If each working person in illinois pays his/her fair share that would be about $8,400. That would cover the budget. But what happens to the rest of the money they collect in taxes and from the federal government? Sales tax, lottery, liquor licenses, motor vehicle registrations etc….you get the picture?

The new budget will cost Illinois residents $870 million in tax increases. The proposal also includes $182 of taxpayer funding to cover state expenses for illegal's and another $440 million towards a Medicaid-style health benefit plan for illegal's.
