lawns. Those are similar to mine and will probably renovate in the spring so wondering if it’s worth it yet as it’s a mainly mud and a very thin lawn (currently also water drainage issues due to heavy rain).

    • @NoviceGardener
      @NoviceGardener  3 месяца назад +2

      I didn’t yesterday for that reason. I’m going to wait until it firms up a bit. It’s frustrating as I’m dying to get on the lawn with some seed, but we’re still some time off of that yet!

  • @JonathanPalomboPhoto

    would you suggest just the iron or looking on A1 i can get feed, weed and moss killer?

    • @NoviceGardener
      @NoviceGardener  3 месяца назад

      The feed weed and moss killer is good, but it will delay when you can get on with seed a bit longer

    What type of nozzle is that on your sprayer mate?

    • @NoviceGardener
      @NoviceGardener  3 месяца назад +1

      It’s called a flat fan nozzle. I used a sprayer with a round spray pattern once, but it’s hard to get an accurate spray!

  • @JonathanPalomboPhoto

    We have a lot of moss showing, is the iron that kills the moss and not the grass?

    • @NoviceGardener
      @NoviceGardener  3 месяца назад

      Yep, iron is what will kill the moss. Once it goes black, you can rake it out.
